High Lane Oatcakes in Stoke-on-Trent

Just purchased £12 of filled Oatcakes when I order a sausage and cheese I expect it to include a sausage not sliced dried up bits on a dried up oatcake went in the bin

Allwats been the best oatcake shop going, just recently though u can see changes, the staff are youna in not the best wit customer service, its gone cashless so unless u pay by card u can't order food and they don't do Tinned tomatoes. I can honestly say I've never been to an oatcake shop that didn't sell proper Tinned Tommy's, my only other comment is the cheese, I love cheese and usually fhe mire cheese the better BUT their cheese doesn't melt properly ad they put too much on and it has the strangest texture in your mouth next time we go I will asking for a cheese less option

Oatcakes were burnt black. Threw them straight into the bin

Food wasn’t cooked, sausage was anaemic. Put actual sliced tomatoes on an oatcake instead on tinned.

all oatcakes had a black oily residue on them and tasted horrible normally grate food but verry poor today!!

Soggy, microwaved, overpriced oatcakes, disgusting, worst ever

The finest oatcakes in Staffordshire. These are made without milk, so my ageing mother who is lactose intolerant can eat them no problem. They're also light in nature and not at all rubbery.

Unfortunately had to give one star , the oatcakes are lovely, however I came on a few occasions and I had recieved 5 in my 6 pack of oatcakes purchased, this happened 3 times where I was purchasing a few packs at a time and only received 5 in them, so had to stop going . I aren’t sure wether there is a manager telling the staff to only put 5 in to help with food cost deviations or unfortunate miscounting. Have been using foleys oatcakes since because they come as advertised

Once again, my online order was delivered correctly and on time. So happy that i can order genuine Staffordshire oatcakes and pikelets straight to my home in Worcestershire. As a Stokie I'm very happy with my order packed so well by Magdalena who asked me how I eat my oatcakes.....usually with Cheshire cheese bubbling under the grill. Love them with bacon and egg. Quite a traditional way, certainly NOT as a dessert.

I alway buy my oatcakes from here, I think that they are the best. The postal service is excellent, only takes 2 days after ordering them to arrive. We have our oatcakes with with cheese and mushrooms/bacon. We are going to explore having them with other fillings.

Completely burnt yet still turned up freezing cold. Ordered doubles which came just as singles and put salad tomatoes on when tinned tomatoes are as described - not happy won’t be buying again

Unfortunately like a lot of food outlets High Lane has joined the trend and started to cut the sausages into small pieces 😪 . So u get bits of sausage and cheese instead of a full sausage and cheese oatcake. Very nice but not the same.

These are a first class quality oatcake , just to my taste.Other brands I find are often too heavy. SinceI I no longer live in North Staffs I do on occasions need to buy them online and to get such a suburb product with free postage is a real bonus

Cheese was very slimey. Tomatoes are advertised as chopped tinned tomatoes on the photographs but was actually fresh tomatoes. Not impressed.

Poor !!! Sloppy oatcakes - barely any cheese on them, watery red sauce. No quality bacon or sausage used and both telephone and delivery staff were unpleasant. Bad experience with them overall and will no re-use nor recommend!!!

These are the best oatcakes and really good online service. Stoke comes to Essex and I can have a happy Easter. Pikelets too!

Ordered food at 10.02am, no driver was available until 10.36 after an estimated delivery time of 10.34am Food was then delivered at 11.03am!

When I ordered double oatcakes the picture showed them folded separately. This is what I expected to arrive but instead the filling is sandwiched between the two oatcakes. False advertising imo and won’t be ordering again and you need to be more clear in your descriptions and with your pictures.

Gone cashless.BEWARE!!. Really bad idea, I only had cash and they were quite obnoxious over it. Thankfully a gentleman of great character offered to pay with his card if I gave him the cash. That is the people of burslem, descent and willing to help. I will never go to that oatcake shop again.

Bacon rock hard horrible no flavour cheese has the consistency of undercooked soggy doe Ordered bacon cheese tomato. Only comes with salad tomato and not tinned just the worst in stoke by far oh and cheap sauce

High Lane oatcakes are definitely a true Staffordshire oatcake. Nor as puddingy as Poveys. Just as l remember them as a kid over 60 years ago.

Delicious oatcakes delivered to my door. Now I live in North Manchester, oatcakes are impossible to come by. This mail order service has changed this! Fresh, well priced and super quick delivery - thank you!

favourite place to get food when i have time, staff are very friendly and always say hi.

Driver left food on my doorstep in 2 inches of snow. This is the second time this has happened. Drivers and outlets need to be educated. Thoroughly disgusted with the service and drivers need sacking.

Order was shown as delivered, but no food arrived, the response from Just Eat has been very disappointing. I have contacted 3 times to find out what happened, no reply from any messages sent. This is not acceptable

The staff were extremely pleasant. My problem here lays entirely on the oatcakes themselves. The oatcakes were sloppy. You couldn't hold them together. The cheese was of the cheapest quality and the ketchup was watery. It was like ketchup you would find at a fairground. I would not go there again.

The delivery was late through no fault of the delivery driver. He apologised, and the food was not affected. I heated up the coffee in the microwave, so no problem at all.

Food was delivered very late and also cold upon receiving. Apparently this was due to no driver being available- still very disappointed. Food was still nice just a shame it was cold !
