The place has lovely decor and was clean, staff looked smart. And we're efficient, until it came to paying the bill, we were left whilst they served other people, and had to ask. We order food which arrived in a timely manner, I ordered the pan fried chicken, which was a tiny potion, the chicken was abit dry, and the sauce didn't have enough body for my taste. Would have been nice served with tender stems broccoli ( dish needed some veg) I order a biscoff sundae desert which arrived but cream was of room temperature and ice cream already melting & way to much sauce. So over all I felt let down, the prices are high for what I received, my expectations were higher because of the price. The menu has a smaller collection of meals, I personally wouldnt return for food. I don't drink but was shocked my friends large glass of wine was £10.50. the restaurant was busy, and we had a seated area that was quite private, so that was nice.

Emily was a lovely sweet waitress who was attentive and chatty. She was a delight to have as our person of service. The lamb kofta starter and cauliflower wings were divine. The ambience inside the restaurant was lovely and cosy and the place was very clean and modern. Thank you to the chef for cooking us up a treat

The atmosphere was great, staff were very friendly. I ordered the hummus sandwich which arrived a little on the small side so only feedback would be to make this a little bigger.

Your food is very good, but it would be even better if there were seasonal vegetables or a proper green salad available as a side...but this is not a complaint!

Been here several times. Food always lovely, really enjoy it. Especially the Camembert and the cauliflower bites. Today our server was Emily - she was lovely, friendly and attentive. Food was quick, brill as we were starving! Will definitely be back.

Food was nice but starter (Pate) came with 2 tiny slices of bread, asked for a little more bread and was charged £1.79 for again 2 tiny triangles of bread when paying nearly £9.00 for a starter this is abit much. Husband asked for salad instead of chips which his meal and what came with his steak was just awful just a small pile of iceberg lettuce he paid almost £20 for a small steak lettuce and a few veg, very disappointing. We like the manor house but this last visit has left us feeling like we probably wouldnt return, what we got for £76 for 2 people was really not worth it.

Very expensive wine prices be careful before you order .

Had another lush meal tonight. The service from Alexandra was wonderful very attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious. A great place for a meal. For 2 people having starters and mains and drinks it was £60 which is fair as the food is great. Will definitely come back!

Lovely food and great service. We were served by Catherine and she went above and beyond.

We arrived really looking forward to our meal with 6 friends. On arrival we were seated and told someone would be with us to take our drinks order. After being sat for 45 minutes a member of our party went to the bar to ask a member of staff to come and take our order. We then waited a further 25 minutes for our food order to be taken. At this point we have been sat at the table for over an hour and still only have a drink. 20 minutes after we had ordered our food we were told that some of the food we had ordered was unavailable so 2 members of our party had to reorder their meals. Our food finally arrived to the table at 21:15.. the food was lovely but the service really let the food down, we are very unlikely to revisit for dinner due to the lengthy wait we experienced.

Never got to try the food as was turned away even though we were in the venue at 9 and then had to wait 10mins to be seated and for the order to go through and then another 10mins later be told the chef wouldn’t cook anymore food. Shocking!!

Our server was Emily and she was really prompt and friendly, had a great early evening dinner.

Friendly welcome. Nice table in a good atmosphere. Excellent service from Dan, very accommodating & looked after us well. Food was tasty & well presented. Dan recommended the crumble- great choice! Very happy with our visit. Guest suggestion- would be good to offer coffee & mini dessert option on the menu.

Lovely staff, plates were warm which was a plus but we paid extra for the prime cut of steak and sadly let down but the toughness of the steak. It wasn’t up to the standard of the price we paid and was more like super well done! Disappointed in the deserts and to be honest without being nasty, you may as well go to Hogarths for the same price. So disappointed but staff were fabulous

Food was very good but could have been hotter. Service was poor. We had to get our own cutlery. No member of staff came to ask if everything was ok and our plates were not cleared away xx

We travel on a narrowboat, so for the last few years we stop to visit The Manor House. It is dog friendly , which for us is important. We didn't eat this time but in previous years we have and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great service from polite and efficient staff and a good range of drinks. Will be back on our way back down the canal.

Unfortunately this visit was a disaster. We arrived at 7pm it took 15 minutes before we were served, then another 20 minutes before our drinks came. We then waited a further 20 minutes for our starters (which were very good) and another 55 minutes before our main course. My husbands pizza had been sat on the counter for around 20 mins so was cold, my Sunday roast chicken was inedible, lumpy cold gravy, overcooked veg, chicken was rubbery and tasteless, I complained. The Staff were very apologetic and I was offered an alternative meal, which I declined, due to how late it was, however I did accept a free sweet which was delicious. We did not pay for my main meal. Such a Shame as it is a beautiful old historic Manor House, very nook and cranny without being cramped.

Sorry , but we left even before our drinks arrived.. Drinks menu fell apart in our hands., the food menu was wet and dirty, we also felt like we had been put in the quiet part of the restaurant out of the way... no for me. Sorry.

Good food, good value, excellent service

We had a lovely table and a wonderful waitress. Although it took a while for food to arrive, it was very tasty and came altogether. We were not rushed out.

Me and my boyfriend had our anniversary meal at the Manor House, we love the food and the vibe, it’s one of our favourite places to go out and Abi served us she was absolutely amazing, friendly and great service!

Problem with one serving but otherwise excellent

A lovely birthday meal for my husband. Food was excellent. Staff were welcoming and very friendly! Our waitress Laura was very attentive and made sure we were well looked after! Definitely a place to visit again!

Dined here last night and, we have to say, the experience was excellent! We were seated in the area at the back as soon as we arrived and our ordered drinks came very shortly afterwards. Food quality, quantity & presentation was exceptional, and the service was prompt from drinks on arrival to the bill on leaving. Our server Connie was very pleasant, attentive & obliging. One very minor disappointment was that they had run out of Fish & Chips (partners choice) and a couple of others on the menu but that certainly wouldn’t deter us from visiting again! I had the Steak & Ale pie, which was superb - beautiful pastry & filling and the mash was just the way I like it! I must say, we last ate here over 22-years-ago and can’t say that it was a good experience back then - my, how things have changed! 😊 Will certainly eat here again in the very near future and would definitely recommend.

We booked on a Monday night, but were told on arrival that the table was still occupied. The bar area was recommended so we sat at a table there. We ordered drinks, but then realized we had to go to the bar to order food and further drinks - not ideal when there's a wait at the bar - so I'd recommend waiting for the Restaurant if this happens to you! Food was slow to come out and the staff did come out to apologize (unprompted). My pizza looked like it didn't get fully cooked, but tasted ok. The other food was good. It's a very nice place and I would go again but I'd give the bar a miss for food.

We hadn't been to the Manor since pre covid, we had a couple of visits where we experienced poor service although the food has always been great. We are so pleased we went back. The food was exceptional and the service second to none. We were assisted by at least 4 members of the team however out waitress was Alexandra and she was a breath of fresh air, friendly, efficient and incredibly polite regardless of being incredibly busy. We cannot wait until our next visit. Thank you so much for the wonderful meal and lovely evening. See you again soon 😊 Our meal 2 sticky chicken starters (lush) 1 seabass (WOW) 1 ribeye steak med (bloody lovely) Sticky toffee pudding (best hubby has had apparently) 1 cheesecake with sour cherry (my mouth was watering whilst I ate) So one week on and we returned for another meal and again came away thinking WOW! Katie was our waitress today, what a lovely lady with such a wonderful genuine smile. Fabulous food, absolutely delicious, we cannot fault a thing. An absolute pleasure to visit. Thank you again.

It is quite quiet and seating is amazing. Toilets are extremely clean and well kept along with the whole place , I recommend coming here when it’s bright and sunny , as the chairs outside and the view is stunning. The food is also good but I would like to say there should be more options and less pricey. Overall , the services here is amazing , food tastes great and food arrives fast. I really recommend coming here !

Catherine was lovely from the minute we say down. She was polite and attentive and she was very bubbly. She never forgot about us and kept checking if we needed anymore drinks or anything else we required. Overall she is very good at her job! Thank you :)

The food was excellent. Three of us had freshly made pizza straight from the pizza oven and 1 fish and chips. All very good quality and plenty of it. Our server was Alexandra who was an absolute delight and great fun. I would go back again just because of her. So good to have a waitress who really seems to like her job and the customers she’s serving. She’s an asset to the restaurant.
