Breakfast! Cheap over cooked produce. Tried breakfast here again after several years. Nothing has changed, food is still terrible. Go anywhere else for a better breakfast

Took my elderly father here today for Carvery . When I got there the place was nearly full and this was at 12.30pm on a Wednesday!!!!. I soon realised why , the pub was lovely and warm ,nicely decorated, the staff were friendly and helpful & the food was superb . All in all a wonderful experience 👍👍

Wandering in from staying at a hotel up the road, didn't know what to expect. The Dudley arms was absolutely excellent. Staff were super friendly and made you feel at home. Food was ace and excellent value for money. Would definitely come if I'm in the area. Zero nonsense pub with great food. Need more places like this everywhere.

Called in a few times now for the breakfast buffet. Food has always been nice and the staff have always been friendly. Would recommend.

Tried this pub twice now and both times the staff weren't really bothered to serve you the woman behind the bar was too busy talking to her friend we were just told to find a place to sit and after finishing our meal the waitress just took out plates without saying a word, we werent offered the chance to view the pudding menu and left because we just overly felt unwelcomed. Tried the carvery and it was a mix between tasteless and over salty gravy is like water and the Yorkshire puddings were horrible, didn't really like the fact that there was gravy in the horseradish sauce bowl, so obviously cross contaminated. Overall an unenjoyable experience and I doubt I'll give the place another go, thought the first time bad experience may have been a one off but obviously not

Went here for the first time for the carvery. Great value and good selection. Meat was cooked well and the selection of sides was good. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this carvery!

We had 2 carvery dinners. Probably, the best we've ever had! Large portions seem standard. Excellent pint of peroni. Staff friendly and polite. Great place, we'll be back very soon!

Have been here for buffet breakfast as well as an Afternoon Tea for our wedding reception. Emma and the team do a fine job, the food is outstanding and the service is excellent.

Perfect Sunday lunch. Staff down to earth and very friendly. Will call again soon

Attended a wedding party in the rear function room The room is amazing and not just a standard room. It has an amazing spiral staircase to a mezzanine floor for more seating and a great view overlooking the dance floor. The little bar also covers a separate bar area and an ideal.patio outdoor area to the front (because there is always people who need to vape or smoke or let the kids get some fresh air.

Let's start with the super things. It's a great pub, a very friendly welcome and lots of space. Even though it was busy it did not feel crowded it's a great space. The carvery offering is very good value and the meat and Yorkshire puddings were very good. Now the not so good. At the bar I asked the girl serving if they had French champagne, now that's not a big ask as you can buy very good French champagne from Aldi. You would have thought by the face she pulled I had asked her to hand over her first born. Then I ask about the red wine and with a struggle we eventually go through them however for a pub not to stock a standard Pinot Noir seems a bit odd. Back to the carvery and the vegetables. The carrots were not peeled and looked as if they had been hacked at and not cut, the boiled potatoes had not been peeled which made them looked dirty. The vegetables just looked insiped and not inviting at all. That said it's still great value for money and people were piling their plates high. It just needs some finesse but that's only my opinion.

This place does exactly what it says on the tin! I know it has its own menu, but for consistency it’s a good carvery, always plenty of choice, they never seem to run out of food and there’s always a member of staff about. We booked a table and that’s the only downside, even if you book, there’s still a bit of a wait for a table and then for your spot at the carvery. But, every table was taken, all the staff were friendly and helpful and it’s very rare to see anyone get turned away!

Just lately this venue has subbed as an emergency car park while the Himley roadworks have been taking place! This has meant that I've partaken of breakfast on the following morning, always good value. I've been using the Dudley Arms for many years now and, just recently, have started to drop in every other week with a friend for a lunchtime carvery. It's always great value, plenty of choice - three meats - and a good selection of vegetables. The Arms is also my 'local', the company there is always good and the staff are uniformly brilliant. The Arms can get very busy for food at weekends (which is entirely understandable) so I do tend to avoid those days, but otherwise it's great. There's a cracking function room upstairs too as well as a Gin Bar available for hire for smaller parties. The venue has just received something of a makeover, with new artwork which looks stunning. There is plenty of parking. As ever, highly recommended.

Been coming here for years mainly on a Sunday for a Sunday dinner and then the odd early morning breakfasts . You can’t fault the food! Dam perfect! The staff are all lovey! Always going at bit extra for you . Who ever the mangers and chefs are make sure they stay! Because as pubs / restaurants go this ones up their with the very best in the country!

Went for carvery on a Wednesday night with a friend, 5pm, all food was fresh ,tasty and the beef just melted in your mouth- I think the pub could do with a paint/update refresh - just my opinion 😀

Arrived around 6pm or there about party of 4 of us Quite empty for a Saturday evening we did try calling to book but phone just told us to call back later Anyway upon arrival it was very empty as I said Served straight away and table Nice quiet spot 3 of us had carvery and sorry to say very disappointed all the meats was dry..beef pork turkey and gammon looked like it had been standing all the veg had also been standing for quite some time very dry..but thought ok Let's get some gravy if that is what it was called more like brown water plates was cold so what heat was in the food went quickly..the cutlery was appallingly dirty I tried wiping with a napkin and it was still dirty I could not get it off I had to ask for clean cutlery 🍴 food hygiene is high on my agenda I'm seeing dirty cutlery what can you expect from the kitchen We was offered something else but if the carvery was bad I didn't know how the other food would be We had an excuse they was getting ready for a birthday party but that's know excuse for poor quality seemed like they was considerably under staffed I've been in there over the years and has always been ok but I shall not be eating there again The Dudley arms sorry for not a good review but I only ever give honest opinions

Had our wedding reception and.my husband's birthday celebrations here. From the initial booking to the day was amazing nothing was too much for Emma and Neil. On the day, Chris was was so attentive, went above and beyond to make our day so special, food was amazing, carvery and buffet were complimented from our guests ❤️ xx

Lovely cosey friendly pub, nice decour. Good choice of drinks.

Have to be honest , it's gone from being great to not so good , although the staff are friendly enough , the foods no better than anything you can cook yourself, and being perfectly frank , the whole place needs a good clean. Tables are sticky , chairs are dirty , and the bar needs a deep clean when you look behind the bar whilst waiting to be served . Wouldnt go again to be honest , vast improvement needed all around .

Really good pub grub with large portions, staff very accommodating. Happy atmosphere, large carpark ONLY CONS No dogs inside, which is a shame given its location next to Himley Hall Park and Gardens.....this means eating outside right next to a very busy A449. and everything a sunny Saturday in June brings. But food really was good and served with aa smile.

We were a party of 20, people enjoyed the meals ordered off the menu but the carvery was not very good which was a shame, the staff were pleasant and helpful

Private function. Room was very nicely decorated and laid out with balcony and feature spiral staircase. Buffet meal was good, but lacked much for vegetarian option. Room would be a bit hot on a summer evening, but was fine on a cooler evening.

Took my 3 children alone and the staff were just amazing, even though they were so busy they were all on the ball and so attentive. Lady serving the carveries noticed I was charged for 2 adults so got someone to sort this out for me even though I said not to worry about it then she got someone to help me carry my plates to the table to the children. Food was lovely, children had ice creams to follow where the staff helped them to make their own after eating and sitting so well. Thanks Neil and all your staff!

Just been here for Sunday carvery was shown to table small queue to order food only 2 serving ordered food and drinks has I didn't see any price for the carvery I was told it was £13 each which is a bit expensive but I thought it might be worth it having waited 3/4 hour for our number which never came up and went pass we joined the queue and was asked what meat I went for beef and turkey and was asked if I want stuffing and Yorkshire pudding which I did the Yorkshire pudding was very flat and didn't resemble nothing like a Yorkshire pudding a queue for vegetables not a very big area on top of the carved meat and small choice I went for leeks in a cheese sauce broccoli and carrots roast potatoes and mashed potatoes and then the gravy very thin and turned round to add condiments the containers hardly had anything in them,on eating the leeks it tasted very gritty and I asked my wife what hers was like and they were the same obviously they had not been washed before cutting and cooking them,the carrots was hard so was the roasted potatoes my daughter didn't like the beef she said it tasted livery a cheep cut of meat overhaul was not worth the money I wouldn't recommend.

Good little pub. First time going to a place when someone in our party reserves places and they don't have menu's and cutlery ready for that reservation on the table. We had to go up and ask for that, also not informed about the Specials that where available. The food was good, a massive Fish if you order the Fish and Chips. Was surprised to see that when we got asked for sauces the person who bought a Steak asked for the normal sauce that comes with the steak which was Peppercorn Sauce got charged for the Peppercorn sauce (£2.25) where as others at the table didn't get charged for there sauces. (Mayo and Ketchup) We didn't get told that we would be charged for the Peppercorn Sauce, as I don't think the person who asked for it would of got it knowing we got charged for it. Half the party was a little disappointed in the options for Dessert that were available here, I was totally happy with the options.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior decoration. This place is fantastic! I was staying nearby (that’s another story 😢) for 5 days. Both breakfast and lunch buffet as well as the a la carte were excellent and great prices. Had a salad and asked for olive oil expecting the usual stuff and very happy to be served with an excellent green gold virgin high quality. Staff excellent as well. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Went to meet family for breakfast very good and hot plenty of choice. It was fairly quiet but was getting busy when we left around 11.30.

Overall a good experience. However the general atmosphere and cleanliness left a little to be desired. Staff worked hard and were generally polite and courteous.

Food was great and prices was fair would highly recommend and if we are ever back in the area would go again everyone was friendly.

Really great atmosphere, brilliant helpful staff who I'm pleased to say smile . Really nice clean interior . The cooking smells are amazing. You can order off the menu or have the carvery. And folks the plates are NOT small. My only small criticism is the toilets, the doors could do with bleaching or painting. Other than that this place is brilliant and I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast next time we go. Oh and folks there's plenty of parking.

Very nice, friendly pub. Stopped by for a carvery everything was great, good size portion, plenty of veg to choose from. Good value. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the lack of regular soft drinks. Britvic apple was the only option or juice. Please pubs, let me choose if I want regular soft drinks or diet, I like an ice cold Cola with my carvery, and i think diet soft drinks taste nasty. But overall, a nice place to go.

Rammed at 4.30 pm Sunday.....we booked and you need to weekends.....seated quickly...bar service a little slow but to be fair very busy.....most of our party had carvery which was great.....2 diners with food off the menu didn't get theirs until we had nearly finished.... otherwise 5 star all round

Table was Filthy and Sticky. I was told I couldn't have fresh beef. The meat was stringy. When they carved the turkey it was way too thick and they just slapped it on the plate. They wasn't wearing hair nets either whilst carving the meat. Wine glass was filthy. Very disappointed

Decent, used for a wake after a funeral..

Booked ahead for Mother’s Day, food was not up to the usual standard (which is already fairly low considering the chain) food was overcooked, dry and we won’t be returning or recommending to anyone for any type of event based meal.

Truly tasty carvery and all very fresh, really lovely mothers day food 👍 My only crtiticism is I wish there were more veg options like broccoli, parsnips etc. The roast potatoes and yorkshire puds were the bet I have tasted 😛 Thank you for getting us in so late for mothers day, truly appreciated.

8 March 2024: after our visit to Town & Country Meats (excellent as always) on the Dudley Arms carpark today, we thought we'd have a coffee in the Dudley Arms before heading home. It was 0940, and the place was already busy, but first impressions was that it was warm and clean. Greeted by a pleasant and friendly staff member, we then thought we'd have a Buffet Breakfast. Whilst the coffee was good - the breakfast sadly wasn't! The bacon, black pudding and sausage that my husband had were too overcooked and hard - sadly not able to be eaten. The eggs had obviously been under the heater lamps quite a while - but we could at least eat those. Same can be said of the hash browns and mushrooms. Overall - disappointing. Next time we are getting our meat, we will stick to the coffee.

Son took me for first visit to DA for mothers day lunch. carvery was really good, plenty of choice, Will the waiter could no do enough for us. I need a stick to walk and he carried my plate without being asked. Dessert was so good, cherry crumble.

The first thing I noticed was the pub itself is rather run down. You are not able to book a table online. The food itself wasn’t great we ordered two steaks one medium and it came out tougher than an old leather boot. The lady who looked like a manager (blonde hair) had a right face on her from the moment we stepped in. it was like we was inconveniencing her by being there. When I complained about the food the steak was replaced and the steak was cooked properly the manager came over and asked if everything was ok with the food but she had a right attitude doing it. We was crammed in to one small back room with several other family’s. They had “reserved” the rest of the restaurant but no one tuned up while we was there think they just wanted everyone in one place makes it easier for them. I didn’t have a carvery but it didn’t look appealing. The only reason I went to the Dudley arms was because Himley House is having work done to it.

This was recommended to us by a Friend so we came for Sunday lunch without a booking, we were promptly seated although it was very busy. The food was amazing and we could see why it gets busy, the staff were very friendly and there is plenty of parking, we will definitely be trying again.

Food was amazing, staff really attentive

We went on their busiest day at their busiest time. The food was lovely! The portion sizes were crazy. I felt like I was going to need to be rolled out of there! The carvery was perfect, and I’m quite fussy about a roast. Their system kept everything moving and although there were long wait lines for drinks and purchasing the carvery, it was well worth it!

Can get very crowded of weekend but that’s for good reason.
