Starbucks - Uttoxeter in East Staffordshire

Experience in the EG Starbucks franchise =gl good The main EuroGarages facility at Uttoxeter Services now has better toilets - maybe in response to a previous post?😉

This place usually struggles to notice mobile orders coming through, but the past couple of times even the coffee tastes awful, like something hasn’t been cleaned properly or they’re using coffee that’s gone stale

Absolutely dreadful . The girls were just not interested. No smile , no greeting downright rude . The toilet floor was swimming in water both in the ladies and the disabled. What we paid for 1 coffee 1 tea and 2 bits of flapjack was day light robbery. We won’t be going again .

Grubby and tired. The toilets were dirty and the food / service lacklustre. Not a patch on most other coffee chain stores. Find somewhere else to eat

Great staff, good coffee, my problem was the disgraceful gents toilet.. The urinal is next to the opening door facing out, the door opens onto the person using ot with no screen.. so as the ladies are queuing for their toilet, as the gents door is opened anyone using the urinal is on full display..totally inappropriate and no dignity at all...for shame starbucks..modernised with zero thought..

Staff are lovely and very friendly However it is a new shop and they need systems and to get organised. Our drinks were made one at a time and people who ordered after us were served first . By the time we got the third drink out of an order for 4 people the first drink was lukewarm. However the staff did apologise and made the drink again

Good coffee and selection of drinks but essentially all overpriced for what they are!

Good coffee and cakes, but, the staff can make or break it, they made it.

Didn't put the right lid on my coffee. And the women's and the disabled toilets were out of order.

It was fine. Drinks took a while even tho it seemed quiet. Our drinks order wasn’t even correct which was annoying but we had to shoot off

Call here fairly regularly and the flat white coffee has always been good. However. today was rather different. The first coffee obtained via the drive through was returned as it tasted awful. The assistant was very apologetic and used an alternative machine, also asked if I wanted to taste, but I declined not wanting to make a fuss. On returning to the car we both thought the coffee tasted just as awful as the first - very bitter, so we threw it away. The person serving today really needs to learn how to make a flat white and should undergo additional training.

Forgot to give us the cake we paid for , so had to go back to tell them when we realized it was missing.

Passable coffee but staff looking bored and lifeless. Lots of dirty plates and cups lying around making the place look dirty and and untidy.

Lost business because toilets were closed, ah well at least Greggs got a sale

I must have needed a coffee fix. Don't even remember the place it was obviously so boring.

Ordered 2 drinks via the app got to the collection point and told they can’t do them drinks so we were offered 2 more and both were very disappointing sent one back but then couldn’t be bothered to send other one back we just wanted our drinks and go over all disappointed but not in the service tho I thought that was good

Small Starbucks with drive-through and toilets. Standard selection of cakes and drinks. Friendly staff.

I wish I was a mystery shopper! Starbucks you really need to get this place stored it is diabolical. Obviously not needing repeat business here and just relying on passing trade. The place is filthy. The staff really need a kick up the backside and need a lesson on personal presentation when working in a food serving business - I will not say anymore on that otherwise it becomes too personal. Regarding the coffee- this was OK the cake was very dry - maybe at least a day old. For the prices charged definitely expect better!!! Let me know if you need a Mystery Shopper because that is the only way I will make a return visit PS Ladies loos out of order - sign saying used the Disabled loo

A much improved Starbucks drive thru franchise operated by EG Group. Very clean and tidy with plenty of space to sit and relax when taking a break from driving. Plenty of car parking onsite and a drive thru option is also available.

Went for a drink once and staff weren’t rude but neither were they polite. Last two times I have come here through the drive through at 7pm and they have been closed both times when it says they shut at 8:30pm. Ridiculous being a service station

Regularly stop here on our way past. Sophie was very friendly and polite, working hard taking orders and quickly clearing tables too. Had a great fresh cinnamon swirl and Jess made the best latte I’ve had at a Starbucks for a long time! Well done!

Actually very polite & helpful staff even though they were very busy

I'm consistently disappointed with this place. According to Google, they close at 08:30 pm, but they stop serving Frappucinos well before 7 pm. Despite frequent visits around 7 pm, I'm always denied a Frappucino, which my children and I eagerly anticipate during our long journeys. While the facilities are clean and the staff friendly, it's disheartening to continuously let my children down.

Nice place massively inappropriate urinal placement in the men's bathroom. I hope you enjoy flashing disabled people evertime someone walks through the door. See attached photo)

Absolute simpletons working her the stupid girl tried to close the toilet 2 hours before the shop shut because she had cleaned them and didn't want people using them one of the worst Starbucks I have ever been to

By far one of the best Starbucks around! Never ever burns the coffee always the next coffee and served with a smile!

Good for a quick stop when passing. Was clean & tidy at 9.30am can getting more messy later on. Coffee & snacks always good. Ladies toilet out of the order wasn't good, disabled toilet out of toilet roll so did what the sign on the door said & used the petrol station toilet!

By far the worst experience encountered. Confirming the order should be something you do as a standard procedure when the drink order is specifically soy milk due to an allergy, order taker sounded as if she didn’t want to be taking orders and just plain rude. Dt window was kept shut until drinks were ready and no communication when repoened, just held the card reader out. As soon as drinks were handed out the window was slammed shut even though a van was behind me.

The place is freezing, no heating!

We have just returned home from an awful trip to this Starbucks. On entering at 4.30pm on a Saturday, a member of staff was sweeping the floor and stacking chairs up in the middle row of tables?! ( we believe this cafe is open until 7.30pm?!) so why are they clearing up already?? My daughter needed to use the toilet, 2 out of the 3 toilets were out of order, luckily the Ladies was open. I then ordered 2 teas, a hot chocolate and a slice of cake. I waited at the end of the counter and was handed 3 drinks in cardboard cups?, I waited for the cake & that arrived in a paper bag?! I asked her why have we not been given a plate or pottery cups and she told me that the dishwasher was not working today…..I would have really appreciated knowing this before ordering. I then returned back to the counter & asked for a fork for the cake & I was handed a wooden fork. Whilst having our refreshments I felt disappointed about all of the above bearing in mind my bill cost almost £15. After finishing I went up to the counter and asked 1 if the staff members whether I have been charged full price or takeaway prices…..she replied “ I don’t know?” . I told her that we weren’t happy the fact that we weren’t told before we ordered that we could only have paper cups, bag & wooden cutlery to use, She snapped back at me “it’s not our fault that the dishwasher isn’t working today”!! She was obviously not happy and I just walked away from the counter & definitely won’t be returning!! After reading other reviews before writing mine, it’s obviously quite a regular occurrence customers being dissatisfied with the customer service, cleanliness & the general running of this establishment. Avoid here if you can……don’t waste your well earned money 👎.

Large Starbucks, lots of seating, great space for a small meeting and lovely food and coffee too !

Went this evening and saw the staff locking up 1.5 hours before the advertised closing time and getting into there cars with many drinks

Tables and chairs needed a good clean. Lots of empty cups and plates around even though it wasn't too busy.

The service was poor,I was given the wrong drink.our table still had the last person's litter on it and wasn't cleaned for the whole time we were there .our drinks came in a card cup and the food came in paper bags .very overpriced too

Rude, ignorant staff, we stood waiting at the till for 15 minutes and were ignored by 3 staff members. Left without ordering our coffees/cake and won’t be returning.

I’ve never encountered such rude staff and I only went through the drive through. I was greeted by an extremely rude lady who simply started the conversation with just “what can I get you?”. No hello or welcome to Starbucks. No eye contact upon presenting to the window. No thank you after payment and no communication when or after handing me my drink - which was extremely hot and came handed to me without the cardboard wrapped around. I usually frequent the Wolstanton branch but due to convenience and time of day, I visited this brand. First and last time that’s for sure!

Opening times incorrect, arrived a few times early 5.50am /6am and not open.

Toilets - a bit grim No dogs allowed. Standard Starbucks stuff done averagely There are other alternatives at this services.

Hardly any chicken in Caesar Wrap. Tables dirty. Staff stood chatting rather than clean table tops. Bases of tables looked like they were never cleaned.

at 7:20 p.m. there is no coconut milk for coffee because it has run out. The manager cannot take care of the stock of the product, the manager should be fired. At 7:22 p.m. the staff closed the cafes, the end of sales, even though the official closing time was 8:30 p.m. Staff to be dismissed. The level of service in this network is getting worse. and prices higher. I do not recommend Starbucks Uttoxeter Service.

Ignore the bad reviews - this is a good Starbucks. Clean and light, normal speed service, order was accurate (despite asking for a few variations to my drink) and wide selection of food. Visited at 9am on a Saturday.

Got to Starbucks this morning around 5:34 waited at the intercom for about 5 minutes, nobody answered, went to the window and nobody came left before anyone came due to me needed to get to work, don’t advertise to be open so early if people aren’t going to be manning (fyi inside was empty 0 customers)

Nice and friendly staff. Always willing to go out of their way to assist you. Good menu, and a good selection.

Almost empty but stood a while allowing staff to have a chat. The male toilet is disgusting, brown stuff over a lot of it and no toilet seat…the only toilet…

Great stop for coffee. Bright and airy, Pleasent staff. Car park exit confusing but not their fault.

It's a convenient place to stop when we're on our way to Stoke, but it wouldn't be my first choice. There's never more than half a dozen people in at any one time and rarely are the tables cleared and cleaned even though they are not busy. There's usually at least one toilet out of action.

Service very slow no manners Order completely wrong Asked for decaf latte semi skimmed and a normal milk caramel latte Completely mixed the order up. Rude when I took the order back. Put my original order in only for the customer behind me to get their order before me. Avoid this Starbucks at all cost

330pm 20 Aug 2023. I came in wanting an iced drink.I started with a hibiscus iced tea to which the male server said no don't have it. Then I tried a Strawberry Acai refresher. No don't have that either. hen I tried the frappucino menu, asking for a white chocolate frap. No out of that. Then I said what do you have that's iced or frozen? Stops to ask someone on his headset. All we have iced is a regular or mocha frap or green tea and peach iced teas. But he would've let me go down the list before offering me that answer. Clearly this young man didn't want to be there. The worst Starbucks in the US is ten times better than this experience.

Never ever has ingredients for drinks, always have to choose something else.

Do something and train the staff properly. It's the second time when I order a mocha and I receive it with almost no coffee just milk inside. Also no vegan cream available.

It's a Starbucks, and it's alright. Just what you need on the trip home

Used this venue for a business meeting, but never again. Parked in the adjacent car park and got hit with a £100 parking fine for staying just over 2 hours, (£60 if paid within 14 days). If you intend to have a relaxing drink or snack forget this place, you'll be watching the clock to make sure you exit the car park less than 2 hours after entering! If you slip up and leave the parking area 2 minutes late you can add £60 to your bill!

We go to this starbucks everyday, we find it a wonderful relaxing place with fun and happy staff,our drinks are always perfect, tables are cleared regularly always going above and beyond especially jess who makes every visit a happy one.

Tables dirty. Bathroom dirty. No action when informed no toilet roll. Indignant staff chatting to each other not addressing customers. Food horrible.

The regular staff make this branch special. Friendly, cheerful, and helpful. We regularly get our favourite coffees here.

Always a problem at this Starbucks!!! Either only cash when they changed their policy months ago to card only. Coffee machine breaks down. If a certain member of staff is on the drive through is constantly shut. Overall not the Starbucks experience we’re used to.

Uttoxeter Starbucks. Wonderful wonderful place been refurbished beautifully lovely and clean happy and helpful staff especially Jess always makes every visit a happy one. I will definitely be back, loved it!

entered to see lots of dirty tables. was served and charge £8 for two coffees. waited quite a long time then after some time was told "you're drinks" and a very miserable looking young lady pointing at 2 paper cups . I asked can I have them in proper cups please which she rolled her eyes and began to change them into cups . the coffees were barely warm the attitude of that member of staff stunk . we decided to leave our drinks and walk out. we shall never visit that place again and strongly recommend you don't either

Shocking service. Two girls, just wanted to chat with there mates at the end of the que. Took ages, the obe girl Milly who took payment could have helped serve, as no one after me.... but went down other end and goined in the chat

Extremely slow service. Waited 6 minutes whilst 3 staff didn't do much work. I'd sack them all and get staff that actually do some work.

Visited this Starbucks whilst in this area for work. Nice interior and good parking. I'd recommend.

First issue was toilets out of order. Ordered coffees bacon roll and cookie. Bacon did not look cooked in the roll and after waiting 5 minutes had to go and ask for the cookie. Also served coffee in takeaway cups even though we had asked for proper cups (after Starbucks asked us!). Not quite sure what's going on here but staff not with it. Coffee good though hence 3 stars.

Unfortunately the girl got my order wrong and as I was in a hurry ai did not have time to wait for remake so I had to go what I got.

Drive thru I have been using this Starbucks for about two years. The services used to be excellent. Quick fast paced polite just lately the team has changed and it’s an awful experience. Today I waited 15 minutes in a queue

The drive through and inside seems to be picking and choosing when to open in the morning, although it states online they are open.

Popular Starbucks drive through for a reason, the coffee is good (doesn't taste burned) and the staff are friendly and helpful. Have stopped here when driving on the A50 and will in future

Dirty mugs on tables when I arrived left 1 hr later they where still there + other customers had used other tables and left more dirty mugs. No toilet paper in toilet told a member of staff but nothing was done. Staff to busy talking. tables and floor dirty.

My mum and I used the drive thru. We got our coffees quickly and they were nice and hot. The lady that served us was also really friendly.

Used the drive through today, quick efficient service, product as requested. No issues.
