The best restaurants serving British food in Powick Malvern Hills West Midlands

Held my moms wake here. Can only say that the cold buffet which was ordered at £8.50 per head was far from expected. The bare minimum was served. Buffet consisted of a few sandwiches, cocktail sausages, black charred sausage rolls , chicken satays, some butterfly cakes and a lemon tart of some type. When staff were told about the sausage rolls and the fact I was not happy with the buffet the manager was nowhere to be seen. Eventually a refund of £10 appeared. Also the Guinness did not taste the best. Would not recommend this place to anyone wishing to order a buffet !!

Like Mark L (reviewed in January '25) This used to be our restaurant of choice. So we've been twice recently. The first time I was told that if I wanted a gluten free meal I needed to give 24 hours notice so that the kitchen could be cleaned. I had always had gluten free food when Gary and Lynda were running the restaurant , but I did as asked this time and told them well in advance that I needed gluten free food. Josh's gf fish and chips were always good and it even says on the menu that the fish and chips are gf, so no worries. I ordered the fish and chips but guess what... they are cooked in the same oils as foods containing gluten so I couldn't have that. I don't eat meat and there was no other option - so I was offered a piece of pan fried haddock with mash and peas. That sounded OK, but when I took the first bite - Oh My Goodness! there was so much salt that I could taste nothing else. my husband took a bite and agreed it was inedible. The server took the price of my meal off the bill but I still went home hungry. I won't be going there again.

Brilliant pub just outside Worcester-Worcestershire family run it and mum who’s apart of pub staff but lovely and warm and very welcoming to everyone ❤️

Absolutely terrible service and a very rude customer service from Hanna. Constantly looking at us and discriminating against us because we are from a part of Worcester she doesn’t like. Definitely will NOT be coming back and will be advising other to stay well clear.

Very polite staff and the food is exceptional.

We went for food, we were not disappointed. Nice menu plenty of choice, all home made, came out piping hot, we were all very impressed with our meals, decent portion sizes tasted amazing, reasonably priced, offer on during the week for meals, most deffinatly compliments to the chef. We will be visiting again when we are down that way. Well worth a visit.

Halfway House B & B is conveniently situated between Worcester and Great Malvern. Our room was clean and spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. Bottles of water were also available. The host was friendly and served a great breakfast.
