The best restaurants in Needwood East Staffordshire West Midlands

We visited The Apple Tree Coffee Lounge on March 24th and were warmly greeted by cheerful, smiling staff as soon as we walked in , such a lovely first impression! We ordered two slices of Jammy Dodger cake, a fruit scone, and two flat whites, then headed outside to relax in their lovely outdoor dining area. Our order arrived in about 10 minutes, which gave us just enough time to soak in the peaceful vibe. The cake was absolutely beautiful, soft, moist, and full of flavor. Walked into this bustling pub to catch up with a few friends. The staff promptly sat us down at a table. There are so many great food options to choose from, accommodating pretty much anyone. We were made aware of a wait as the pub was evidently busy but the food was so worth the wait. We were well attended to making sure our glasses were full and we were ok which I thought was lovely. Steak and ale pie, chips and the lasagnas to die for. Couldn’t leave without having a sweet and the crumble of the day was just incredible. All in all a lovely pub with great atmosphere and staff, we can’t wait to go back.

I only popped in here for a pint during a bike ride from Wychnor where I had moored my canal boat so I can't comment on the food. What I can say is that they have an excellent range of keg beers and real ales, there's a lovely welcoming and warm atmosphere from other customers and the staff are efficient. This is in sharp contrast to one of the other village pubs I know where strangers are not made particularly welcome and there's a very limited range of beers. Award yourself 10 points if you can nane the culprit!

Made the mistake of stopping for food here .went for the medium breakfast oh dear .no wonder its deserted .dirty tables .dirty cutlery .cold food .burnt bacon .cold beans lukewarm tomatoes .fried egg looked like it died in a fire.absolutely appalling and they charge £34 to park overnight .unbelievable.the mankiest shower and toilets ive ever seen and there outside .appalling state of affairs .minus 5

Not only is the food good value for money, the staff are also friendly and its a great location at the waters edge. Can be busy at peak times, but worth the wait.

Well what can I say?!! There's no one on site. No hot food. WiFi, security, shop here. Yes there's a toilet but I didn't want to damage my mental health with the pptential horror of what I would find...it was after all a shared male and female toilet and shower. They have the audacity to still charge for parking when you get none of the facilities they advertise! Safe to say I wont fo back there
