Barton Marina Cafe in East Staffordshire

And so a lovely cafe that welcomes families with children on a very hot day. The staff were superb. They were welcoming and friendly. Value was outstanding. Should we visit again we will certainly go to this lovely family-friendly cafe. Thank you for making us feel welcome after our awful experience at the place nearby. We are very grateful.

Took my 87 year old mother in here for lunch on a very hot day. I was carrying a water bottle with me,always order food AND drinks and was barked at by a very rude staff member for having a water bottlewith me. Disgusting attitude. It upset my mum who has Al,heifers so not great for me either. We walked out and will not go back again.Despite several prior visits

The man who was working on Sunday was very rude, obnoxious, and really loud. We purchased drinks in the cafe and sat outside on the benches and he refused to let us sit there.

Absolutely terrible staff ,so rude and the tea and coffee were so cold , the variety of food is so limited as well .

The chef/cook was ok but the other 2 assistants had a terrible attitude. The all day breakfast is too big for us & we would have appreciated a smaller version. We did however order food & the bacon & sausage was under cooked. When we asked for them to be cooked more the one waitress said ‘well you didn’t ask for it well cooked!’ What an attitude. The older woman taking the orders also had a poor attitude. We won’t be going there again. We have been many times & have always noticed the waitresses have a poor attitude.

Although not everything on the menu was available, the food was very good. Freshly cooked in front of us, hot and good quality. Plenty of choice including drinks. Friendly service and lovely hot plates. Extremely good value for money, clean, roomy and outside seating available

Visited Mother’s Day for breakfast. Service to order very very slow. Ordered 2 cooked breakfasts latte bottle water nearly £17 Water was perfect 🤣 Latte heaped desert spoon of instant latte I thought this is not going to be good but it was “ok” Toast was very very thin and half burnt Breakfast well… sausages were very thin and anaemic looking, bacon was thin and so fatty hardly anything to eat. Plum tomatoes were good. Beans tasted like they’d been reheated a few times, couldn’t choose how to have egg was fried or nothing. This was ok. Didn’t have black pudding. The brown sauce was the most disgusting thing I’ve tasted 🤢 Won’t be rushing back !

Called in for the first and last time Sunday. Made us feel terrible. 2 coffees and bacon sandwiches. Fatty under cooked bacon on thin bread. Staff stressed and rude. Never again. Much better coffee shops at the

We went for a family trip out after being recommended the marina. My partner and son had some average cake and our lattes were nice until you got to the gritty bit near the end. Only half cleared out table of the previous customers. Really disappointed and won't be returning. We ended up going down the marina to the appletreer cafe and having some brilliant gluten free food and excellent customer service

Very bad experience at this cafe ordered our food waited half an hour still no food went to see where it was and a member of staff said oh dear I don't know where she's gone ? Who ? Got a refund I wouldn't of minded but they only had a few customers will not be going there again 😡

Arrived at 11.31, tried to order at 11.32 to be rudely told ‘not serving breakfast anymore’ ( only served till 11.30 apparently ) despite menus still on tables. Staff were rude, commenting ‘if you don’t like it, come earlier’ under their breath. You get one chance at a first impression - you failed!

Great little cafe ideal for a well prepared snack after a nice walk around the lakes nearby.The sandwiches were freshly prepared and the BLT didn’t have a lot of fat left on just how I like it.

I booked here for Mothering Sunday for four People to have Afternoon Tea. Only having eat here once before, I did not know what it would be like. I just want to say that we was very impressed. For the amount that we paid, we received so much food. For four of us, there was two large trays of mixed Sandwiches, Mini Sausage Rolls, roughly three each, a large slice of Quiche Each. A selection of Macaroons, two x small Pafatarolls each, a large Scone each with Clotted Cream, Butter and Jam then Tea to drink. I paid extra and made two of the Afternoon Teas Celebration so that would include a glass of Sparkling Wine. This was also nice. We have been here twice now, and both times Barton Marina Cafe has impressed us. We shall be back again. I also enjoyed talking to Zoe, and I would definitely say she has amazing Cusromer Service Skills. Same as all of the Staff that was working today. I mentioned to Zoe that I am a Youtuber. My Channel is New Era Tourism and Events. I was not recording today with it being Mothering Sunday, but I am happy to come back at some point. My area is being a Disability, Tourism, Hospitality and Events Vlogger. If I was doing the Vlogg today, I would definetely say that Barton Marina is Disability Friendly. You have Disabled Parking right near the Door, the Doorway is clear and even with no steps to climb, Menu is easy to read. Toilets are easy to get to. You also have Showers available. Yes, available for the Morrings only, but would you consider these to also be available for Disability? The only area that would need addressing is would a disabled person need to queue up to be served or their Carer, leaving the Disabled person in the process?

After a trip to Barton marina on Sunday with family, my wife and I popped by the barton marina cafè. I can't comment on the food as we only popped in for a cup of tea. Its a lovely little cafe unfortunately the staff however...

Great value for money compared to all the other places on the María. The 2 girls are also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

A little disappointed with the Marina Cafe food, didn’t get what it says on the menu! All sandwiches etc. should have had a side salad and crisps - received nothing, when this was mentioned to the waitress, nothing was really said. Not a big deal...

We came here for my mum's 60th during covid-19 and sat outside in the huts. We loved our visit, the hut was really nice, creating a good atmosphere, the food was delicious and we felt the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend for any occassion.

The staff here are really friendly and helpful, with some great recommendations. The cheese and onion pasty was delicious, in a classic cornish style which was perfect for the rainy weather. The cakes..... WOW. Generous serving sizes and really tasty cake make for a solid...

We went here for breakfast. The staff was so helpful. One of our party has an egg allergy and they were very accommodating and did her a adapted breakfast. The food was excellent. Would definitely recommend and visit here again.

Have now visited twice on a Sunday for breakfast and both visits were excellent. Food is cooked fresh and hot. Covid safety precautions excellent. My only complaint would be better quality sausages - which let the meal down a little. But definately will go back

Called here on many occasions for a Full English Breakfast. Always up to standard, food cooked fresh and served piping hot. Staff are always friendly and very helpful.
