The best restaurants in Ladywood Birmingham West Midlands

Love this place and I'm here as often as I can (and can get a table). It's cash only with just amazing food. I had the bandung and some nasi goreng but can report that past visits have been just as delightful with different dishes. Writing this makes me think that I might just go for lunch today!

Mi hermano gemelo Stephen y yo estábamos paseando por los pubs en esta parte de la ciudad, a saber, The Jewellery Quarter y nos topamos con The Glifden Pub y qué gran descubrimiento. Al entrar y supe que disfrutaría de mi visita aquí, un interior de pub tradicional, excelente decoración y muebles en todo el pub de varias habitaciones, una barra de servicio de madera maciza domina la sala principal, hay un patio exterior que es fresco, una increíble variedad de Esmaltes y carteles publicitarios antiguos que adornan las paredes, televisores para disfrutar del deporte y muchas opciones de asientos repartidas por todo este pub, es un gran pub para relajarse. Estuvimos aquí un miércoles por la noche, recibidos calurosamente por un miembro muy agradable del personal después de dar nuestros detalles de nombre y número de teléfono para ayudar con el sistema de seguimiento y localización del gobierno y luego desinfectar nuestras manos, tuvimos un estudio de sus ale reales y Ambos optamos por tomar la "cerveza pálida" de Laines Brewery, que se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones, simplemente nos relajamos, nos relajamos y disfrutamos del gran pub en el que estábamos. Mi pale ale era realmente buena, una pale ale rica, bien equilibrada, con mucho cuerpo, toques de toffee y un delicioso aroma, un gran golpe de lúpulo, una infusión muy bebible de hecho, mi hermano gemelo Stephen también me dio un pulgar hacia arriba a su cerveza pálida. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra cerveza pálida aquí antes de continuar y, por primera vez, visitamos The Glifden Pub y la pasamos muy bien. El pub Glifden es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Great Hampton Street. Los horarios de apertura son; Lunes a jueves, de 17 a 23 hs. Viernes y sábado, desde el mediodía hasta las 2 a. M. Domingo, mediodía hasta las 21 h. Un gran pub, si estás en la zona, definitivamente vale la pena visitarlo.

This used to be called Wah Kee Bakery. Although it's a Hey Sugar branch, it's still technically still Wah Kee Bakery as they still use the labels and wrappers as such. It's a small branch that sell's a variety of Chinese bakery items. Imagine a Chinese Greggs! There is a great selection of bakery and cake items. The dan tat (egg tart) and the roast pork puff are amazingly tasty, i can't get enough of them. Great Chinese bakery.

Everything is very nice, the food, place, music,... It's Kebab and mixed shawarma are delicious 😋 😋

Arket is a small chain of designer clothes and homeware owned by H&M. The clothes are high quality low brand profile clothes displayed with style. This review is of the cafe that sits discreetly within the store. We stumbled across the store and the cafe within it after losing patience with the tatty Starbucks and Costas that surround the Bullring shopping area. The cafe is very small but the coffee is carefully chosen and the pastries are refined and definately not scraped out of a Brake Brothers tin. This combination of high grade coffee, superb pastries, intelligent modern enlightened staff creatively dressed was extremely enchanting and I salute all those who created it. We wandered around the store and bought clothes too !

i’ve been to haidilao in birmingham 3x and the service both times were amazing. the service compared to the one in london are similar, but i felt like the one in birmingham was a little better. a waiter offered us free lemon iced tea and provided us with hair ties, and also made us his own sauce. the food is always above standard and delicious. also please get the buns for dessert they’re amazing !!

Collective - meaning "gathering"/"bringing together" of - various drinks and bakes from pretty much all over the world (inc. Asia + South/Central Americas) - and people of all communities/cultures and ages, and even couples, friends and families. Very tasty drinks - such as teas, coffees and hot chocolates, and even iced drinks; glass of water is generously served always whenever you sit in; both house and guest coffees are also served here. Very tasty bakes - such as sweet (e.g. cinnamon bun esp when toasted and warmed up) and savoury (e.g. sandwich toasties like mushroom). Kind, helpful, friendly, considerate, accommodating and knowledgeable Baristas (and Chefs) - they know their drinks and bakes stuff very well, and they're happy to make suggestions/recommendations where required - thereby forming intimate/close interactions/rapport with customers. Comfortable seats, tables and even benches - whether you choose to sit inside or outside. Small but nicely lit and cosy atmosphere with nice music playing in the background inside - however the bar will be moving to a new, bigger building nearby soon (in around June 2025). Stacks of magazines available - different kinds/themes like fashion and interior designs - should you wish to read or entertain yourself (or others) whilst eating and drinking inside. Interesting moments - can provide inspiration (e.g. creative storytelling); pleasant events tend to occur (e.g. meeting new people and making friends with others). I was once greeted by a lovely Labrador belonging to another customer whilst sat inside, which made me feel very happy, hence happy memories are created. Amazing service - both reasonably priced and timely served. Overall, the Coffee Bar is cosy and colourful, and full of amazing artisans - pretty much coming up with creative ideas for new/potential recipes, whether they're drinks or bakes/food.

Shawarma and Falafel are arguably the best in the city center and highly recommended.

The food was amazing and our server Hisan was even more amazing. Attentive , friendly and gave us great recommendations according to our taste. Would 100% come again.
