Royal shinwari in Birmingham

The food was absolutely banging, the karahi was absolutely fresh, and there’s loads of places that say the lamb is actually lamb but they put mutton. The karahi was fully lamb and was so fresh. Arshad was so helpful and so kind. Thank you so much and will be back

The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly captured the essence of traditional Shinwari cuisine. The BBQ was juicy and tender, especially the lamb karahi — cooked to perfection! The naan was soft and hot, straight from the tandoor. The ambiance was simple but clean and welcoming. Service was quick, and the staff were polite and helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends and family. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Peshawari-style food!

Tried there pata tikka lamb which was dry as anything feels like they cooked it before hand and then just put it on the grill warm it up on the grill was not worth the price kabli pulao had the lamb shank in it with hardly any meat on it just paid for the bone and the Chappal kebabs where dry as anything will not go there again not worth hype and price

Travelled 2 hours to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food was freshly made and delicious, the portion were very reasonable. Great atmosphere, and the staff was amazing showing great hospitality!

There was no electricity but they managed to cook the food, however we couldn't fully see what we were eating..

Irshad was amazing, he gave us a good service and the food was excellent. If you’re planning to eat lamb chops then this is a place for you. The meat was very nicely preserved and soft to eat.

I dont really like kabuli pulao normally but honestly these lot have the best, I tried different dishes and they are absolutely mouth watering, Definitely going back and recommend everyone to try this place, The hospitality is amazing

Better than Kabul Darbar, half the price. Everyone should come here one of the few Afghan places that don't charge like £50 for half a kilo Karahi and the food taste is better than every other afghan place in Birmingham.

We were checking online and finds this place as one of the best reviewed restaurant in Birmingham for pakistani cusine. We were really disappointed with place as they did not had half of the menu available ,Really poor service and we had a long wait for the food. We received our drinks order for lassi 10mins after we finished eating almost 1hour 30 min for lassi is a joke . The quality and quantity of the food was really good . So i ordered an extra mutton kabli pilau take away they handed me the parcel cling filmed, once i opened at home in london there was no lamb in it. Which was the last nail in the coffin for my experience.

This has become our go to place for chapli kebabs, kabli piluo and karahis. After trying out various places around Birmingham and being let down we found this restaurant to be the most consistent. We’ve visited around 5-6 times and have always enjoyed our experience… thank you guys keep it up

Dear Manager, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out again to request a refund for the food we paid for but never received during our visit. This matter has been ongoing for nearly two months, and despite multiple follow-ups, it has not been resolved. To recap the situation: • During our visit, we ordered food to take home in addition to having dinner at your establishment. • While leaving, we were handed only the leftover food from our meal, which led us to believe it included the order we placed for home. • Upon reaching home, we discovered that the takeaway order we paid for was missing. We have reached out numerous times, but each time, we were told that the matter would be escalated to management. Unfortunately, no resolution or refund has been provided. This has been very disappointing, especially given the impact it had on our family when we returned home late at night. I kindly request that this issue be resolved within seven days. If the refund is not processed within this time frame, I will have no choice but to take further action, including: 1. Leaving six more honest reviews about the poor service and lack of accountability, as three of us experienced the issue at the restaurant, while four others waited at home for the food that never arrived. 2. Reporting this matter to relevant authorities or consumer protection agencies. I urge you to address this issue promptly to avoid unnecessary conflict. I believe resolving this amicably would be in everyone’s best interest. Please let me know how you plan to proceed. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Kind regards,

I ordered Lamb ribs, Chapli kebab, afghani tikka on top of afghani pulaao (made it a platter thingy). Trust me, I am from Pekhawar and I got my desi peshawari genuine taste. Team is very friendly and always serve to their best. I ll definitely mention Irshad and Muhammad who pull more customers because of their friendliness and professional behaviour. Heard a lot about this place and found it above my expectations in the taste of Afghani food. Just yuuuum and finger-licking food. Pilau with fine trim j carrots and raison and the accuracy of broth in Pilau rice can't resist mouth-watering taste. Ribs meat portion was balance cooked the kids enjoyed it a lot. Naan bread was presented on the stand. Lamb Karahi was reasonably priced and the taste of special tomatoes was unforgettable. Very economical mango Lassi jug. Each penny I spent was worthfull. Since 2 years in Britain 🇬🇧 first time enjoyed real Afghani foodi experience.

Very nice and delicious food, just would remind you the taste of Shinawari Jamrood or Peshawar. Food is a bit expensive as compare to the local restaurants. Place is small and hard to accommodate 14 ppl on the same area. But overall they are doing good.
