Ordered take a way food to be collected. Chicken Tikka Rogan Josh, Kashmiri chicken, vegetable pilau rice and garlic nan bread. Was ready in 20 minutes. Food was delicious and very hot. Staff were very welcoming and professional. Thank you for a lovely evening meal

I would love this place, as my local, to be the best Indian in the area, and sometimes the curries are lovely. Other times they are bland, as thought they're mostly the base gravy with not much spices added. Needs consistency and rush flavours in all dishes 👌

One Curry was fine but the other came with prawns which I didn’t order and actually hate hence had to bin it,on a serious note this could have played out very seriously with someone who’s allergic to Seafood.So One star I’m afraid.

Took a chance on a this place as our other curry house was disappointing and Oh. My. Word. WHAT AN AMAZING MEAL! Super fragrant, tender and such a depth of flavour. Absolutely delicious and can't wait to come back. Thank you

Terrible experience, ordered a take out at 19.10 for collection, arrived at 19.30 to collect, gave my name and sat waiting for 10 mins, all OK. This is the interesting bit. Serving girl came out, gave me the wrong order, I left unaware got to my car looked in bag, realised, took it back in the restaurant. The woman who's order it actually was was sitting waiting. The owner took it off me and just gave it to her, she went mad and wanted it recooking fresh, this upset the restaurant owner. My order never came out, so I ended up sitting there until 20.10 pm despite asking several times. What a real, embarrassing, unprofessional situation to be put myself and other customers in. Got home, nothing free of course to make up for it like a couple of poppadoms or something, tasted the food I got it was such an average, quickly thrown together rubbishy curry, no taste or flavour. I have been here 3 times since it changed hands from Roshni, and 3 times I have had a similar experience. So to the management, there are many restaurant's in this area far better, you get one chance to impress, you got three. I will never use you again and I recommend other people reading this think twice or look elsewhere. Go to Mughal or Blue Tiffin, don't waste your money.

Marvellous evening at Indian Ocean restaurant for four adult friends. Having changed hands and name since last visit, we were slightly apprehensive but that was dismissed as soon as we walked in. Fresh, modern, stylish decor, attentive staff and great food and wine made it an evening to remember. Will definitely return.

Lovely restaurant. Had takeaway which was piping hot, even when we got home 10 mins away. Food was delicious. Service was quick and efficient, restaurant spotlessly clean. Atmoshphere and decoration was lovely so will be coming back to eat in the restaurant as well as takeaway.

This is truly the best Indian Restaurant around. The food, the Staff and the atmosphere all come together to give this restaurant a well deserved 5 star rating from me and all my family. We have visited the restaurant many many times over the 20 years we have lived local, and when it was formerly known as th Roshni and have never had a bad meal, no matter what size of the party etc. but now it has been taken over and rebranded as the Indian Ocean it has stepped up its ratings in our eyes. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are attentive and really do make you feel welcome and at home. My in-laws not big fans of anything outside a Sunday roast absolutely love the IO, to the point were we have now visit the restaurant twice in three weeks!!! It is truly amazing and deserves the highest rating possible!!! Please bare in mind you will need to book as so you are not disappointed.

Must be the best Indian restaurant in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Unbelievable choice of dishes on the menu, with the food exceptional in taste and presentation. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to all family and friends.

Our first visit her and I have to say it was excellent! One of the best Indian’s we have had and definitely the best in the area. The food was delicious, plentiful and the naan breads were just perfect. With a few drinks each it was around £30 a head including starters and that price was represented in the quality of the food. Staff were lovely and friendly and the restaurant itself was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. Our new go to Indian restaurant. Thank you.

Food was splendid, I enjoy hot and spicy food and after the waiter made his recommendation I was thrilled with the choice! Ambience of the blue lighting and perfectly laundered white table cloth, with mirrored surroundings it was the perfect place for a romantic meal. Staff were very friendly and the finishing touch was being offered an after eight mint!.....one of my favourites, I can see this being a regular place that I will visit so a big thank you to all the lovely staff there. 👍

Massive choice and plenty of different dishes to try, reasonably priced and good tasty food. We were a little cramped up a corner next to the constant air freshener but apart from that it was clean and tidy. They have a bar with standard draft beers, wine and bottled beers, along with the usual soft drinks.

Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We went for a birthday meal celebration on a Tuesday evening, it was very quiet in there (understandably) but it didn't spoil anything. We are local and will definitely go again. I've heard some other locals saying it is expensive but I don't think so at all, especially for the quality of food. £10 for your average curry (£11.50 for my special tandoori chicken murgi masala), £2-4 for your rices, can't remember naan bread prices sorry (but they were lovely and soft! Small coke £2, fruit juices £2, pints £4-5, wine similar. Pints of beer tend to be pricey in Indians anyway. You can't take your own booze. We all had a different curry, portion size is just right (not massive and not tiny) and flavours were lovely. Can't wait to go back. Table layout is better than it used to be and I can imagine a great buzz at weekends. Staff were attentive and friendly, especially with my children. They had half portion of curry between them for £6. Support Local and keep this business going!

Just had a ‘collection’ take out ( 1830hrs, Saturday 26 March )from Indian Ocean. Very very nice…….Had two Balti’s one mixed, one chicken as we were playing safe……Very pleasant and polite staff on the pick up. Definitely use them again.

Don't bother, eaten here loads of times in the past, food was excellent and bring your own booze (not a problem) Tried to book a table for tomorrow, not licensed and cannot bring your own booze anymore, won't be visiting again.

Very disappointing, come back Sam and Ali (if anyone knows where they are, please shout out). Definitely not the Roshni standard. Perhaps they should advertise the fact that it is under new management. No alcohol is served in the restaurant and you cannot take your own anymore, we had a takeaway and it was obvious that the meat had been previously cooked, or overcooked, whichever, it was very disappointing.

Not sure if it has changed hands. Not very friendly. When we booked they said that they were not licensed any more. So we took our own but were told we could not drink it. No children's menu but chicken nuggets were on the menu at £8:50 each. We had two children with us. There was nobody in. Will it return.

Delivery took forever… normally absolutely brilliant food… food Luke warm, starter with no salad or mint yoghurt .. apparently we should of had popadoms and chutneys which is why we didn’t have any salad?? Really we had no popadoms either!!!! So disappointed normally brilliant food …..

Really good takeaway curry ordered from here last night. Definitely recommend. Sag Paneer was a divider. I really enjoyed the roast garlic taste whereas two others didn't. Best dish we had was the lamb Nepali, starts off sweet with a nice hot kick to it. All other dishes thoroughly enjoyed.

Went here for meal last night Saturday and it must have changed hands no alcohol allowed so can’t even take your own drink in . I did not no this as last time I use to go here was back in 2014 when it was licences. All can say is won’t ever be going back again place was cold in side no heating on the starter was ok but the mains were horrible had keema Nan no meat in it £3.50 for frozen chips mushroom rice you need one each not one between you this place just gone to the dogs witch is Shame really as use to love coming here am giving it 2 star only reason for that is that the starter was ok .

Just had a takeaway from Roshni, have used many in the past and one in particular for 20 years. The meal was superb, incredible fusion of flavours. Best takeaway ever and attention to detail in view of social distancing and safety was paramount. Fabulous experience xx

Cant recomend this resteraunt enough......a very cold night...the resteraunt was warm as was the welcome, the staff were lovely. The food was piping hot, ( I really dislike Luke warm food!) But both the starter and the main course were fabulous , without a doubt one of the BEST currys we've had for a long time ..definately returning soon .
