Lovely food and service . Holly was our waitress who looked after us all evening. She was polite and friendly and made our experience pleasurable.

We stayed for two nights and from checking in the service was fantastic, the food was fantastic I would like to thank Andy and his team, Rachel, Kara, Cassie, Leo, Ash you made our stay, also the rooms were fantastic very clean and we will definitely be back, so thank you all. Ed & Anita Horsfield

Reopened on Monday this week. We visited on the Friday teatime. We were greeted and taken to our table by a lovely young lady called Hannah. There were a few teething issues. It took a while for someone to come and take our drinks order. My pie was warm but not hot so I told Hannah who took the meal back to the kitchen. I said I was just happy with a new pie but they replaced the whole meal. When it returned it was piping hot and the Steak and Ale pie was delicious. My partner had the cheese burger with French fries and onion rings. The portion of French fries was small and the onion rings were like a basic frozen supermarket brand. For the price and the Himley house decor we expected more. It was comparable to a Wetherspoon meal.

The new decor and beer garden is lovely, but our visit was completely made by the outstanding service we received from Sarah. She was absolutely amazing and made sure that she kept us up to date on how long our drinks/food would be. Although the restaurant was busy, nothing was too much trouble for Sarah. She is a credit to the restaurant!

18 months ago i stopped going here because of the poor service in the restaurant. last night following an extensive renovation and re-opening three of us went following booking on line for a 5.45 table. it took 1 and a half hours to get our food. having complained politely i was told the kitchen had a backlog, the same excuse used regularly 18 months ago. Not surprisingly other tables came ordered had their meals and left before we got ours. The staff were struggling to excuse the delay and of course the manager did the usual difficult time disappearing act. Green King have spent a fortune on this Hotel, Pity then that they did not resolve the issues in the Kitchen. We wont be going again and i would advise others to be aware of the poor service.

Despite having pre-booked a table for two to celebrate our wedding anniversary, it took 20 minutes standing in a queue to be seated. When someone finally arrived to take our drinks order almost 30 minutes afterwards, we enquired how long the wait was for food. On being told it would be over an hour, we opted to leave and went elsewhere.

The surroundings and interior are very welcoming. The food was excellent and really lovely staff, sadly not enough of them to give an efficient service waiting at the bar for 10 minutes to get a drink isn't pleasant and only 2 tills. I would definitely recommend and go again hopefully they will employ more staff .

Visited for lunch, very impressed with the refurbishment. Everything looks brand new and the forest green and oak colour scheme throughout is beautiful, including the Ladies toilets. Staff were very attentive, including Tarnya who served us. Food was well presented and tasty. Looking around, there has been much thought and attention to detail given in the refurbishment, with new furnishings and decor. I hope visitors respect this. All in all an extremely pleasant experience.

First time back at the newly refurbished Himley House. Food was excellent, especially the fish and chips. Our waitress, Tarnya, was as bubbly and friendly as ever. She clearly enjoys her job and it conveys to the customers, a real gem.

Visited for the first time since the refurbishment. Beautifully decorated, especially the garden area, which is partially undercover with outdoor heaters. Food was excellent, highly recommend the sharing boards. Our waitress was Tarnya and she was very attentive. We will definitely return on a regular basis.

Went to visit for drinks to check out new refurbishment and menus for a future visit . Beautifully decorated with comfortable areas. Lovely ambience . Staff attentive and friendly. Great choice of lagers , Peroni , Estrella Galicia, Birra Moretti and Madri. Lots of choice on menu . Will definitely return very soon .

Went here on 20th April with my 3 grown up kids, the food was fantastic and service was great, Cassie did a brilliant job making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit, definitely going back! The wild mushroom starter is a must!!👀

We had an overnight stay in the newly refurbished and renovated Himley House. The decor and furnishings are absolutely stunning and well thought out with many thoughtful touches and hints to the local history of this well known listed building. The hotel rooms feel very luxurious with lots of little additions that made the stay that little bit more inviting. The food was absolutely delicious; presented beautifully and piping hot. The staff worked really hard and were very attentive. We can’t wait to go again and try more of the dishes on the menu!

After a couple of disappointing visits we stopped going to the Himley, but now found it hugely improved. Staff were helpful and attentive. Service was prompt, without being rushed, and all our party commented on the quality of their meals.

Great food and service. The meal was reasonably priced and was hot and fresh when it arrived at the table. Glad to say they've improved considerably and we'll definitely be eating there again and again.

Visited on a Tuesday evening, had a really lovely night. The restaurant has greatly improved since last time I visited. We were treated with warmth and attention. The Pinot Grigio was spot on. Cosy and warm atmosphere, a pleasure to sit and chat. I ate the Garlic Mushrooms and Mushroom & Ale Pie, with vegetables that were beautifully cooked. Staff were welcoming, friendly and very attentive. Everything I ate was delicious and my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our night. Well done to everyone at Himley House, it was a great experience.

We've been coming here for years and the foods generally been okay. But last night a group of us went, the place was almost empty, the food was very poor. The seafood grill was burnt and had salmon, seabass and prawns, the prawns were missing, and when the turned up they were just regular prawns heated up in microwave, they'd never seen a grill. The chicken dish we had was awful, it looked like it had been massacred. The only saving grace was the waitress who was lovely, shame she didn't cook the food o imagine it would have been better.

Lovely service and excellent food. We made up our own starters with halloumi and cheesy chibata. Mains were the Sea Bass and Seafood Grill. Very tasty and satisfying. Had a bottle of Prosecco which was really nice and priced reasonably. Have had issues previously with Rump Steak but tonight there are no problems and will be back soon

Very pleasant lunch, great service from Tarnya our waitress who was attentive and made us feel welcome. Lovely table by the window and great selection on menu with weekly specials. Lobster risotto was our choice for the main, which was different albeit quite a light meal so you may want a pudding to finish with. Haven't been here for a long time due go every time we went, there was nothing left, especially Sundays, so today we were welcomed by lovely staff, all food available on the menu, great service and the food was gorgeous, loads on the plate and cooked really well, the management is new and great, reasonably priced enjoyable food, will be going again, and maybe for breakfast too.

Returned to this restaurant after a few months away, as previously our food on the last visit on an evening was not up to scratch.
