We visited today to hear a friend sing. Wow what a joy to find a pub so friendly and reminding us (we are goldie oldies)of how local pubs used to be. It was buzzing. We will be back, we loved the atmosphere.

We stumbled across the pub walking through a residential area on the road to Lemmington Spa. A couple of pints and the best fish and chips ever, we happily rambled on. Totally recommendable, not that obvious to stumble across. But if you are looking for gems.....

We went there today after visiting the model railway exhibition. We called to book a table and half an hr later we was accommodated. It was an lovely oldy world pub, plenty of parking and a lovely atmosphere. On arrival they took us to our table and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very friendly. The food was home cooked and delicious. We will definately drive there again even though its an hr n hlf away. We will be telling our family and next time not only will we taking people with us but taking darts too and enjoying another game of pool.

Sigourney, Mine Host of the Plough and Harrow provided, under the restrictions of COVID a compliant venue, advising us of guest limitations and all current restrictions. The food laid on was exactly to our requirements, served beautifully warm and the empty plates now testament to the great quality of the fayre. I'm a bitter drinker, finding Timothy Taylor "Landlord" bitter on draught was a real result! Further enhanced by the quality of the pint served! A difficult day further eased by pleasant courteous staff, suitably guarded with face masks, drinks dispensed and served to the table with efficiency! I would strongly recommended that if you're in a similar unfortunate situation of having to organise a wake or similar function that you at very least consider the Plough and Harrow. My sincere thanks to Sigourney and team for a wonderful experience on a terrible day, delivered at moderate cost, just as a bonus! Steve.

We had a gathering for family and friends during the covid situation, the landlady, Sig ,was extremely helpful and made the experience comfortable and at ease. It was a very hot day and gazebos were put around the garden for us ,with plenty of areas where we could sit the food was brought out to us there and there was also a bar in the garden too.The menu we ordered was excellent and the service was great, all the staff were very helpful and friendly !!

Dropped in to the Plough and Harrow while visiting the area one lunchtime and we are very glad we did.It has a nice black and white frontage and ample parking to the front and once inside is pleasantly decorated with a slate floor in the bar.The staff were lovely and welcoming, there was a good selection of beers and the food was lovely. We will certainly visit again when in the area.

I Hadn’t visit this pub for some time and had a fantastic meal and evening drinks last month. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The Landlady was so kind, friendly and genuinely cares that all her customers have an enjoyable visit. Would highly recommend this pub to all types, the garden has a great play area to keep the kids entertained and the food was lovely!!Now has a gluten free menu too which means I will be visiting again soon with my Dad!

First (and last) time here. Came with friends to hear Abba tribute band. However, it was in a separate area where people were having a meal, so a ticketed event. My friend and I were standing at the doorway listening, unaware that we were obscuring the view of other paying customers in the main bar area. A member of staff approached us and shouted at us to get out of the way as there were customers who had paid and couldn't see. We couldn't believe the way she was talking to us; it was so aggressive. We began to explain that we didn't realise that was the case....to which she replied "I'm not arguing with you, I'm telling you". We were left speechless at her rude and unprofessional manner. I then saw her look over at the afore-mentioned group and she gave them a knowing look and grin. When I went to complain about her treatment of us I was told that she was in charge!! She came over and said to me "If you don't like it you can leave.." If this is how you treat your customers luv, you won't last long in the business. This pub seems to be very much a locals, regulars pub, which does not welcome newcomers (despite the ironic welcome sign outside..lol). This young woman is such a bad advertisement for the pub and should not be in such a role. I will add though that the younger man who served me was pleasant and a younger girl was helpful and friendly. I just feel sorry for them....

Watery, tasteless mushrooms. Ate 2 felt sick. Lady on the next table fed the chips to her dogs!Chef needs a scrub, and some teeth. Didn’t really give me confidence and I was right! Called in here after previous visits for a quick lunchtime snack, however the menu on a bank holiday must be different! The cheese and tiny bit of onion sandwiches we ordered came on sliced white bread which was obviously stale, with a tiny bit of salad and were charged at £5 each. The normal menu states these sandwiches are £4.50 and come with french fries, however when we questioned this we were told that's what they had been told to charge. Then asked for a refund and was told the Manager was not there and no-one could do this! Fries were extra! We will not be returning which is a shame after previous good visits

Visiting Leamington on a football day out, had a very nice couple of hours and obviously it was busy. A good selection of beers that went down a treat, had food as well and it was perfection. I had a steak panini with chips and salad and also tried the homemade scotch eggs which were also cooked to perfection with a runny yolk mmmmmmm. Though the staff were under pressure they were excellent, the lady in charge was a lovely lady friendly and warm. Hope to visit again next season.

I went to a lovely taster evening in the pub last night. This pub really is one of the hidden gems of Warwickshire. Beautiful Victorian place, chilled out atmosphere, great beers and some lovely nooks to relax. The food last night was great. Well priced honest British food that did not disappoint. The Plough Burgers were fab and I have had a very nice steak there a couple of months ago. You cant go wrong. It is also great in the summer for families with a bouncy castle and playground for the kids and a nice deck to sit out on. The Plough has a real community feel and there are loads of fab events there through the year including a great Firework night and Christmas Fayre.

My friends and I have eaten at The Plough for several years and have always been very satisfied with the food and service. My friend and I decided to have lunch there today and arrived around 12.15 PM. There were only a couple of people in the pub/restaurant when we arrived. We went to the bar to order drinks and food - the bar person said to have a seat and she would come over and take our order. (She was engaged with another person at the bar at the time). We found a table and sat down and had a look at the menu. On previous visits, during maybe the previous 4 or 5 years, there was a lighter lunch menu (I think priced at £4.95) which was a smaller serving than the main menu but there was no such menu today. Disappointment No. 1. Also, after waiting for 15 minutes, no-one came to take our order so we got up and left. Disappointment No. 2. Will probably not be going back for a very long time. We ended up going to another pub and had an absolutely marvelous meal!!

Great atmosphere and a most tasty carvery. Unfortunately, the night we were there it was extremely busy and a couple of the orders were very late in arriving. Meaning that those of our party who had a carvery had finished their meals before the other two meals came. However, hoping it was just a blip on the night.

The plough and Harrow is walking distance from our house so we decided to come here for a Father's Day. My wife booked a table for 17.30 for me, my wife and 5 year old son, upon arrival the restaurant was near enough empty so we had a choice of where to sit once we was seated we ordered some drinks and went to the carvery bar. There was there small pieces of meat which looked like they had been sat there a long time and as for the vegetables well what can I say! I don't know how long they had been sat there but it was all mushy and discoloured, it was just about edible! With plenty of gravy and mint sauce it was ok.To be honest I would not go back for an evening meal especially for an occasion but we will give lunch a try in the summer because you can't really go wrong with a sandwich and they have a bouncy castle for the kids.

After coming back from a meeting I received 9 MISSED CALLS on my phone (which I thought the world had ended at this point). But no voice mail. I called them back and after constantly being talked over I managed to squeeze in with a 'I'll get back to you'.Couple of days later I received a further 5 MISSED CALLES from this place. I again couldn't get a word in edgeways and after all that faffing I decided to cancel my booking. Went for Sunday lunch . It was basically very good. However having ordered a chicken dish with salad and a Sunday roast (which was advertised with roast and new potatoes) we heard the people at the next table moaning that there were no new potatoes. I thought it odd I had not been offered an alternative but assumed I would have mash potatoes or more roast on my plate. When it came it was nice beef (slightly rare) , a yorkshire pudding and two very small roast potatoes . No other potatoes so I called the waiter over and asked where the new ones were , as advertised on the menu. He said that they had run out but that he could get me some mashed potatoes. I said yes. However i had to remind him after a while to fetch them as I did want to have them while there was still some food on my plate . When they came they were hot and good. However I would have thought when I ordered the meal was the time to offer me them.

The food here is unexpectedly great! We both had burgers and, whilst we thought the price was a little on the high side when we ordered, were delighted with what we saw. No ordinary burger here. A gourmet burger cooked to perfection, towering with onion rings, real cheese (no sign of a plastic cheese slice). The chips were amazing! Looked like twice cooked - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The presentation was faultless (although I prefer a plate to a chopping board but that's just me. I was told I could ask for a plate and that wouldn't be a problem next time). Not only was the food delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the lady, who is probably the owner, couldn't do enough for us. Good choice of wine and prices to match in a pleasant setting. The roast dinner itself could be better with a selection a green vegetables and serving sauces that are not in sachets. The re-refurbishment looks good and impressive and the ice cream making machine for the kids a great idea. The setting was nice, however would recommend a table away from the bar if accompanied by children, as some of the back ground language was rather colorful! We went to the pub tonight and was greatly surprised at the food, it was amazing & decently priced, great range of wines, Beers, Ales, Ciders & of course soft drinks available. The Plough Burger is recommended, 8oz aberdeen angus beef burger with bacon, cheese and homemade chips & beer battered onion rings... It was fantastic! Food Served every day up until 9pm on weekdays... Lots of homemade foodSuitable for everyone including family's with children as it has a play area too.

What a fantastic find. The Plough and Harrow is everything you wish for in a local pub with food. The chef cooks lovely homemade dishes which are very tasty and the prices are reasonable too. We have been several times now and are waiting our chance to go for a Sunday roast. Always a very friendly welcome from staff and they can't do enough to help. Cheers !

Only live round the corner so have used this place many times. The recent refurb is great and is matched by the new owners. Service has been great everytime we've visited.Bouncy castle outside is also a great move. Lots of outside seating too.Having eaten here a few times now, I'd say the menu consists of good solid pub grub classics. They've always been well executed too. Only faults we could pick were the lack of any greens with a roast dinner and also no side salad with the otherwise really tasty and hearty Plough burger.Kids meals are reasonably priced and it was great to see they included 'proper' sausages rather than the nondescript pink things served in so many other places. Kids loved them.Keep up the good work as it's great having a place like this just around the corner!

Recently refurbed this pub is perfect. busy but not uncomfortably packed - really warm and friendly place. Could quite easily spend all evening here.

Having lived in Whitnash for 30 years and seen this pub change hands over and over again it was so lovely to go this evening and really enjoy it. In the past I have tried it several times as its a ten min walk from where I live and each time I have said never again as its been really average or below. However this time after its latest refit it was a lovely experience. Menu is just classic pub grub well executed and reasonably priced. The place has been beautifully re fitted, welcoming wood burner, comfy chairs and an open airy feel but with cosy areas as well, staff were lovely and helpful. We had burgers and chips which was a juicy Aberdeen Angus beef with fresh salad but were sadly too full to enjoy a pudding as it was a generous portion.Look forward to going again in the future and I've never said that before about this place, well done :-).

The best Indian in the area has moved from the Joey to the Granny and the food is better than ever! Eating outside, with a fresh pint and sun shining 👍

We often drink at the Rose and Crown but had never taken family there before, including a 2 year old! From the moment that the staff sorted seating out for us, the customer service was exceptional. Quick and friendly service, and the staff could not have been more helpful in helping to keep the 2 year old amused, particularly the kind man who brought smarties to the table for her (I didn't take his name, but he had his own 2 year old I believe!). The atmosphere was very welcoming, and our family were thoroughly impressed. The Guinness was very good too (appreciated by my Irish Brother-in-Law!!)

Some what disappointed in this visit,I was served a lager shandy which did not taste right, when I passed it back to the women behind the bar I was told they were having problems with water supply,so why serve this in the first place,I asked for pint of coke was given a very warm glass of 2 bottles of coke, and the way she spoke to me was not exactly great,Now the food mash potatoes sorry I don't believe that is homemade,it was like it have come from a packet and microwave, the link sausage was cooked on one side but looked raw on the other, freind had fishcake and chips 2 fishcakes and some chips, there were 4 of us we all had different things all in all not bad but not grate,2 of us had apple crumble and custard both came out Luke warm, the apple what apple it was a apple puray bitter and runny not nice.sorry but that's how it was been before and it was lovely but 6 out of 10 this time.younger staff were polite,we also had the older lady one from the bar just lean over take the plates with out asking quite rude, must have been having a bad night it was very busy but not an excuse.
