Went to this place for my daughters 5th birthday dinner. Staff decorated the area so well and left quiet alot of thing on the table like goddy bags balloons etc. Service was spot on from all the staff including the sweet girl who served us. 100% recommending and coming back. Just call and tell them I'm advance about the occasion and they go above and beyond to make it special xxx

Amazing team members always greated by a friendly face ... nothing is a problem. Met this weekend by the lovely Karon. We have discovered that the restaurant will be closing to the general public and only open for hotel guests. My 87 year old grandma is gutted as she for many years has met her friends here each week. Can't understand the decision to close ?? It is always busy with the local community who for many years have supported the pub.

Stopped by here for late lunch with my wife after travelling from Norfolk to Stoke, there is a bit of building / ground work going on at the time ( June 2024) and wasn’t sure even where to put the car. Anyway greeted at the door by very friendly staff member and seated and orders taken. For a Friday around 5pm not that busy just a family on one table and two couples having a drink. Place seemed nice and clean, food came nicely prepared and hot and a couple of drinks with meal. Not a lot of atmosphere as pretty quiet. Staff made sure we were catered for and were very good. All in all an ok stop. ,

This was a mix grill, I swapped chips for a potato but the chicken gammon and rump were tiny and the smallest I have ever had at any chain. Service great but the food size very very poor

Very good service from Karen. Good quality pub grub. Men’s toilet needed maintenance. Why must there be a tv blaring when no one is watching? A ubiquitous feature of modern restaurants destined to deter those who’d like to converse with each other during their meal.

Went in for a breakfast only to be met by the rudest young lady I've came across in my life , I requested a table out the way to enjoy my breakfast only to be told you get sat where we sit you if you don't like it leave, I was gob smacked never have I had this kind of attitude just requesting a table , so I took my money back with some more attitude from the member of staff an left , I won't be using this place or recommending it to anyone very disappointed, but never mind there's always somewhere else to eat

Please do not be fooled by the motorway services next door which were a a bit...unloved and the uncut grass. Walked inside (staying in P.Inn hotel next door for work) and the restaurant was absolutely spotless. Greeted by Karon.P. with a big smile and pure sincerity (thank you Karon). The staff, service and food were amazing. Top marks to the team on all counts.

Lovely warm welcome from Karon when we arrived. She was very attentive. Meals were served quickly, well presented, and very tasty. Karon showed an interest in where we were from & was very good with my 16 year old nephew. All in all a lovely pleasant stop on our long journey back to Scotland.

Staff couldn't care less, clueless and disinterested

Well. Where do I start? After my wife & I had decided to go out for a late Sunday lunch/evening meal, we had been advised that this place did carveries, so decision was made. We arrived at a little before 5pm & were immediately advised that the carvery had just been removed from the serving area (bearing in mind, it's advertised as 6pm that it stops n Sundays). We decided to order from the menu. My wife had smothered chicken & I had gammon. We had an additional side order of beer battered onion rings between us. The food was OK, just could have done with a little more food as the gammon was quite small. We then had a dessert each & we both had the caramel apple Betty with ice cream, what an absolute disgrace. The slice was probably enough for a child & came with 1 scoop of ice cream & at £6.09 per person, the serving was an absolute disgrace. We had 3 drinks between 2 of us & the bill was just under £52 total. Now, look I know prices have gone up over the past couple of years, but these prices were absolutely shocking for what we were served. I now know why we don't go out very often. It would have been so much cheaper to have ordered a takeaway or even go to the curry house a little later.... Again, after receiving the food we got & then the bill, it's no wonder that this place is closing down, especially if that is what they serve their customers at them over inflated prices. I can honestly say that we will not be going back here between now & it closing down at the beginning of July 2024. Extremely disappointed & we were still very hungry after getting home, less than 2 miles away I hope other people get better portion sizes

Great place for family fun ,or shopping courtyard with shops cafe , and Artisan Farm shop.

What a disappointment. The website advertises breakfast until 11:00am at weekends. We arrived at 10:40am on Saturday to be told that they had stopped serving because there was no food left!! A wasted journey for us. Maybe we should have realised when we arrived. The car park and surroundings were shabby and unkempt. The sign is broken and there were damaged electrical light fittings outside.

Carvery is decent but the place looks really quite run down and needs a refurb

Very much in need of a updating looking very washed out price of food is OK. Food was warm table could have been better(cleaned) as only two couples in outside looks very tired.

Another night working away and tried this place for the first, but not last, time. Didn't get to see much of the restaurant because my table was near the entrance but the staff were friendly, quick to seat me and the food was fine.

Food was standard pub grub but tasty with good variety. What made this place was the service. Very attentive and friendly waitresses. Also stocked a great choice of gins!

Food was good, standard pub food. Service was excellent, which added raised the overall experience to 5 star. It’s a very handy stop off point on way to or back from Alton Towers before the long day of coasters or the drive home.

The carvery was plentiful and a very good assortment. But what let it down it was just warm .and the gravy too thin .

There was nothing we could fault with our meal here for my daughter’s 16th birthday. Carvery was amazing and the service was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make our lunch special.

The people are nice, the food's OK but the place needs a refurb. Chipped paint and stained carpets etc.

Went for Christmas Dinner, never again, it was the worst dinner ever. Never ate it. The starter was OK. That's it. No refund offered for the Dinner.

27th December 13:00 Treating my husband to lunch for Christmas. We both ordered from the festive menu. I had the Turkey dinner and hubby had the Christmas stack burger with extra roasties. Both dinners were so generous in size. They came out quite quickly and we're both piping hot. I did ask for extra gravy, but that's me. I like lashings of gravy. Sherry Trifle for dessert. Really enjoyed our experience here and would highly recommend

Great place for breakfast, £9.99 for me and 2 children all you can eat. Value is amazing.

Best Advice, especially for Pensioners, families or on a Budget. Go from 12am & order before 6pm for any 2 main meals on a meal selection, from Mon - Friday. Very Clean & EXCELLENT Value.

We decided to come to The Waterbridge to celebrate a 40th birthday, a 72nd birthday and a wedding anniversary as a party of 14. Even with us running late, due to traffic, the service and team was spectacular. Food was delicious, service was quick and efficient and all staff were very friendly. The added touch of flowers for the occasions was lovely. Our server, Hannah, was fantastic, friendly and helpful and made our Sunday dinner wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Stopped in for dinner after a day at alton towers. Table was booked but had to wait over 10 minutes for a member of staff to come over to the queue of people wanting to be seated. Food along with drinks have to be ordered at the bar. As we were seated we were informed food would be delayed for 30 but no more than 40 mins. Food ordered and took over an hour to arrive even after chasing at the 40 min mark. Food was good, hot and as expected Staff friendly and helpful but clearly under staffed for such a large pub with a premier Inn next door. Would likely not visit again

Pleasant staff. Distinct lack of pasta on the menu. Smothered platter is a winner, although heart attack on a plate.

I would normally not post rather than post a bad review, but I'm going to make an exception here because I think its easily fixable. Its a pub chain attached to a budget hotel so food should be cheap and cheerful. No problem. Travelling in a group, we ordered starters and mains individually, would you like us to bring the food all together - yes please ! Mains arrive. Erm. Where's our starter ? They come back - aren't these your mains ? Yes, but we don't want them until we've had our starters. Come back again, now we're offered our mains AND starters. What ? But you said you wanted your food all together . . . Seriously? Right, lets have it, our mains were by now 10/15 minutes out of the kitchen, my steak was now stone cold, it hadn't been kept warm. Legendary Premier Inn Breakfast. Oh dear. Normally I like slice of toast, fried egg, a sausage, a rasher of bacon and some mushrooms - job done. Mushrooms. Oh god. Have they been done in an air fryer ? All dry and shrivelled. Whats that orangy brown liquid in the bottom of the dish ? Pass. Black pudding. Yaay ! Wait. Large slices, are they bloating why do they look sweaty ? Pass. Sausage. Okay I do prefer them slightly more well done, found the best one in the dish. Bacon. Looks like discount supermarket wafer thin strips. Are they cooked ? That portion of rind looks yellow. Pass. Fried egg. OMG. Seriously? You put those out ? For human consumption? Pass. Okay, how bad can powdered scrambled eggs be ? Sausage. First bite, this is Cumberland. 2nd slice, wait, is that pink ? Sniff, is this off ? Pass. Slice of scrambled egg, right, 2nd slice, wait, is the centre of the egg grey tinged with green ? So . . . Bowl of fruit and two slices of toast for breakfast it is then. Bottom line. I think this is a Management oversight issue, or rather a lack of. Staff were cheerful enough but I got the impression they were working unsupervised. It takes a Manager to give staff a bit of direction - send that back, of course diners want their starters before their mains. For breakfast, Chef, that food isnt of a decent enough standard, take it back and redo it so guests have something to eat. Its an easy fix, hopefully this gets resolved . . .

First visit. Very nice place with friendly staff. The food was very good and the selection on the menu was also very good. Good choice of drinks and the draught beers were kept very well.

Stayed at the Premier Inn for two nights and bought the meal deal of breakfast and evening meal. It's difficult as the evening Meals were very nice, staff friendly, nice experience, the breakfast however was a different story, they were short staffed but wasn't good. Could say a few things about it but will take staff shortage into consideration, only thing I will say or ask is how can a fresh tray of fried aggs that come out all have hard yokes? A chef can't fry an egg?. Sure it would be a better experience fully staffed as evening meals were good.

Was greeted by the very personable and friendly Kelly who handed over to the extremely helpful Daz, who went out of his way to ensure my sister and I had an enjoyable meal and experience at The Water Bridge. My sister ordered her steak medium to well done but it was completely overcooked. However, Daz immediately set out to rectify this and, although she had to wait a little while, a new steak was supplied which my sister described as perfect! Our meals were delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for - best one I’ve eaten for ages. Could’ve done with more ice cream though! The best thing about this visit however, was the service. Daz was friendly, helpful and attentive to our requirements. I understand they are trialling bar service instead of waiter service but, given this experience, that would be a great loss.

Having reserved a table for 5 on the evening of 23rd June for a family occassion, we arrived on time,only to receive a 'frosty welcome' No 'Good Evening, welcome' just 'have you reserved a table'.! We were taken to the table whereupon the service continued...

Great kids menu options - healthy pasta and vegetables. Curry was excellent. Staff were attentive and friendly. I would recommend if staying at the prem inn.

Went to the water ridge this afternoon for a family meal for Father’s Day. Angel out waitress was fantastic and made us all feel very welcome. Excellent food and a lovely afternoon out

It’s a pretty simple concept…if you have a lots of bookings at the same time and a kitchen that can’t cope you are going to turn out crap food and have unhappy customers. We have stayed at the premier inn and used the water table...

Quick, friendly and polite service. Slight mishap with an order of sweet potato fries but aside from that easy place to stop and eat if you're passing by.
