Meal with friends. Starters and popadoms were fine but the main courses were either napalm hot or bland and tasteless. My wife had a chicken and mushroom balti - she ate about 3 mouthfuls and yoghurt wouldn't tame it. My biriani was greasy and tasteless. Even the accompanying vegetable curry was tasteless. Given the quality of other local Indian restaurants, this won't be a re-visit any time soon.

Ordered 3 hours in advance yet was still 30 minutes late and cold chicken in the value box was as salty as the ocean, hot wings were as spicy as a custard cream, chicken strips were practically Gandhi's flip flop only good thing was it's cheap and the can of tropical rio

We went for a Mother’s Day meal , after hearing a few good things about this restaurant we decided to give it a go! Service wasn’t the best at all , my daughter was stood next to the window and the man who was serving ( only guy with a beard serving) complained to my child instead of asking us for her to go sit down , found this very unprofessional and he was quite rude, as my 5 year old daughter got embarrassed and started crying. The food wasn’t great, the popadoms and naan bread was the only part of the food we enjoyed . The curry tasted more like a pasta sauce than a curry dish! The food lets the place down and the restaurant looks very nice but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Been several times previously and always decent for a quick lunch with family. Visited today and ordered three meals before taking a table. While paying for the meal (when ordering at the counter) the lady taking payment advised that you can select an option on the card machine - this with set gratuity (tip) payments starting at 10%, 20% and so on (increasing). This before food was served. I found this just wrong and will deter me visiting again. More than happy to leave a gratuity (tip) but always after the eating experience is completed - the food was fine but I am never going to reward people until the reward has been earned. I really find something as simple as this will defer me visiting in the future. This is clearly a business practice that I find just wrong.

Dropped in on a Sunday evening, on spec. We were welcomed warmly, and taken into the main dining room, which was filled with a large party of young families - the children were pretty well behaved (well done to the parents) but there was louder than average noise and kerfuffle. There were tables available in the quieter dining area...... The menu looked very enticing, with many classic Italian dishes. We eventually plumped for bruschetta alla Romana and linguine alla marinara. Both dishes were tasty and well prepared, although it was odd to have prawn heads in the linguine which had not had a relationship with the (frozen) prawns that lay with them! It would have been nice to have had some recognisable calamari as well. However, the sauce was very good and the dish tasted good too. And then to dessert - the millefoglie was not as described, and more closely resembled a custard slice than a traditional Italian millefoglie. It was pleasant enough, however. The Italian cheeseboard, which promised gorgonzola, pecorino, parmesan and cheddar delivered stilton, red Leicester, Wensleydale and cranberry and Wensleydale and apricot. There was a mountain of rocket in the middle, a plethora of cheese biscuits, and a pot of carelessly splatted margerine. No crostini. No coulis. Trades description issues, methinks. Lovely cherry cocktail and a lovely glass of pinot grigio. Lovely young staff, all of whom could do with a bit of training, just to help them for the future. This could be a seriously good restaurant, but the owners need to look at how they train and manage their staff and to what extent the chef can deliver the dishes that are on the menu if the restaurant is going to reach a higher level. Would we come back - yes, because we can see some potential here.

Visited this after for desserts, we purchased 4 pieces of cookie pie. Along with other items. Not cheap, Which is absolutely fine if you are getting something of good standard. Absolutely dry as a bone, the edges were very hard. I was told that the ‘fridges must be the issue’ A very similar review back in March with the same explanation. I did message directly in the first instant,I got an apology but also a lot of rudeness. I was also told ‘I can’t believe you are looking at other reviews’ I didn’t eat on site so couldn’t address this at the time.

I would highly recommend Charlie Bassett pub and camp site . Stayed there over the weekend , easy to find . Kevin was very helpful on our arrival and very friendly . Lovely quite spot down the bottom . Toilets and shower block are clean and showers were amazing . Went to the pub for some food and my grandson had a play on the park. The food did take a while to come out but not surprising for how busy it was . Over all I can say we were very happy with our stay and will defiantly be back, maybe with just my partner next time so I can spend a bit longer in the pub 😁 Also if your into walking we found a lovely walk to do before heading home

One of the best Indian food I have tried around Stoke-on-Trent. Staff were super friendly and attentive, even chef came out and greeted us, made sure we liked the food, place is also warm in winter time which also helps and most importantly food was absolutely delicious, salmon curry was to die for and also rika masala, I would highly reclined this place.

We recently dined at Coast, and it was an experience to remember! Nestled right by the sea, this restaurant offers breathtaking views that set the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting, with a warm and friendly vibe that made us feel right at home. The service was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, and our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, providing great recommendations. We started with the charcuterie and vegetarian mezze, both bursting with flavour. For our mains, the perfectly cooked sea bass and refreshing super green salad were fantastic, and we finished with the delightful summer strawberry tart and decadent chocolate brownie for dessert. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious, making our dining experience truly special. Overall, Coast exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of stunning views, excellent service, and outstanding food makes it a must-visit. We can’t wait to return for another delightful meal!

I can never fault this place. Very polite staff, freshly made food for the naughty nights when the diet goes out of the window. We go go every week, and it's always been fast, fresh, tasty and warm. I'd missed the chips off my order, and because we are regulars the manager sent them for free. Honestly, they are amazing, we never use anywhere else. Currys, kebabs, etc, all great value. Thank you Hamza's.

This was the nearest pub to our campsite so seemed a good choice for us to have Sunday lunch. The first thing that hits you is the old/stale smell as you walk in. Yes, it’s obviously a very old pub, its layout and decor is very 70s. When we arrived the lady on duty was very friendly and welcoming. We got drinks and had a look at the menu which didn’t inspire. Plus we felt the prices were quite high so we moved on! Shame really, this place needs to move with the times!
