The White Horse in Warwick

Had a lovely lunch today with my in laws and extended family. The meat wasn’t quite up to the usual standard but Cameron very quickly replaced without fuss for something delicious and made sure we were happy. Would absolutely recommend the White Horse to anyone looking for a great pub which does great food and has a lovely atmosphere!

The prawn and crab linguine was delicious and only 647 cals! Great that the calories are included on menu for those of us on a constant diet!!

Good atmosphere, great food, watched the rugby here, decent sized television and an uninterrupted view, great atmosphere

Came in for a roast dinner and it was absolutely lovely! Brilliant service from the whole team, but especially Ellie and Chef Adam cooked the beef to perfection! Will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone!

Don’t think I have been to another pub since I have started coming here. What an incredible place and what a great team you guys have here and an asset to the business!

Jack was a hero amongst men, Ellie was incredibly helpful and I left the pub happier and with a better outlook on life

Decent pub. Quick and friendly service, good atmosphere, plenty of seating, tv's for sport, clean toilets. May upgrade to 5 stars after I've tried the food.

It's a lovely pub, always has been popular . I was shocked though that a glass of wine cost £10.10 that was for a large even so I thought that was a lot .. 😳

Was a particularly busy night with long waits at the bar. But a cracking atmosphere. Drinks felt a little pricey, but not enough to be a problem. Nice bar staff and a good smoking area.

My wife and her disabled friend were well looked after by Ben, Jack, Alex &James - receiving exceptional care, service & food - they were both made to feel very special and truly 'festive' - Bravo to all!

Staff are rude and don’t care one bit. Even when you ask politely for a glass of water when closing…

My partner loved her burger meal - very good, the fish n chips a bit of a let down, could of done being cooked a little longer. Mushy peas where normal garden peas mashed down - tasted bland.

Booked The White Horse for a 40th birthday party. It was perfect from start to finish. It's our favourite pub in Leamington, so it just made sense to book the party there. Thank you to Jo and team for looking after us!

Very good all round service. Food very quick, piping hot and very tasty. I had the vegan burger (in not a veggie, it just sounded nice) it was very tasty indeed. My wife had advacado salad and son a beef burger all great

Came in with two friends, from start to end service was 10/10, was served by Levi and Ellie they were both so helpful and very attentive. We had good and drinks two roasts and a chicken and bacon burger 🍔 everything so so nice I believe the chefs names were Tom, adam and Ben… will 100% be back. Well done guys

Came in today for a Sunday Roast with some friends and had the best time! Alex and Abbi were so welcoming and helpful, the food was delicious, and the garden was so pretty. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a classic roast and will definitely be back again!

Came in on Wednesday and had the cheese and bacon burger, it was really good and the burger was juicy and not dried out like most places , I got told they had a new chef started that day called Dan

Have always rated The White Horse, staff members friendly and helpful. Food and drink pretty good. However, after todays visit, was disappointed at the price increase, which effectively means we shall no longer be able to drink there. 😒

Good pub with lots of areas that means you can find a zone that's good for you. Food was a reasonable selection and quickly brought to our table and managed well despite different people ordering at different times.

Our go to pub in Leamington. Great friendly environment and helpful staff. The drinks selection is good and the food is absolutely spot on. If you ever have a chance to experience this wonderful pub, make sure you give Horace (the horse) a friendly pat!

NOTE: I have no clue how the original 4-star review appeared here, and got a response from The White Horse, as I didn't post it. With that in mind, I'm entering a fuller review and showing the detail of the rating. I'm rounding up the fraction rather than down --- 7 out of 15 = 3 stars. VISITED: With a large group on a Saturday night. FOOD/SERVICE: We ordered a sour dough bread starter and then I had the "Pan-Fried Hake & Gunpowder Potatoes, with spinach, bouillabaisse sauce, lilliput capers" (per the menu). The bread starter was OK, but when we finished it were told that the mains hadn't been started - waiting for us to finish the appretizer. The hake was fine - a fat and flaky piece of fish - but the gunpowder potatoes weren't great. I wouldn't say that they were raw, but they certainly seemed undercooked. The whole meal sat heavy in my stomach well into the morning of the following day. The service was OK. We were asked if the bread was alright, but no one checked in on the mains. My wife, with an anaphylatic allergy, found the coleslaw she ordered contained something she couldn't safely eat after it arrived and had scattered it on her salad. We always have to go through the process of checking for allergins at every eatery we visit, so that was disappointing, and thankfully avoided. ATMOSPHERE: Really damned noisy. Yes, it was a Saturday, but the place is cramped, loud, has both piped and live music (we left before the live music started) and I struggled to have conversations with someone I was sat next to in a corner. The place was well lit, clean, secured with door staff, and was otherwise OK, but it isn't somewhere I would choose to go personally --- this was a pre-organised event.

Staying in Leam for a few days and keen to watch the football - The White Horse had it showing on every screen, with plenty of nooks and crannies to sit and enjoy it. The knowledgeable staff (James) not only poured a great pint of Guinness, but talked me through the entire menu, personally recommending his favourites which helped with my choice. Thank you.

The white horse is lovely to go too atmosphere is amazing staff there is lovely there is one in particular on Friday called Cameron exceptional service also food was 10/10 especially on a Sunday. Will be my local from now on every week.

OK, good selection of real ales but never eat here as the menu is so bizarre. Please provide a typical British pub menu.

Jack really made the difference, I wasn't sure about the allergens but he made it really clear. Had a lovely fillet of hake that I don't even think was on the menu. Thanks Jack.

We met with our friends for some drinks last week, everything was perfect. It was my wife’s birthday, special thanks to Lewis who helped us to get a small cake with a candle on it! We will definitely visit again. Thanks Lewis!

The food was awesome here. I had a stunning juicy burger and my wife had the steak and ale pie. Both were delicious. The staff were very friendly indeed. Was a very nice pub.

Went there for a 70th birthday celebration meal, was a bit frenetic as the man city, Chelsea game was on, and music was playing in the background which is usual for a Saturday night, but not mine or my partners cup of tea, but apart from that the service and meal were very good, would good again, but on a quieter night.

Food is good, ambience was ok as the heaters outside weren't working properly

Myself and my work teammates have been here on a number of Work night outs - most recently we were here on a Monday for a quiz night. The atmosphere is always great, they have a well executed menu and great choice of drinks. We only wished they had put the quiz night on a Thursday or further along in the week to better accommodate Us because we had work the rest of the week... The quiz night was fun and although it's on a Monday, it was well worth the effort to go.

I had a very nice time having dinner and drinks. the lamb rump special was something i would come back for every week. The staff were all very friendly including the manager who gave me a great reccomendation on an IPA

I recently visited The White Horse to watch the last game of the 2024 Six Nations with a couple of friends. Despite England losing we had a great evening at the pub! Excellent food, friendly service and a good selection of beers available. Will be back again soon!

Probably the worst pub to eat in town. Very poor food, lazily served in scruffy premises with dirty furnishings. Not a joyful experience !

Late on a Saturday afternoon, they have free old-school video games. Lots of board games, decent beers and nice food.

Went to White horse to watch the England v Wales rugby match the atmospher was good and we had a good view of the TV.

Consistently had great pub food here over the years. Unpretentious and accommodating of little sprogs. Good beer on tap. A fave spot for us on a lazy Sunday.

Had lunch with my father yesterday. Food is not just excellent quality but good value. We use the place regularly and have always been impressed with the service. Highly recommended
