We were delighted to stumble across Shop at the Top while in Callow end. We were very hungry after 3 hours on Malvern and I was hoping for a decent breakfast. We ordered the Full Monty and it was very good value for money and with good portions. The coffee was very tasty too and we took away two flapjacks for later (amazing). The staff were lovely, very helpful and the service was excellent. It was a very sunny day when we went so that will make a difference because we had a spot right in the sun.

I have eaten here a few times when meeting up with family or friends. The soup is very good and comes with croutons and thick sliced bread. The paninis are excellent and come with a salad and crisps. The food is plentiful, enjoyable and good value for the money. There are cakes and scones etc available too, the staff are friendly and helpful. A lovely cafe within the beautiful Gloucester Cathedral.

I would like to start by saying the food is lovley, but the waiting time is ridiculous ,we booked a table for 7.30 and we were in know rush as we were with friends. But it took 2 hours for our starters to come after a few promts to the staff, we eventually had our main course at 10.00. I'm a patient person but the wait spoilt the evening for everyone. But as I said before it was such a shame as the quality of the food was very good.

After a walk up British Fort we stopped here for a bite to eat. What a find! We ordered a sausage bap and a bacon and sausage bap and a couple of drinks. Came to just over £10 so expected the usual fist sized baps. These were the size of side plates with plenty of filling. Outstanding value. We obviously went back for afters. Apparently this establishment has been here since the 1920s and long may it continue providing excellent value snacks with friendly service and hopefully not bought out by some mega-corp franchise which would then ruin this taste of old England. I think it should be listed! Outside seating would be an issue in inclement weather but dog friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Alpaca meadows . A lovely sunny day so we were able to sit outside . A good menu choice reasonably priced we thought . Staff were all friendly and efficient food was good . After our meal we walked round to see the alpacas . All in all a very pleasant outing

Like Mark L (reviewed in January '25) This used to be our restaurant of choice. So we've been twice recently. The first time I was told that if I wanted a gluten free meal I needed to give 24 hours notice so that the kitchen could be cleaned. I had always had gluten free food when Gary and Lynda were running the restaurant , but I did as asked this time and told them well in advance that I needed gluten free food. Josh's gf fish and chips were always good and it even says on the menu that the fish and chips are gf, so no worries. I ordered the fish and chips but guess what... they are cooked in the same oils as foods containing gluten so I couldn't have that. I don't eat meat and there was no other option - so I was offered a piece of pan fried haddock with mash and peas. That sounded OK, but when I took the first bite - Oh My Goodness! there was so much salt that I could taste nothing else. my husband took a bite and agreed it was inedible. The server took the price of my meal off the bill but I still went home hungry. I won't be going there again.

Absolutely terrible service and a very rude customer service from Hanna. Constantly looking at us and discriminating against us because we are from a part of Worcester she doesn’t like. Definitely will NOT be coming back and will be advising other to stay well clear.

Called in on a recommendation, we received a very warm welcome. A very comfortable environment to relax in, the menu was good and reasonably priced. Drinks very good, the food was delicious. I had the fish and chips, I have a hearty appetite and was not disappointed in any way. The service was excellent the people waiting on were attentive, polite, friendly and very welcoming. Rest rooms (a good indication of cleanliness of an establishment) were spotlessly clean. I will return to try other dishes on the menu. Thank you Plough and Harrow 👍
