Great comfortable country pub. Nice rooms, delicious food and great service.

Lovely staff, great food, reasonable prices.

I have asked Vintage Inns to change my non-refundable booking to refundable (I am more than happy to pay extra) as I can no longer stay at the hotel and they refuse. I have complained and we will see what happens - hopefully they will re-consider and I will be able to give the review the hotel deserves.

Food was lovely, room clean and tidy but sadly I was very cold Monday night and there were no extra blankets to put on the bed and the radiator was cold.

Really impressed with the venue. All staff we interacted with were lovely. Our waitress for dinner deserves a special shout out- her name was natasha and she really went above and beyond. Food was also brilliant.

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Rooms were clean and breakfast was great.

Pros: The check in was easy, staff were very friendly. The bar area is very nice with a good range of drinks. The breakfast was lovely. Cons: Lack of tea cups at breakfast and quite a small area for people to make their drinks. The radiator in our room was on Full the whole stay. A young lady said she would turn the boilers off, but it didn't work. The room window only opened so far and we had to sleep on the bed with no covers on. (Room 7).

Our stay was perfect. My husband arrived early morning after an overnight flight and was allowed to go in one of the rooms early so he could get some sleep. Generally the staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Food was also amazing!

Very clean and well equipped rooms. Very cozy and the staff were beyond friendly. Great pub downstairs.

The rooms were excellent and tastefully decorated, a comfortable bed and great shower. The bonus of a great bar serving fantastic food on site was the icing on the cake.

We loved staying at the dun cow, beautiful old building, rooms were spacious, clean and comfy. Have everything you need. The bar downstairs was excellent, warm, picturesque. Great history of the building. Good prices and the staff were all brilliant. Location was excellent. Loved our stay here.

It is very nice cozy place. Very good atmosphere. The room was big, bed was great, but wintertime the bathroom is cold. Some heating would raise the standard significanyly

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were great, food was good, prices reasonable. Room was fairly quiet considering the hotel is on a busy junction. Couple of negatives shower water overflowed the shower tray, we did mention it to staff. Car parking was difficult, as you were busy.

Andrew’s friendliness and welcome started the stay well. We had dinner and food and service was excellent. Room clean and well appointed, however I think that water should be provided in the room.

The manager was very friendly and extremely helpful and professional. Room 16 is very dark with minimal lighting and he let me use the meeting room for hair and makeup as I was attending a wedding in the local area. We both had a full English breakfast in the morning and it was spot on! The room was clean, and we had a undisturbed nights sleep as it was very peaceful. Two improvements would be availability to an iron and ironing board and also the bed was rock hard and super uncomfortable. Overall it was good value for money, very friendly staff in all interactions we had from the manager, bar staff? Hotel cleaners & restaurant team. Fab team around 👏

We called reservations to ask how to book a double and we were told, quite abruptly, that booking on the website would let us select a double. I suspect room 11 was the only room left when we checked in. It was musty and damp with no heating at all including a portable electric heater that was broken and no double bed.

Poor service response to our problem we gad to cut our stay by 2 nights and head back up to scotland we were told someone would be in touch still waiting for a reply. The bar service was poor 1person serving the bar and restaurant was poor.eating in the restaurant they ran,out of starters and the main meal was a 40 minute wait we have been using the hotel twice a year for the last 5years on tge plus side tge rooms are first class and so,was the breakfast. But will have to think about our future trips,

What a lovely place to stay and the food wow worth every penny . Staff polite and helpful. We was attending the horse show down the road so was in easy reach . Highly recommend it deff stay again

We loved our stay and would 100% stay again. Stayed in a family room which was very spacious especially the bathroom. The room, bedding and towels were very clean and the housekeepers came in each day. The hot drinks station was well stocked and we were given hot chocolate on request which was appreciated. There was a fan in the room which we were very pleased with especially as the weather was hot during our stay. We struggled to figure out opening the window, we didn't ask for help and was content just using the fan. We did hear the outside traffic which did disturb us a little when we were sleeping during the early morning. The food in the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. We ate an evening meal on two of the nights and couldn't fault any of the food cooked for us. We at first were put off by the prices however on reflection agreed that the prices were completely justified due to the very high quality of meals. The waiter staff in the restaurant were all friendly and professional at all times. It was only on checking out that we were made aware of the complementary drinks during breakfast for hotel guests, we would of liked to have been told this on arrival or the information included in the rooms information booklet. We weren't travelling with a dog however loved how dog friendly the hotel was and have passed this on to family and friends. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely stay again if travelling to the area in the future.

I can easily recommend this place for a break or night stay as I did. The staff was very polite and helpful, the room was clean and I was comfortable after a busy day working. I was disappointed with my stay at the Dun Cow and certainly did not feel it was value for money. The room was not exceptionally clean; the shower drain, bathroom floor and carpet were dirty too. At breakfast all 8 (yes all!) glasses were dirty. I had to ask twice for clean glasses. There were grains of dirt on them and remains of lipstick for example on the rim. Breakfast was slow and when it arrived my toast was burnt (avocado on toast). My husband asked for a poached egg but got fried. There was no water out for breakfast either.

Staff were fantastic. Asked if I could check-in early due to grandson's christening, staff member checked and we were allowed in early (Many thanks for that) Room was excellent, great size and clean. Bathroom spotless. Booked to have breakfast and I would like to say it really was a good breakfast, in all the hotels I've stayed in, either in UK or abroad, it was possibly the only time I've had a breakfast served that was hot. I will definitely be going back and using again. 10/10 to all staff

Poor room. Small. Nothing like the photo on your web site. No chair. No room for chair. Shower flooded the bathroom floor. Dirty window that didn’t open properly. Outlook, a large skip and rubbish bins. Definitely not good value for money.

Very comfortable bedroom and restaurant. Staff were all very helpful and there is a good parking area.

Very comfortable room. The staff were very friendly. There is no formal reception area. Checking in was done in the bar. I arrived during a busy lunch time. It took a while to get checked in. As my guest room was still being cleaned, I had to wait a couple of hours before I could access the room. The barman, who checked me in, did not explain access to the rooms. There needs to be clearer instructions to guests checking in on how to access the area where guest rooms are located.

It was certainly adequate for the price, the room was on the warm side, would not be able to stay in it in hotter weather or a heatwave. Windows rotten and hard to lock window when I went out. One of shower doors was broken but I could still shower. However the room was clean. the bed was very comfy and the staff very friendly. The housekeeping lady was lovely! Breakfast was was fine and was a reasonable variety.

My welcome was great, friendly and helpful. The restaurant wasn't too full and service was quick, the food good and the beer selection was varied and reasonably priced. The ambiance was very pleasant. Service was better than on my previous visit. Breakfast was excellent too.

Nice place. But certain things let it down ie accidental fire alarm at 7.45am and that there was no heating in the room whatsoever. The only reason for mentioning the above was that when I dropped My keys off the woman on the desk was making fun of it. I wasn't really amused nor did I feel that she gave two s@#&% about it. Was a lovely room and bathroom though. Just a little disappointed about customer service.

The room was very comfortable, clean & tidy. The breakfasts were great. The pub atmosphere was welcoming for a single traveller. The staff were professional and Emily was particularly friendly and helpful. The Sunday roast was amazing.

We love staying here, we have the same room every time. The staff are always so welcoming and never fail to deliver.

It was just lovely!! The manager was fantastic! We were very grateful for the coffee in the morning! Will definitely be stopping again!

The ONLY good thing was the gentleman on the reception on our last morning he was very pleasant and helpful . Everything else was a disaster

We had a lovely stay..room was lovely...shower was very temperamental...cool showers certainly wake you up!! The food was fab...I did ask twice if I could mash instead of chips and it was no problem. The staff were super friendly and very helpful.

Lovely stay managed to get keys early as was attending a wedding. Breakfast was nice. Be good to have a direct number to speak to the hotel instead of going through switch board as was trying for ages to see if we could check in earlier. Only one person serving breakfast so service was a little slow and things ran out quickly

A great and very comfortable stay. Only one small moan is that the plumbing is a bit noisy as could hear toilet and shower when in use in next room. Staff all very helpful. Would (and have already) recommend the Innkeepers Lodge to others

Our stay was very brief - arriving at 10pm and leaving early the following morning, it would have been nice to stay longer, but we just needed somewhere to sleep rather than having a holiday. However, the staff were friendly and helpful on our arrival, and the room was spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable.

Went there on the first day of opening, a table had been pre booked had to do the track and trace on arrival. Shown to our table which had been sanitized and the waitress took our order and was the same person who poured our beers and delivered it to our table. All round, first class service stuck to the rules all though a bit chilly having to sit outside so wrap up warm if the sun isn't out. Thank you Andrew and Lisa.

Stayed two night in this hotel mid July. I would rate it 5 out of 5. Good staff, good food, nice bar and good rooms.

We chose the Dun Cow for Sunday lunch because in the past it has always been good but not this time! there were 12 of us and the pub was not busy. The main courses ordered took 45 minutes to arrive but accepted this as the food has always been good. I sent my meal back almost immediately as it was almost inedible and it was replaced promptly but was no better (pork belly with crispy crackling) this was pork belly with a rubber coat and very sad veg. One of the other main courses (chicken and mushroom pie) came complete with part of a label in the pie mix. After complaining to the manager I was not charged for these two meals but sadly the damage was done for what was a special occasion and I was very disappointed. C.B.L.

Lovely old style Inn but the rooms Are very modern inside. I stayed here when working in rugby. The village of dunchurch is lovely and has a few restaurants

Room was large and very comfortable. Listed building with mod cons, would definitely recommend.

As part of a group of walkers, all in our 70s, we break our 6-8 mile hikes across fields in Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire by the inevitable lunch in a pub. Today, our choice was The Dun Cow in Dunchurch. We were not disappointed. There was unanimity in our decision the food was first rate, the choice of ales, lagers and other drinks was excellent, but the cream on the cake was the charm of the two waitresses who served us so efficiently, tolerated our 'wit' and demonstrated a sense of humour of their own. An all round 5* experience. Thank you all.

Quiet, bright and clean and room with a fantastic shower. Continental breakfast was very good too. Will definitely stay there again.

Lovely place , very clean great food

Spent a long weekend here. The staff were all friendly, polite & helpful. Our room was comfortable & spacious, clean and nicely decorated. It was a very warm weekend when we stayed so it was nice to have the courtyard area to sit outside our rooms. We ate in the restaurant each evening. Great choice on the menu and the food was delicious. Good value too. The full english breakfast was excellent. My only criticism would be the small variety of fruit at breakfast but all in all a lovely place to stay.

We've had mixed service over the years at the Dun Cow, but the last few times we've visited we've been very impressed. Always a good range of food, including vegetarian options available (I'm a fan of the fishcakes). Lots of character, always warm and cosy. Nice little courtyard to sit outside on warmer days. Dunchurch is a beautiful village and it lends itself well to it's surroundings. We visit mainly to entertain work reps, and everyone has always commented on what a lovely pub and village it is.

My family and I love this place. The family rooms are perfect as are the meals. The staff are really friendly and really helpful as well.

Room was lovely, clean (mostly apart from a cobweb hanging from the ceiling) and the bed was comfy. Shower head didn't fit in the top bracket. Breakfast was a let down, there was food on the floor from the night before and the water in the boiler by the cereals was stone cold. It was disappointing for an AA grade hotel.

Very large, modern comfortable room, incredibly clean, nice range of toiletries provided, lovely bar and restaurant area with fires, food is reasonably priced and perfectly cooked. Staff are brilliant cannot do enough for you, highly recommend The Dun Cow

I had a lovely stay here on business. Staff all friendly and food really good especially the cooked breakfast

Poor service when booking into the hotel. Had to wait 20 minutes for room keys while the bar staff served drinks. Also waited 40 minutes in the restaurant for staff to approach me and ask me if i needed food. By that time i had had enough and the fantastic fish and chip shop down the road got my custom.

Lovely room! We love it! Too bad we are staying for 1 night. Our kids said " we want to stay here forever"!

Nice, large clean rooms. Completable beds. Warm room. Quiet despite being near a busy road. Friendly, helpful staff. Good hot shower. Good selection for continental breakfast. Great pub and restaurant downstairs. Only gripe was the o2 manage free wifi. Took over an hour to connect my phone, couldn't connect the iPad at all. When connected it was roapy and slow.

Good value, quaint with all you need for a short stay. Friendly, busy pub and restaurant on site. Seems to be busy every evening with a well heeled crowd, from the local villages.
