The food was enjoyable...place itself a little bit shabby...staff friendly...

Did not eat a meal as stopping over in Motorhome. Great atmosphere for a drink. Friendly staff. Great place to meet with friends.

Plenty of parking and a very well presented pub/restaurant. Car park was clean and tidy and the outside of the pub very welcoming. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our table, which was booked in advance. Drinks order was taken quickly and they were promptly delivered. Great menu choices at very reasonable prices. Our food arrived in good time, lovely and warm and tasted great. Portion sizes were good for the money. We were very impressed by our dining experience and the staff made it all the better by being so friendly and helpful.

A lovely place for families, 2nd time we have visited and it's been brilliant. Kids enjoy the meals and portions are just right and the staff are great with kids! As we were passing on the m5 today, the Crown stood in out memory as somewhere for lunch and didn't regret it!

Good food good service and reasonably priced

Popped in for a late lunch on Saturday, and managed to get a table straight away. Menu has plenty of choice, and reasonably priced. Our food arrived quickly and was very nice. Great service also. Thank you all.

Cold in conservatory not ask if meal ok whilst eating . Red sauce bottle filthy on table not that we used it table sticky . Looks like need good hygiene training

Lovely friendly staff but food wasn't the best chips were dry and not piping hot but staff took some money off bill

service was slow because there were only two staff present and the restaurant was quite busy, had to ask the staff for my desert however the food was wholesome and hot and the staff were pleasant, I inadvertantly left a 1* review and this is an edit of that review.

Booking was simple and easy online. Service was good not too fast. Food was delicious really.enjoyed the doner kebab and gammon dishes.

Marstons pub . No problem with any of the food.

Great service. Feel the menu is very samey ie. I could walk into most pubs and find v similar menu options...a more varied menu might help to differentiate you from the competition

I haven't been out for food in a very long time due to Anxiety. First time out in around 8 years and it was fantastic. Lovely and quiet also which I found fabulous. The food was beautiful and very pleased that I didn't have to pay for my water. Lovely pub and very friendly people. Would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone 👍 Thank you.

Dropped in for a meal on the way to Worcester, so glad we did. Made to feel welcome immediately, staff could not do enough to make our visit pleasant. The drinks were excellent and good value and the meal was perfect, portions were generous. We will be returning again.

Desperate for food at 3pm and got full menu and excellent service including chocolate fudge cake (not sold out!) - happy to go there again any time!

Steak was more gristle than steak

We just poped in for a drink. Disappointing. This place is obviously not interested in the outdoor trade. Garden area very disappointing. Much nicer places to go on a nice sunny day.

Well I won’t be returning here staff don’t no how to smile door wasn’t even open the food wasn’t great and the pudding was even worse ordered fudge cake warm with ice cream it came out burnt !!!! Politely returned it and asked for it to be changed for it to come back there you go no oh here we are sorry about that nothing , customer service skills zero if you can’t be polite to customers your in the wrong job . The pudding came back cold !!!! Oh and to add the place is dirty !!!!

Pub in need of a bit of a spruce up . The food was lovely and for a good price. The staff were welcoming.

Me and my family went to the crown for a Sunday lunch, the pub has a welcoming atmosphere, the management and staff I found to be very friendly, and helpful children and dogs 🐕 very welcome, the Sunday lunch was extremely good, home made roast potatoes always a positive for me, my son loved the little play area out front, we will definitely 100% be going back, thankyou to the management and staff, for making us feel welcome xxx

Waited to be welcomed, stood for 10mins, totally ignored. 4 adults and a child for food and drinks. Went to the Harvester, great service, won’t be returning to the crown, don’t want the business.

Lovely service from all staff encountered. We had people stuck in traffic so happy to delay arrival by half hour when phoned. Accommodating of GF diet and felt confident meal was prepared safely. Helped with surprise bringing birthday cake out as well as keeping it cool on hottest day of year. We were also allowed to decorate area before birthday girls arrival. Food was well received by everyone, freshly cooked , enjoyable and we were not rushed. Lovely evening a;; round and will be returning again.

Took my mother in law for a birthday meal for her 80th, wonderful calm atmosphere great food and the best hosts, even being kind enough to take a family photograph.Can't recommend highly enough.

Popped in for dinner last night. Had a gorgeous meal served by Sam and Poppy who were really friendly and welcoming. Food was great and well priced. We will definitely be back

Employees were super friendly and lovely but food wasn't great. Some of my chips were old and chewy and my partner's burger pattys were hard. The place needs a revamp but that always seems the case with these places

Service in general good. Both Roast dinners were terrible. Clearly reheated. Dry and chewy turkey, hard roast potatoes. Cold veg. No pigs in blankets which we weren’t told at time of ordering. When we questioned he said they had ran out.

Awful service. Cold food, then the chips arrived cold again after replacement, told them again and took over 10 minutes to bring out whilst my other food was going cold. Would not recommend staff were polite but the service is not.

New chef called Ricky aswell as new management. Food was lovely! Best meal we've had here in a very long time. Onion rings also tasted the best I've ever had. Steaks were cooked well and very tasty. Positive comments were made to the chef on our visit.

Our server was really friendly and really helpful. A positive experience from start to finish. The NGCI menu was really extensive with loads of amazing choices for desserts which was wonderful. The toilets were clean. A lovely evening!

Read reviews and they all seemed the place had improved, unfortunately it hasn't. The place looks dark, dirty and run down. The only Sunday lunch option was turkey or vegetarian. Husband ordered steak medium/rare, it was overcooked. Rest of the food order was average. Would give it a miss in future.

A dear friend lost a much loved pet that day and we wanted to celebrate her, we were given a quiet table in the corner as requested. Service was kind and respectful, we had a wonderful evening and were very pleased with the food and how kind the staff were. We also noticed that the large table near us was the last to be filled which means we had a very private celebration, thank you. We will be back.

Called in this pub for tea as we we're in malverne overnight for the flower show. The pub wasn't busy but it was pleasant. The chap behind the bar was lovely. He had excellent customer service skills. Very polite and attentive. The food was nice. We both ordered a kebab, mine was chicken and my friend ordered doner kebab. Both were really nice and well presented and plentiful. We had a nice pleasant evening.

Booked for four for Sunday dinner after reading the ok latest very positive reviews, what a let down.Unfortunately when we arrived we were informed that the only choice available was Turkey or Vegetarian, not great, anyway decided against a roast and ordered from the menu, I ordered 8oz steak, medium rare, it duly arrived, was very tough and overcooked. Not great, ended up swapping for scampi, very underwhelmed with quality of the food with peas so hard that you could have fired from a gun. Very poor will not be going back.

The food was some of the best value and taste I’ve had in a long while.Staff where very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome this is what I call a proper country pub which I will definitely be going back to

Me and the mrs stopped here on way back from Malvern and we was pleasantly surprised as we used to go there a lot years ago and it went down hill but now it has been taken over by new management they have really turned it around we was only stopping for a drink but when sat inside seeing the food we decided to order I had a burger which I must admit was very very good and price was good too and mrs had the salt and pepper kebab she absolutely loved it of course I had a cheaply couple of mouthfuls of her to try it and I agree it was very tasty well done new owners we shall be returning

We booked online a table, which was easy to do. When we got to the pub, there were glasses on the outside tables, that had been collecting water from the rain which we had had in the morning still there. Once inside, no one was about for about 10 mins, couldn’t find our booking, but em told wasn’t a problem as it wasn’t busy. Took to a sticky table, our waitress was very nice, ( chewing gum once taking our order) not really a problem but for some it would have been. She did make a fuss with our son, when my food came out, the rocket salad well that looked like someone had mangled it together into a ball. ( wouldn’t give my rabbit) food was ok, but we’re not going to rush back.

Two decent Sunday lunches and a good burger. Enjoyed a nice pint of Wainwright’s Gold that the friendly and knowledgeable barman said was new on the bar but selling well. Nice to see families with dogs made to feel welcome.

Ordered a jacket potato, dry and overcooked. Took forever to receive our order. . No one never asked how are food was, if we needed anything and never came to check on us or anyone else in the restaurant. My daughters food was cold. Won’t be going back.

Amazing food, there was a bet with our group on who could eat the mega mixed grill, we wasn't expecting it to be as big as it was, it was huge, and the food was cooked to perfection, thank you to all the staff very polite and helpful 😀

Had a great get together with family here. In total there was 14 of us. Including 4 small children. Not a problem for our hosts, all meals came out within minutes of first to last, nothing forgotten or wrong. It makes dining out so much less stressful when orders are taken and delivered as requested,. Thank you. Food was excellent no one had anything bad to say about any of it,another rarity. Thank you to the staff for this day it was really appreciated, we will definitely be back, and there could be more of us!! Hahaha

Lovely polite staff, we ordered at the bar due to the quiz, food arrived promptly, hot and was lovely. The only little complaint we had was the kids roast dinner the stuffing ball was over cooked it was solid couldn’t cut it, picked it up and tried biting and we couldn’t. The atmosphere was lovely. Stopped visiting for a while then noticed new management. Staff were very attentive and food was spot on. Well presented and tasty. Sunday lunch was very good.

Everytime we visit we have a good experience. Staff were really lovely, and they had to deal with someone vandalising their table and both members of staff we witnessed speak with the customer dealt with it amazingly. Such a shame people working in customer service have to deal with this kind of behaviour.

A nice place. We were in early afternoon for lunch. Found a seat that was available . It was waitress service which was prompt and polite. Two lovely meals, Hunters chicken with chips and salad garnish and a Hotdog with fries and kebab meat topper. Really nice and hot food, 2 pints of lager,pint of Pedigree and a pepsi max, the bill came to £35. Super food, super service, wholly recommend it. Thanks

We weren't very impressed, waited over 20 mins for meal and when we did get our meal it wasn't hot it was just like warm as if it had been standing for a long time,the plates were stone cold, nothing was wrong with the food it was just not very appetising when it's nearly cold, it would of helped if there was more waiting staff, as it wasn't over busy.

On our way to Lincoln for a football match and we needed a little food. So we saw this pub on the way and we definitely made the right decision lovely food and drink and the ladies behind the bar were extremely helpful and next time we are heading north from Cardiff we know where to stop for food. Went for lunch. The service was excellent and the food was good. Not busy and our food arrived quickly. My only minor criticism is that the piece of greaseproof paper under my burger was unnecessary and there was a risk of eating some of it.

Visited for Sunday lunch-weekend before lockdown.Service very poor/slow approx. 45mins. order to service. People seated after me were served before.Food mediocre-mostly microwaved -beef wafer thin -no taste.Did not order dessert-could not chance another lengthy wait. 30%off Mains arrived 12 Feb.Reservation made for two persons for 19.30 on 25 Feb.Arrived on time,front desk deserted,searched around for staff but located only two busy barmaids serving the two lengthy queues (8/10 customers) at each end of the bar. Joined queues separately. Eventually one barmaid directed us to a table in the conservatory. After some more delay she returned to take our order. Upon giving our selection we were informed that no meat was available(some problems with the fridge?) and the only items on offer were fish or chicken&mushroom pie. The barmaid departed but in the interval we checked with the five customers on the next table for their opinion of the pie - they were not favourably impressed - one found it repulsive. Furthermore,we found the table surface tacky with grease(it had only been wiped-many times and not cleaned)We checked other tables and found a similar result.Also the carpet was grubby with tramped-in food spills. We walked out. A very enjoyable meal was taken later that evening at Timberdine Harvester. It is highly unlikely that we will be visiting the Crown again.

We were a little disappointed to find out that there were no steaks or fish available when we were sat at our table. However we were not disappointed with the food we chose. The staff were all friendly and we received our food quite quickly.

The service was ready quickly, the staff were polite. The food was nice and the atmosphere was quiet so nice for a conversation.

Booked a table for 10 for a birthday celebration. On booking in were told there was no steak or fish. After seating were told no beefburgers or steak pie. After ordering meals and waiting was told the vegeburger ordered was no longer available so was substituted for vege curry which was not enjoyed. The child's meal arrived with peas instead of beans as ordered and was sent back. The meals were small, unappealing and some were not hot. Then when we tried to order more drinks we were told they had no tonic water. We will not be returning or recommending the Crown

Surprisingly good value and a wide choice of menu staff lovely and welcoming. It has a nice family friendly atmosphere and is also dogs friendly 🐕

Ordered 2 different soups and both were cold. We returned them and were served hotter soups but tiny amounts. The rest of the meal was fine. Salad was good also the pudding. We had a refund for the 2 soups. The staff serving were very pleasant and polite.

AVOID!! 7 of us. Food was of extremely low quality and overpriced! Aged steaks were so tough the steak knife wouldn’t cut. The macaroni tasted like it was out of a tin and blasted in the microwave. Very disappointed and won’t be going again.

Always a lovely meal at this pub. We are regulars at the Steak Thursday & are made to feel very welcome by the great staff Ben & Molly. Never a bad meal, always a good atmosphere & comfy, traditional surroundings. Welcome Jack & Chelsea the new owners.
