Good customer service, polite and ambience was so good

Yesterday on the way to WOLVERHAMTON just visited the shop and bought Sandwiche& tea, Meghat Taran served., Very politely and quickly served me,thanks for the food and service,

Taran was so lovely while taking our orders.

Often pop by for a sandwich and a coffee when changing trains in the Brum. Taran is always a pleasure to see. Updated 30th May 2025, Taran still a pleasure 🙂

It's well situated for when you want to grab something before getting the train

I was served by a lovely lady named TT. She was very kind, the coffee was delicious, and the croissant was very fresh and crispy. I will definitely come back again someday, and I highly recommend this place to everyone.

This review is for the Upper Crust located next to platform 12. The manager ( I assume) who is short, south Asian, middle aged man has no manners and is extremely rude. I asked food a croissant and he put it in the paper bag and threw it at me aggressively. His Eastern Asian female assistant looked gob smacked at his attitude. I was shocked and knew I hadn’t imagined it. I am paying for an over priced croissant, he wasn’t busy, the least he could do is show some basic courtesy. He is located at the end of station so will only attract passengers from that line. I am a regular commuter but I will take my business elsewhere, he seriously needs training in customer service or needs to address his racist attitude.

Great service and super friendly staff

I love upper crust at Birmingham New St.The baguettes are always fresh and so tasty. Karen who served me has a lovely welcoming smile and is so helpful polite and just happy to make sure you have what you want. The bacon breakfast baguette is yummy. Keep up the good work and I will continue to be a customer at upper crust at Birmingham New St on my travels.

My server Megha was perfect, smiling , helpful and friendly and deserving of 5 stars food was very nice but disappointed not to be able to get a ham salad baguette at 10.45am in a place like New st station . Overall though very good and top marks for Megha

I've been buying brews and sandwiches here for years whilst travelling around for work. Megha, and especially Joseph are fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Definitely the best food place in the whole of New St Station.

Visiting from Australia, I was a little hesitant to try a new coffee spot, but I stopped by the coffee shop at Birmingham station and was so glad I did. I was served by Sina, who was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. She truly made my morning! It’s always such a joy to meet kind people while travelling, and Sina’s lovely service and cheerful vibe left me with such a positive impression of Birmingham. Big thanks to Sina for the great coffee and lovely chat!

I am using the good-to-go app but I am basing my opinion on if one were to pay the full price for these products. This is the first time I have used upper crust. I had a very dry half of a baguette with half of a small sausage It was disgusting. I had a falafel with some peppers in a whole baguette which was of average taste. I had the worst example of a cheese baguette I have ever received in my lifetime as you can see from the photograph the thinnest slices of cheese I have ever seen with a couple of slices of very thin tasteless tomatoes. I strongly advise nobody to shop here. I think they should change their name to Lower Crust. This would be more appropriate.

Grabbed a coffee just a few minutes before my train was due to depart. Megha was friendly and speedy. She let me know my order may take a little longer than usual, right at the start, in advance of me paying, so I could make an informed decision on whether I had time to wait. Regardless, my order was completed in less than a minute and I caught my train. Great service to the book!
