we weren’t planning on stopping here at first, having tried 2 other brunch places which were closed for food, but third time was the charm and helped us discover a new favourite! such friendly, helpful baristas who very kindly asked the chef (shout-out Eugene!) to make us toasties despite it being past 3, recommended us some excellent cakes to take away, and made some of the best coffee i’ve had on the highstreet in brum!! absolutely fantastic hidden gem with amazing staff, will deffo be retuning

I've been going here for over a year now, they serve the best coffee in Birmingham. The baristas really care about every product they make and sell and are incredibly knowledgeable. The guest roast often changes which makes every visit exciting, and they work with some great roasteries! If you're into home brewing the beans they sell are great too :) Definitely check it out if you're into coffee and supporting a local business!!

I often visit The Coffee Bar Collective and can definitely say it's a hidden gem worth visiting! There is always a great vibe from the moment you walk in and are met with a warm and cozy atmosphere; the outstanding service from people who really know what they're doing and strive to achieve only the very best, a selection of delectable sweet treats, a great food menu, and brilliant selection of non-coffee options that are unmatched. There is clearly a high standard that is upheld with both quality and service and I cannot recommend it enough!

The coffee is amazing and made by the most welcoming staff. (Shannon makes the best hot chocolate!)

What can I do but give my upmost praise to this establishment. Been coming here on and off since they opened in the Oasis market and I only wish I lived closer so I could come in more often 😄. To witness how far the brand has come is amazing. TLDR, if you like coffee come and drink at the coffee Bar.

I was served by Al, the quality of the products here are unmatched, the team focuses on the little things which makes it a great place, I highly recommend it.

Genuinely speaking it is the Best coffee in town! The service is great, and the coffee is truly authentic—something that’s hard to find in other cafés. With their wide variety of coffee beans, you’ll never get bored of having coffees there.

Think I may have just found my go to place for coffee in Brum. I've not been to many coffee shops (nationally) were the servers willingly engage with customer to talk about the coffee they are serving. For someone with an interest in coffee this is such a big selling point. Coffee was superb, service was even better. Will be back to try toasties and cake and pour over. Delighted that I know this kind of place is available in the centre.

Absolutely love The Coffee Bar Birmingham! The owners are incredibly knowledgeable, always polite, and go above and beyond to help. Their drinks are amazing, and their advice on picking the right brand for my v60 pour over has been amazing. Highly recommend this gem of a coffee shop! Consistently the best flat whiteI've ever tried each time I go. The baristas are very knowledgeable and nice and they have new guest beans on all the time which are usually incredible. A bit small in the shop but you cannot complain when the coffee is so good.

The coffee is the best I’ve had in the UK. The banana bread and toast are also absolutely delicious. It’s better to try them with the coffee. The service is polite, friendly, and warm, and I reckon that the service might also be the best in UK cafés. I’ll come back to Birmingham just for this place. P.S. I’ll visit all the cafés in London that you recommended. Thank you so much.

Really good coffee and great staff

Probably one of the best flat whites I've had in my life. The staff were also exceptionally knowledgeable about the coffee and super friendly and attentive. Potential for 6 stars (!) if the place was a little cosier to sit in for a while (perfect for a quick coffee but too small to feel like you can linger).

The coffe beans on offer were very good, we had the house roast. It was medium roasted, which was what we wanted..we did not eat there. Coffe was served with water too. Staff were super knowledgeable about the coffee. Oh and it tasted so good.

Who said you can't drink good coffee in England? Quality espresso and long black, to enjoy with a little sweet! We were very well advised and well received. Thanks again!

I’ve been trying to find my Birmingham coffee shop of choice when visiting my Birmingham office over the last 5-6 years. None have ever quite met the quality I’ve wanted until I found this place today. The coffee was incredible - perfectly prepared and amazing beans (choice of house or guest). 10/10 would recommend for any coffee snobs. Look forward to coming back next time and sampling the food.

Honestly some of the best espresso I've ever had, extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. They get a great selection of specialty coffees through on rotation so there's always some new flavors to enjoy.

What a lovely, small but cute spot! Neat & stylish making the most of the compact space! More importantly, absolutely delicious coffee! Presented in stylish cups with unique flavoured chocolate sprinkles. Even more importantly, the quality of service was awesome. Young barista (Becca) explained the different coffees on offer, made sure my table and stool outside were dry and clean. Served coffee and water in a neat tray. Asked a couple of times if i needed anything and if the coffee was good. Seemed to take a lot of pride on her customer care. Also very neat & smart in appearance! These small things matter. Quality & well trained staff with good etiquette reflect upon good management and an ethos of valuing customers. Deffo going to revisit! Lastly, also had a bit of interaction with the manager who was exactly the same, kind & courteous

Visited The Coffee Bar on a recent work trip to Birmingham - had a fantastic Long Black and banana bread. Lovely atmosphere and friendly team working, would highly recommend for those in the area.

Very ordinary coffee and way overpriced

Today I had a number one banana bread which was absorbed stunning, on top of that the Nutella latte was gorgeous. There's both great service and great drinks/food and I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone.

Went to Birmingham not knowing where anything was and places to go! I came across this lovely coffee shop and was made to feel extremely welcomed, so friendly and full of knowledge on what to have? I sat down with a flat white and couldn't believe the taste of the coffee ! It was full of flavour choc/ hazlenut/plum I believe I chose. I was also impressed I then moved on to have granola coconut cream and fruit. Yum! it was amazing! So want to come back to bham just for that! Bring one yo codsall

The best specialty coffee you can drink and the staff are treated beyond what you can imagine. They are very respectful and helpful. Their coffee is number 1 for me and I advise everyone to try it. It is very, very, very excellent.

The best coffee spot in Birmingham city centre. Consistently great coffee and some interesting guest roasts which change week to week. The team are all charming and work hard to provide a really wonderful customer experience. It's also great to support an independent business, especially one that cares so much about the trade they're in.

I travel a lot across Europe and North America. This is easily one of the nicest specialty coffee shops I’ve been to. Their tasted banana bread is fantastic as is their coffee. The folks who work there are lovely. Will definitely revisit when I come back.

Based on my experience, and on behalf of my friend, a woman that she said”the last tasty coffee I had, in Italy, I agree with…. actually it was speechless. Thank you for being in Birmingham , you are one of the kind. Just had my first visit and I felt so welcomed and valued as a customer. The staff are so friendly, from the second you walk in, this stood out to me. I tried the CBD latte and a cinnamon bun. Absolute belter of a coffee shop. Great staff who are clearly passionate about all things coffee/tea/food related. The initial coffee I had was delicious, a special roast that wasn't available the next day, so I had an equally amazing cup of rose tea. Also, pictured if the pulled chicken sandwich (minus the walnuts) which was so tasty. Ask either Al or Brad for recommendations, and you won't be disappointed. Geat advocates for Birmingham. Tens across the board!

The very best coffee shop I have been too. Coffee is out of this world, and constantly varying - Something new is always on offer. The Baristas are second to none and the care they have for their work is infectious. Customer service is spot on. Food is spot on. If you are in Birmingham and you like coffee, this is the only place that should be on your radar.

Excellent experience here. The coffee was delicious with unique flavour combinations (honey & cinnamon being a highlight) and attention to detail. The barista was super knowledgeable about the coffees origins and tasting notes which made the whole experience feel really considered. They use an oat milk brand I'm not a huge fan of but the coffee was still delicious. The food is also great with bread sourced from a local bakery. The staff are so welcoming and helpful - they really make the place. All-in-all an amazing experience and would definitely recommend!

I'm still talking about the toadted banana loaf till today (visited 5 days ago). OMG I fell in love! These were my words to my wife after eating this piece of art. I am a speedy eater who believes (believed) that you can enjoy the food just as much regardless how fast or slow you eat it.... not this time. After the first bite I found my self drifting into a happy zone that I didn't want to end... the combination of banana, passion fruit, and yoghurt was perfect especially with the honey roasted hazelnuts.. I've never tested anything as good and have been around many food places. There is no word that can explain that feeling apart from love.... The picture may look like Poached egg on toast but it isn't 😬 The coffee was good. I had the Affocado with Baklava.

I got a pourover that tasted like passionfruit. For the first time in my life, a coffee that tasted as good as it smelled. Really good, blew me away.

I cycle here at least once a week, about a 10 mile cycle and always worth it. Staff are so friendly, great vibe and some of the best coffee I have tasted! Even the cakes/ baklava are always so fresh, it's a place you definitely need to visit!

First time here. Tried the Ethiopian blend which was described to taste like blueberries. Omg it was smooth and so flavourful! Definitely will be coming back. Shame you do not have one in Harborne. My only complaint is the extra charge for oat milk

That's an incredibly good place to grab a coffee. I can't remember another cafe that surprised me as this one. Worth 11 out of 10! Highly recommend to take a banana bread with passion fruit curd for passion fruit lovers.
