Lovely food and drinks. Seems like a very popular place. Chilled atmosphere and suitable to go with children. We went here to meet up with some friends . Lovely decor and well staffed

Probably the best meal I've had in Birmingham. Interesting, inventive and most importantly delicious food and lively attentive and knowledgeable service.
Tan ligero y cremoso.

I recently visited this Eritrean restaurant with a group of seven, including three kids, and we had an amazing time. The food was a delightful adventure as we explored Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine for the first time.
The person in charge was incredibly patient, explaining the dishes, making adjustments to suit our preferences/queries, and offering helpful recommendations. We also ended our meal with a traditional coffee experience that was rich and flavorful—highly recommended for coffee lovers. The entire meal was reasonably priced, leaving us full and satisfied. The atmosphere was welcoming, with clean facilities and convenient parking just a short walk away. We also appreciated how the host took some extra time to chat about their culture and language, also asking us about our own background and in overall making it a truly warm and inviting experience. He also gave us to try a bit of the Eritrean Zibib liqueur so next time we know what else we can order.
Service/food was a bit on the slow side but we were not in a rush anyways, Maybe some sort of starters could be recommended to fill that gap? Not a big problem anyways we truly enjoyed the experience.
I think we were lucky the place was not busy but I hope they are prepared for when it gets crowded and can cope with higher demand.
I'll definitely be happy to repeat the experience.

Called in for a pizza last night just as it was closing the gent working there was really pl was want and there was no issue even thought it was later . The pizza was fantastic I even asked for an extra topping after the initial order again no issue with my request he didn’t even charge me for it . The pizza was absolutely amazing highly recommend this place .
Some of the food was lovely and some was not, but very disappointed with the service. Perhaps they look down on customers that have bought groupons but we felt we were treated dismissively and many waiting staff didnt seem bothered with us. This is disappointing because we were looking forward to the 7 course tasting menu which I bought for my wife as a mothers day treat and this was our first return to Adams since we came when they first opened. Our meal started off well with snacks and a first course of langoustine and asparagus mousse which was probably the best course. The next 3 courses were pleasant and I was looking forward to course 5 which was longhorn beef. I wanted to get a glass of red to go with this so asked the waiter for the wine list but after 5 minutes I realised he wasn't coming back. I asked another waiter and explained what happened and was hopeful as he walked off. He then seemed to pour water for people on every table whilst in the meantime the beef course had arrived. He then appeared with the wine list somewhat pleased with himself. I was a bit annoyed but politely said not to bother since I didn't want my food to go cold. He then returned a minute later with a glass of argentinian cabernet franc i had not asked for (not what i would have picked to go with beef i had wanted bordeaux but it was fine) but I thought a lovely gesture to comp this to sort things out and the beef was good. The next dish was a predesert of grapefruit prosecco granola which had a horrid bitter metallic lingering aftertaste so we both left this and had barely any of it. The staff did not ask why we hadnt eaten it when they collected it. Didnt seem to care. The rhubarb desert was ok but still seemed to have a slight metallic aftertaste perhaps lingering from the dish before I can't be sure. So we had enjoyed 5 of the 7 courses and one was most unpleasant. I should have known better but thought why not try the cheese for £25. I had expected a cheese board so perhaps should have read the description closer but it did say one was semi-hard. What we got was three ramekins of nondescript blended cheesy goo with crackers that fall apart as you try to eat them so a bit disappointing. When I got the bill I checked it and we had been charged an extra £30 for 2 glasses of cabernet franc. So not only had they charged us for the wine that seemed to be comped - they had tried to overcharge us. I called the waiter over and explained that I had only had 1 glass, had thought this had been complimentary and outlined the problems from earlier of the 2 waiters going AWOL (neither had apologised) when I asked for the wine list. He went off and returned some time later saying that he had removed the cabernet franc from the bill but no apology for trying to overcharge me or the problems we had. By now I was livid and ought to have refused to pay the £37 service charge but was polite and paid up since one of the girls who served us was very good. I can't see myself ever going back to Adams based on this experience.
Excelente comida (he comido mucho menos bien en lugares con estrellas Michelin) que se sirvió profesionalmente con gran habilidad.
Sólo un pequeño inconveniente era el profesor barbudo (? ) que pisaba fuerte con una cara como de trueno.
food was really tasty and for a really good price!! i’ve been raving about here to everyone, the staff are so friendly too. will definitely be returning, thank you so much
Went for dinner in restaurant Folium as a party of four. The restaurant is beautiful inside very clean and minimalistic. We were welcomed by Lucy who was amazing throughout the whole dinner. She made sure we had a lovely time and was friendly and cheerful but professional at the same time.
The restaurant offers a tasting menu and plenty of drinks options including a wine pairing.
Every single dish was unique on its own way and had some amazing flavours. In addition, each dish was beautifully presented. Some of my personal favourites were the Wye valley asparagus with exmoor caviar and whey sauce, a simple dish but with some unique and delicious flavours. Another favourite was the A5 Wagyu beef with grilled chicory.
There is an option to add a cheese selection before moving onto desserts and it was absolutely worth it, some delicious British cheeses with home made crackers, apple preserve and home made malt loaf.
The desserts were absolutely beautiful and tasted incredible. The sourdough cake with rye custard and brown butter ice cream was loved by everyone on the table. The petit fours at the end were the perfect finish of an amazing dinner. The sunflower seeds macarons and freshly baked madeleines were delicious. The madeleines are baked to order and still warm when served.
We even had a chat with Ben- the chef who makes all the amazing food, he was lovely.
Overall we had an amazing experience with some beautiful food and Lucy and Ben who run the restaurant made sure we felt welcomed and provided us with amazing food and exceptional service.
Definitely recommend!
