The best restaurants in Needwood East Staffordshire West Midlands

Stumbled across this place recently whilst doing the Melbourne arts trail. Its easy to miss but well worth a visit if you're a fan of tea and cake !. Being gluten free I am used to cafes offering one / two options, but tea at three had five or six (spoilt for choice - all looked delicious !), plus probably a dozen other non GF options to tempt you. The coffee was good too. They have a small seating area indoors and more seating in the courtyard outside. I will be back next time I am in Melbourne - many thanks !.

Stop for a coffee few weeks ago . Great coffee with whipped cream float . We also ate a well prepared sandwich & croissant . Before we left we bought a box of the gorgeous chocolates , nicely boxed with a bow .grest for gifts . Been few times now . Highly recommend great staff very friendly !

⭐️⭐️⭐️Wow, wow, wow!!⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely perfect pub, from the warm welcome good wine and fantastic food…we are so fortunate to have this treasure on our doorstep!… check out the steak deal on a Tuesday evening absolutely delicious… cooked to just how you like it … and the staff couldn’t do enough for you! Well worth a visit of local or travelling around the area. X

Little gem of a pub with restaurant. Food excellent, as well as service. Best to book to guarantee a table. Good choice of dishes for every course

The curries are fantastic, full of flavour the chicken was very fresh. The delivery service to Wychnor was no problem. Would highly recommend this place for an Indian if your in the area.

We visit the Thai at Barton regularly. The food is always very tasty and the service is always very friendly and efficient. The marina itself is a lovely area. Always a lovely experience and fair value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.

Broke our journey up the M6 with an overnight stop at the Barbon Inn. Couldn't have wished for more. Comfortable rooms, good sleep, excellent food, and great hospitality. We would be very happy to return!!

We were so looking forward to our breakfast and then unbeknown to us, the restaurant was inundated with dogs. It is not made clear on the website that this is a dog friendly restaurant or I would not have booked as one of us is allergic to dog hair. Such a shame. The dog area should be separate. Not the dining experience we all want to share. Never got to taste my eggs benedict. 😔

Absolutely cracking pint of Pedigree. They're dog friendly. Not tried the food but looks very nice. Thursday night is quiz night. Overall out of 5 I'd would have given it a 6 . Will be going again. Need to try the food !

Fantastic to have this cinema showing National Theatre productions so local.Warm reception great selection of drinks and free water available

This pub is such a find stayed on a pass through and was not disappointed. Cobs warm scratchings real ale and a selection of board games what more do you need. Service was excellent and friendly

Very convenient being situated right next to the Travelodge we stayed in for the night. Coffees lovely. Staff friendly. The only point I was disappointed with was the cleanliness. The long seats were completely covered in crumbs, hairs and dirt, which I had to brush off. Tables dirty. Floor covered in food. The staff were standing around and we were one of only 3 couples and no others customers present so it wasn’t clear as to why cleanliness wasn’t being kept up to a higher standard. This doesn’t detract from their warm welcome but sitting on a clean chair and at a clean table would’ve been nice. We would however return and hope that this was an isolated case.

We have left 1 star rating as we are unable to leave none . We went to the waterfront this morning for breakfast as we do regularly, the quality has been hit or miss throughout we have never complained because it is reflected in the price . Today we requested a breeze hut as we had our dog with us , we were told to go into hut 1 . As we proceeded to go to hut 1 a member of staff moved us to hut 2 , I mentioned twice to let staff inside know as our order was for hut 1 and she assured me she would do so . After a very lengthy wait our drinks and food had gone to hut 1 ????? No heartfelt apology was made to us despite the staff member by her own admission said she hadn’t told staff about the move of huts . We were on a time restriction due to a hospital appointment in Leicester, so couldn’t wait any longer . Another lengthy wait at the till for a refund because she couldn’t operate the till . Attitude of staff the really DIDNT CARE ! Won’t be returning
