Nice venue for a wedding , but prices for the same drinks ranged from £28 to £19 for the same round . Depending on who served you , food was cold and we where one of the first up so no excuse . We where in the function room so no other questions apply

I have been to this pub a few times now, and the service is brilliant each time we go. My partner and her parents love the carvery there and for the price I must say, you'll not find any with the same quality and choice. Apart from Yorkshire puds (I am northern!), I am not much of a fan of the Sunday carvery staple that has been bred into us as a country. I decided to try something different and landed on the vegetarian lasagne, and oh boy, was I in for a treat. Served with garlic bread, an array of nicely arranged salad, and I even added chips to the order for a little extra. If, like me, you fancy a change, I'd definitely recommend that dish. To finish off I enjoyed a lovely lemon meringue pie with ice cream, while my partner enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and the mother in law went all out, designing a nice chocolate and mint sundae. It's a relatively large pub with a lot of seating options, and you can see their menu online via their website before you go! I would have loved to get photos of everybody else's food. However, they were a little too keen to tuck in. Regardless of that the trip put made a happy Paul yet again!

Well worth booking for a carvery great service fair price

Called in lunchtime today. The lady who took our order was very helpful and friendly. We ordered a sandwich which should have come with a side salad and tortilla chips . When the young lady brought our food which was a sandwich with a few green withered salad leaves, no tortilla chips. We asked where they were . She went back , brought our chips out that we ordered but never mentioned the tortilla chips then walked off . The food is definitely not worth the money so won't be going again.

We were so looking forward to our meal at the Dudley Arms on Easter Sunday. Reserving a table for five we couldnt wait as we'd been before and the food was great and the pub had lovely atmosphere. Two from the group ordered steak and the one steak was very chewy and fully of gristle. Our understanding was they were supposed to be 10oz steaks but they were far from it. The peas were dried out and overcooked and everything on the plate was only lukewarm. The rest had carverys. The meat was beautifully tender except the beet which was full of gristle and unchewable. The veg itself was only lukewarm but enjoyable. So overall we were deflated and disappointed about the food especially on a day to celebrate Easter We will not be returning unless the food improves.

Had carvery about 2pm food luke warm was lovely but not hot

Absolutley shocking charged £7 for one spoon of beans and 1 egg for a child under 2 staff were rude talking about it to other staff very unprofessional came to table was said loud enough for everyone to hear have no problem with paying for anything but your staff are a disgrace I think you need to teach them some customer care hardly any breakfast available on an all you can eat breakfast I appreciate you are busy but doesn't excuse rude staff or being ripped off avoid avoid avoid 😡😡😡😡

Our first visit to the pub and we were welcomed by the staff. Plenty of seats, great prices, and great beers.

On entering the building we had to wait for only about five minutes as I had booked in advance. Didn’t have to wait long to go up to the carvery, selection was ok, gravy was tasteless, all the vegetables was very hard, and the cauliflower cheese was the worse I have ever experienced, taste was like dish water 🤢 lady who took our plates away said that they have had been having complaints all day so hopefully it was just a one off, not sure if we will chance it again

Always loved the food at Dudley arms but went with my one year old today and got told I had to pay £3.50 for a plate so he could sit and eat a couple of veg off my plate but the table next to us got a free tub to take home for the dogs. Be nice if you could of provided a 'free tub' for my little baby boy instead he had to eat food off a napkin. I would of paid for him to have a plate but knowing he would hardly eat anything be nice if I was not questioned and could of been given a very small plate or tub for him.

Visited mothers day as a group of 4 to treat mom and everything was amazing, greeted very pleasantly and the quality of food was fantastic, will absolutely be coming again soon

Visited today what a waste of money, the carvery was awful, inedible Yorkshire pudding, chewy dried out meat and the gravy was like coloured water with about the same taste. Neither of us ate the meal. Absolute waste of money

Came yesterday for a Mother’s Day carvery, booked on the phone & paid a £60 deposit for 6 people, however one person couldn’t come due to illness, they wouldn’t knock the extra £10 off the bull even tho the rest of the party turned up?! Ridiculous considering it’s a carvery and you ain’t going out your way to cater to the absent person lol. Won’t return gravy was so watery and was out right next to were they serve the carvery’s was gravy running all off peoples plates on the floor. Disgusting!

Tried this place for the first time. The lady behind the carvery counter was very friendly and helpful. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The food was great with very generous portion sizes. We’ll definitely be returning! 💯

All you can eat breakfast filling and fantastic. Not very hot but just enough to eat. Big plates well normal size . Nice easy meal. I will be eating it again.

We have been a couple of times now and have to say it’s just an average carvery. Pay extra for extra meat but plate size is the same so everything is piled on top of each other and seating is awful. Everytime we go we have been shoe horned into seat with no room to move and enjoy our meal. My suggestion is take a couple of tables out and let people eat in comfort rather than squeezing everyone on top of each other

Have been coming here for years with my family we usually sit in the Tipton room , atmosphere is always pleasant and service is always with a smile , when being greeted by Libby she is always smiling and happy to help , nothing ever seems to be too much trouble , highly recommend

Have been coming here for 20 years, staff are so welcoming, food and service is always great. Libby always has a smile when we walk in and is one of my favourites but all the staff are lovely x

The breakfast to me was ok, nothing special. The mushrooms however was for me the tastiest mushrooms ever. The rest was just mediocre. The sausage in particular were not the best.

I come here weekly, always excellent friendly service. The carveries and salmon dish are excellent value for money. Highly recommended. For people eating alone - staff make you feel comfortable. Libby, Izzy and Becky provide outstanding service.

Came here yesterday as a group of 7. 4 adults and 3 children. The pub itself is very nice. Cosy and decorated well. On arrival we waited quite a while to be seated. It was very busy so the queue for the bar was very long to order food and drinks. We all had the carvery. Reasonably priced for adults but I feel the kids carvery should be cheaper than £10. We ordered food and drinks and was given a ticket with a number. When the number came up on the board, we could go and get the carvery. The carvery service area is very small and there was a backlog of people all putting their veggies and gravy on so took a while to get our food. The meat was OK. I had turkey and pork. Turkey needs to be carved thinner though! Good choice of vegetables and potatoes. Yorkshire pudding and stuffing were very good. Overall a nice lunch and a nice atmosphere.

Visited here with my family and we love nothing more than a cold/Luke warm meal with tough chewy beef that we all had to spit out in our napkins- cold veg, nasty Yorkshire puddings and cold hard roast potatoes. Won’t be visiting again, 1st and last time!

Best carvery in the area and gluten-free available How things change...beef was dry, overcooked and grossly in places, ham needed ultra trimming to get rid of the fat....pork didn't look apertising, so gave it a miss. Vegetables were OK, although roast potatoes were well burnt. Mentioned to senior member of staff that we weren't happy and my wife had left most of meat as inedible. His answer was, you can always go back to the counter and get another slice of meat!!!!! Why would I!!! Shame I won't be returning, considering my positive review last time 26/1 - Obviously did not read the edited part of the review....maybe 1 star will jog there memory?

Was under construction so not the nicest looking pub only had a drink however the carvery did look amazing and seemed popular

First class place for food, drink and great service

Attended a funeral wake in the rear first floor 'DA' function room in January 2025 . The access to function room is easy but the access road / ramp is 'hidden' at the rear right hand side of the lower main car park . It has its own large and well laid out car park . The room access is disability friendly with a ramp along side the entrance steps ( a handrail might be usual) A child changing toilet on the left hand side of the bar [ with a picture of a child but no disabled sign) The room has various spaces with about 8 round tables with chairs in the main room and a further two square wooden tables with wooden arm chairs in a smaller space nearer the door . A spiral staircase leads to a further large mezzanine floor , this was not in use during our function. A buffet meal was organised for the visitors and a self service meal of freshly cooked chips , chicken nuggets and sausage rolls accompanied by salad serving was well received.

This place was the best! You could take a lady there, and know they were having a great breakfast! I went today, and it was horrid, seemed it was cooked last night!

Lovely food, staff and atmosphere. We came here before we were supposed to go the see the Himley light trail (which ended up being cancelled) so it is handy if you want to go for a walk and then have some food/drinks.

I booked an afternoon tea party here for my Mom's 60th. From booking, liaising dietary requirements to the service on the day - it was absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond and were all so polite. Thank you all

Great room upstairs and great staff

Breakfast! Cheap over cooked produce. Tried breakfast here again after several years. Nothing has changed, food is still terrible. Go anywhere else for a better breakfast

Took my elderly father here today for Carvery . When I got there the place was nearly full and this was at 12.30pm on a Wednesday!!!!. I soon realised why , the pub was lovely and warm ,nicely decorated, the staff were friendly and helpful & the food was superb . All in all a wonderful experience 👍👍

Wandering in from staying at a hotel up the road, didn't know what to expect. The Dudley arms was absolutely excellent. Staff were super friendly and made you feel at home. Food was ace and excellent value for money. Would definitely come if I'm in the area. Zero nonsense pub with great food. Need more places like this everywhere.

Called in a few times now for the breakfast buffet. Food has always been nice and the staff have always been friendly. Would recommend.

Tried this pub twice now and both times the staff weren't really bothered to serve you the woman behind the bar was too busy talking to her friend we were just told to find a place to sit and after finishing our meal the waitress just took out plates without saying a word, we werent offered the chance to view the pudding menu and left because we just overly felt unwelcomed. Tried the carvery and it was a mix between tasteless and over salty gravy is like water and the Yorkshire puddings were horrible, didn't really like the fact that there was gravy in the horseradish sauce bowl, so obviously cross contaminated. Overall an unenjoyable experience and I doubt I'll give the place another go, thought the first time bad experience may have been a one off but obviously not

Went here for the first time for the carvery. Great value and good selection. Meat was cooked well and the selection of sides was good. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this carvery!

Have been here for buffet breakfast as well as an Afternoon Tea for our wedding reception. Emma and the team do a fine job, the food is outstanding and the service is excellent.

We had 2 carvery dinners. Probably, the best we've ever had! Large portions seem standard. Excellent pint of peroni. Staff friendly and polite. Great place, we'll be back very soon!

Had a lovely beef dinner from the carvery

Attended a wedding party in the rear function room The room is amazing and not just a standard room. It has an amazing spiral staircase to a mezzanine floor for more seating and a great view overlooking the dance floor. The little bar also covers a separate bar area and an ideal.patio outdoor area to the front (because there is always people who need to vape or smoke or let the kids get some fresh air.

Let's start with the super things. It's a great pub, a very friendly welcome and lots of space. Even though it was busy it did not feel crowded it's a great space. The carvery offering is very good value and the meat and Yorkshire puddings were very good. Now the not so good. At the bar I asked the girl serving if they had French champagne, now that's not a big ask as you can buy very good French champagne from Aldi. You would have thought by the face she pulled I had asked her to hand over her first born. Then I ask about the red wine and with a struggle we eventually go through them however for a pub not to stock a standard Pinot Noir seems a bit odd. Back to the carvery and the vegetables. The carrots were not peeled and looked as if they had been hacked at and not cut, the boiled potatoes had not been peeled which made them looked dirty. The vegetables just looked insiped and not inviting at all. That said it's still great value for money and people were piling their plates high. It just needs some finesse but that's only my opinion.

This place does exactly what it says on the tin! I know it has its own menu, but for consistency it’s a good carvery, always plenty of choice, they never seem to run out of food and there’s always a member of staff about. We booked a table and that’s the only downside, even if you book, there’s still a bit of a wait for a table and then for your spot at the carvery. But, every table was taken, all the staff were friendly and helpful and it’s very rare to see anyone get turned away!

Just lately this venue has subbed as an emergency car park while the Himley roadworks have been taking place! This has meant that I've partaken of breakfast on the following morning, always good value. I've been using the Dudley Arms for many years now and, just recently, have started to drop in every other week with a friend for a lunchtime carvery. It's always great value, plenty of choice - three meats - and a good selection of vegetables. The Arms is also my 'local', the company there is always good and the staff are uniformly brilliant. The Arms can get very busy for food at weekends (which is entirely understandable) so I do tend to avoid those days, but otherwise it's great. There's a cracking function room upstairs too as well as a Gin Bar available for hire for smaller parties. The venue has just received something of a makeover, with new artwork which looks stunning. There is plenty of parking. As ever, highly recommended.

Been coming here for years mainly on a Sunday for a Sunday dinner and then the odd early morning breakfasts . You can’t fault the food! Dam perfect! The staff are all lovey! Always going at bit extra for you . Who ever the mangers and chefs are make sure they stay! Because as pubs / restaurants go this ones up their with the very best in the country!

Went for carvery on a Wednesday night with a friend, 5pm, all food was fresh ,tasty and the beef just melted in your mouth- I think the pub could do with a paint/update refresh - just my opinion 😀

Arrived around 6pm or there about party of 4 of us Quite empty for a Saturday evening we did try calling to book but phone just told us to call back later Anyway upon arrival it was very empty as I said Served straight away and table Nice quiet spot 3 of us had carvery and sorry to say very disappointed all the meats was dry..beef pork turkey and gammon looked like it had been standing all the veg had also been standing for quite some time very dry..but thought ok Let's get some gravy if that is what it was called more like brown water plates was cold so what heat was in the food went quickly..the cutlery was appallingly dirty I tried wiping with a napkin and it was still dirty I could not get it off I had to ask for clean cutlery 🍴 food hygiene is high on my agenda I'm seeing dirty cutlery what can you expect from the kitchen We was offered something else but if the carvery was bad I didn't know how the other food would be We had an excuse they was getting ready for a birthday party but that's know excuse for poor quality seemed like they was considerably under staffed I've been in there over the years and has always been ok but I shall not be eating there again The Dudley arms sorry for not a good review but I only ever give honest opinions
