The best restaurants in Himley and Swindon South Staffordshire West Midlands

Had brunch with a lovely friend who suggested this venue. Great place for a catch up brunch and my friend was able to bring her adorable dog into the venue. Service was great, very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are yummy. One star deducted as I found it slightly cool inside (I was there during a bad cold snap period to be fair). Would go again.

Splendid food, cosy atmosphere and excellent service.

It’s in a lovely place next to the canal with decent parking. The food was lovely and they bought out the kids meals with the starters without having to be asked which was nice. However. The first high chair we were given had mould on it and mouldy food in it (peas and carrots). I asked for another one which was still filthy but at least it didn’t have mould so I gave it a scrub with Milton wipes and they turned brown. He was only sat in it while we ate our food and no food was given to him in the chair for those reasons. The straps were so sticky, the seat was the same. The yellow high chair has mould on the seat so who knows how long the vegetables were sat there going mouldy. God only knows when the high chairs were last cleaned but you can’t afford to take that risk with a baby’s health. I understand it’s probably not the most family friendly restaurant, but those high chairs were a genuine health hazard. The food was nice but I hope where they were prepared was a lot cleaner than the first impressions that I was given. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Lovely old fashion pub, with a log fire, staff Lovely, pork sandwiches were amazing.

Was under construction so not the nicest looking pub only had a drink however the carvery did look amazing and seemed popular

Nice little pub, excellent san Miguel,dog friendly,and good service. Not eaten there but cobs and sausage rolls are good. We visit regularly.

Chips were nice, I believe they are cooked in beef dripping, they taste just like the chips at the Black Country Living Museum.

Great place, easy access and good food.

We have once again enjoyed a sumptuous Christmas Day lunch here. A glass of Prossecco upon arrival, salmon and prawns to start, followed by a lovely turkey dinner with all the trimmings, I had the Christmas pudding and my husband had the cheese selection to finish. We will be returning next year

Nice coffee and a lovely homade mince pie after an organised walk. 😀 Good cakes too bread pudding portion is massive 👍 It has been refurbished inside and on a sunny day you can sit outside. Staff are lovely.😊

Saturday 8th July. Had planned a trip especially from north wales. Always been on my bucket list. Checked website and Facebook page. Sorry to hear about the break in. Information stated should be open again 6th or 7th July. Tried to phone before visit to check if open. No answer. Should've been open 8th but no updates or information. Arrived at 12:15. Five cars parked by locked gate. Nobody knew What was happening. Walked down the lane. Fantastic house. Unfortunatly we had a wasted trip. Blackboard outside 'closed until further notice' people arriving after us who we informed they were closed. Had we known we wouldn't have wasted a journey.

The place is amazing such an amazing location for weddings parties etc . We enjoyed every minute of our visit up from hythe Kent . The landlord is such a gent what more can I say just a must visit for everyone

Needed to stay somewhere in an emergency due to house flooding. Boy was it an eye opener. The whole place need refurbishment and security is a joke. Windows don't lock unable to lock door from inside. Shower control hanging out the wall. Shower tray had gaps all around it would have allowed water onto floor below if used. Everywhere was dirty and facilities were not available. Avoid at all costs no matter how desperate you are for somewhere to stop.
