I recently visited this Eritrean restaurant with a group of seven, including three kids, and we had an amazing time. The food was a delightful adventure as we explored Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine for the first time. The person in charge was incredibly patient, explaining the dishes, making adjustments to suit our preferences/queries, and offering helpful recommendations. We also ended our meal with a traditional coffee experience that was rich and flavorful—highly recommended for coffee lovers. The entire meal was reasonably priced, leaving us full and satisfied. The atmosphere was welcoming, with clean facilities and convenient parking just a short walk away. We also appreciated how the host took some extra time to chat about their culture and language, also asking us about our own background and in overall making it a truly warm and inviting experience. He also gave us to try a bit of the Eritrean Zibib liqueur so next time we know what else we can order. Service/food was a bit on the slow side but we were not in a rush anyways, Maybe some sort of starters could be recommended to fill that gap? Not a big problem anyways we truly enjoyed the experience. I think we were lucky the place was not busy but I hope they are prepared for when it gets crowded and can cope with higher demand. I'll definitely be happy to repeat the experience.

Amazing experience last night, lovely food, amazing owner. The food was the tastiest we’ve had in brum (tried all the other Ethiopian restaurants in central brum) and the injeera was also the best. Lamb and chickepea were a highlight. Very reasonable prices. Hidden gem.

NAYISOM BEBEAYNETU- ናይ ጾም በባዓይነቱ Combination of lentil, fresh string beans, carrots, potatoes & cabbage. £ 9.00 The dough is sweet and thick. Stewed tomatoes, stewed potatoes and carrots, spanich, and beans are all delicious.

Selu is the best waitress we like her and she is respectfull lady good hosting as well every thing is good

Beautiful Eritrean restaurant with a wide menu. We had a vegetarian sample platter (bebaynetu) as well as a lamb stew (alicha). We also tried mes, Eritrean honey mead, which wasn’t on the menu but we asked for, and it was delicious.

Delicious Ethiopian food traditional 😋 we were a group of 6 and 1 child, honey wine blew my mind only £3.50 I would pay £10 Delicious then and we shared our Injeria bread with an array of toppings from vegetables to lamd or beef everything was tasty. The owner even gave us a traditional coffee served just how they do in Ethiopia 🇪🇹. I will be returning and definitely recommend you try.

I had the vegan platter and it was huge and really reasonably priced. Super friendly service, lovely food and option to take away anything you don't manage to eat. I love Ethiopian food and this place didn't disappoint!

Delicious food for a reasonable price!

Hearty, healthy meal for a reasonable price. The dish I have taken a photo of cost me £9. Caters for all (including vegans and vegetarians) A sincere Ethiopian man greeted us with love. Highly reccomend!

Top quality food and very fair price. The place is astonishing

Not going to lie, wasn't quite sure what to expect, and when my food arrived (special spicy chicken) my first thought was to wonder how I could escape! Don't let the presentation put you off- food was AMAZING! Super fresh and tasty, and the unfermented bread was a pleasant addition. Couldn't help think it could have been presented differently (!!) But genuinely delicious. And the Eritrean beer is worth a try too. I'd definitely return.

Nice Eritrean food and the atmosphere is very African and loads of different races enjoying the meal. Clean and good customer service was a nice experience. This restaurant attracts many locals which is a good sign. Locals as in ones from east Africa. Personally the food was tasty and cooked to my liking. Can get very busy so recomend to book a table in advance. The price of food is reasonable. Many dishes to choose from aswell. Do recomend if you would like a change of food culture. If not the just to enjoy the taste of east africa. Eritrean traditional coffee is the best I recomend you to try it after the meal.
