The front of house staff were very friendly and helpful but the chef wasn’t and in fact didn’t have a personality at all. He’s clearly not picked up on the friendly service that’s always been given to us by Adrian and some of the other chefs over the years. The beef was lovely but the roast potatoes were like bullets and inedible and the dinner wasn’t very warm. What a shame, as we’ve been dining here for years.

Lovely place, room was very clean and comfortable. Everything in good working order and a generous tea and coffee tray. The restaurant is very nice, table service, the staff are lovely. The food is what you would expect at this price point. Breakfast was good, there is plenty of choice, though we had the traditional full English. All in all, great value for money, no fancy gimmicks, just a good, honest welcoming Inn

We visited today as it’s our wedding anniversary. We got married at Draycote several years ago and thought it would be nice to revisit for afternoon tea to celebrate our anniversary. It was lovely being back there and it evoked happy memories. However, the service wasn’t good. The food itself was pretty good. We were the only ones in the restaurant yet not once did anyone come to ask if everything was ok or if we wanted anything. We had to go and find someone to ask for another drink. For our second cup of tea the milk provided had gone completely off. Leaving large bits of soured milk floating around in the cup. Mentioned this to the waitress and there barely an apology. Didn’t even offer to replace the drink. It was nice for us sentimentally to go back but I really wouldn’t recommend it for anyone else. I’d say go to one of the nicer places around here with a better ambience and better customer service.

Lovely setting and delicious food. The breakfast menu has lots of variety and options to pick from to suit different tastes. We will be returning in the future, especially as it’s only a stones throw away from the quantocks.

I can't refer to this place as Malancha as it remains forever in my memory as Omars. Last time here I had a very acceptable meal. But, mid week dinner several years later, with a different name on the door not so much. Pre booked a table for x3 at 19.00hrs and on arrival I can honestly say, I've had warmer welcomes from my dentists. Pre booked a table for three, mentioned that we had a reservation and the guy looked at us gone out. Bit like Katie Price in a library. Oh and as a fuller figured gentleman, some may say fat git (& they'd be right!) It'd be nice if they unlocked both the outside doors. So me and my mate sat at the table waiting for our colleague and eventually got offered a drink and poppadoms but we declined the latter until arrival of our friend who had driven from Birmingham to meet us. The cabaret consisted of one of the waiters picking his nose, then inspecting the fruits of his efforts and bashing on with serving the guests. Nice. We all agreed that the food was underwhelming. Cant be bothered to go into detail about the dishes we were served, perfectly edible but yeah, non of us had our taste buds entertained. Couldn't be arsed to have the conversation with them as I suspect any attempt to improve would've been fruitless. Look , try for yourselves, you may have a completely satisfactory meal, I hope you do so please - give it a whirl I was hopeful the son of Omars would be up to par but sadly my search for a good Indian restaurant in the Rugby area, like Lord Sugar looking for his next apprentice, continues. Although we did not stay there, we dined there every day during our stop at our lodge. Staff were very welcoming and always pleased to help. We ate there 5 times and every meal and snack were excellent. Sunday dinner and All day breakfast all cooked fresh. Would highly recommend this place especially with golf course attached to it. 10 out of 10.

Quite busy, which isn't a bad thing. At the time of booking, wheelchair access was requested, but it may have been overlooked. The staff resolved it by moving 2 tables to accommodate 8 guests. To be honest, it's a bit tight for 2 wheelchair users to move around, and there are steps to different levels, so the choices of eating areas are quite restricted. Food ordering is QR code and smart app. The carvery was simple and tasty, reasonably good choice of vegetables. Desserts were good, and the table service was fine. The accessibility for the toilet (singular) wasn't the best. The wheelchair had to be left in the hallway because there was no room for the chair and user to be in there at the same time. Pricing was about average. Might be a while before I go back, but I probably will at some point in the future.
