Went for the carvery lunch and it was excellent. The service was friendly and unhurried. The food was very tasty - choice of two meats and selection of veg etc. they were generous with the cutting of the meat too. Definitely will be going back again

Extremely disappointed with Sunday lunch. Although the staff were very helpful and friendly, the restaurant environment was unbelievably noisy (all hard surfaces with nothing to absorb sound) and an equally bad carvery meal. Utterly tasteless pork accompanied by undercooked parsnips and vegetables. Most of our meals were left on the plate and I was glad to get home for some peace and quiet and a sandwich! We all agreed that we would not be returning.

Me and my hubbie had a Roast Carvery Plates were hot, server was very pleasant Food was delicious. I had Turkey it was tasty. All veg was delicious. The carrots were extra tasty. Staff very friendly especially I think the manager. Very welcoming Very spacious Would highly recommend Look forward to next time

The best roast dinner I have ever had. The food and variety was exceptional, great atmosphere and a brilliant team. Credit to the chef Ashlee, the food was incredible. A warm welcome from Keith and lovely waitresses.

Celebration tea was absolutely amazing. Lots of savouries as well as cake and scones. Unlimited tea and coffee and a bottle of prosecco each. We couldn't eat it all so they boxed it up for us to take away. Excellent quality food, no food waste and a lovely restaurant with exceptional staff. Definitely worth going.

I'm annoyingly picky when it comes to where I eat. I know what I want and the standards I expect. The staff were welcoming on arrival, the quality of the carvery was great and the puddings amazing. Priced very reasonably and I love the fact you can bring your well-behaved dog too. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic event on the bank holiday evening at The kitchen Quantock Lakes. Went to BBQ and watch the band Wrecking ball (brilliant country and western band). Food great, the host (Keith) is a ball of energy, the staff are polite very professional and the setting is perfect.

Went out expecting a lovely Sunday roast with my family and came out feeling rather annoyed and disappointed . We were made to feel like we should not be there . There was no attention to detail or attentiveness. The customer service was a joke unless you were a regular . You were treated like royalty . Very disappointing and definitely would not recommend .

Visited here with my husband for lunch. This was our first visit and we were impressed with the venue,scenery, food and service. Generous portions, I had the avocado on toast and the other half had the brie platter. The food was well presented, prices reasonable. Will definitely return

Pre booked afternoon tea for a baby shower, few weeks notice given. The original lady who booked for a pit party was told we’d have a room and explained that £15 for children’s was too much and they would most likely not eat anyways but would be attending. 11 adults booked and paid for afternoon tea and at £26 per person we were expecting a great afternoon. All was well until we arrived, was rudely told to wait outside we would be collect, to then be kept waiting almost 20 minutes outside in the car park, for the owner to come storming out and demand to see the lead booker away from our party! To them in front of us reprimand her for bringing extra people and how did she think that was acceptable! Bearing in mind they had been made aware of the 4 3 year olds who would be attending! We did then see another baby shower attending (we actually knew some of the attendees, who also did not pay for their children to attend and were aloud entry) all leads to believe they double booked us and didn’t want to have to deal with it. We asked for a refund and we’re told we had to wait 3 days. Absolutely disgusting behaviour none of our party will be using the kitchen again and neither will our friends or family. And coming from a catering background myself I’d be appalled if any of my staff treated anyone they way the owner spoke to us Sunday. Shame we we would have happily promoted this venue had they had an ounce of respect for anyone or even some manners wouldn’t have gone a miss.

We were welcomed by all the staff who continued to ensure we had a great experience. The race night was great fun, the host explained the proceedings ensuring a smooth running event. The food was fab, the service fab so we could not ask for more!

We were greeted by a grumpy man who tried to assist us with operation of the lift that was very temperamental and didn’t work properly. Access to the cafe was very difficult for a member of our family. We had arrived at our allocated time and our table was not ready this had been booked in advance. The afternoon tea consisted of dull unimaginative sandwich’s that resembled a children’s tea party. Thankfully the cakes were more like the quality that week expected. We made a member of staff aware of this who appeared to a little dismissive of our concerns . Not the experience we were hoping for.

A fabulous evening of Champagne & Canapés last night. Magical Christmas atmosphere, warm & inviting, with sparkling decorations & candles. Great, friendly & efficient staff & wonderful, flavoursome, beautifully presented food. The food was well paced & everything was described on delivery to the table. We enjoyed a terrific evening & had great conversations with our neighbouring tables too! So glad this amazing venue is only 5 mins from home! Congratulations all concerned, a huge success, Merry Christmas to you all!

We visited with friends as part of the Christmas lunch with jazz. It was absolutely a wonderful experience. The location was decorated beautifully some tables having candelabras, others with kighted tabletop Christmas trees. The food was delicious, the best carvery I've had. Desserts were individual taster pots which again were delicious. Drinks were ordered & served by waiting staff. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We were sat on a table at the top of the stairs by window. Cold and draughty on a cold day. Food mediocre. Customers need to be asked how they like their burger cooked otherwise it’s almost raw and bloody 😩Bubble and squeak stringy. So disappointing for a birthday get together. Won’t be returning I’m afraid.
