Yesterday I popped in for a takeaway cold drink. Service was so fast and the staff are amazing warm friendly and helpful

Collective - meaning "gathering"/"bringing together" of - various drinks and bakes from pretty much all over the world (inc. Asia + South/Central Americas) - and people of all communities/cultures and ages, and even couples, friends and families. Very tasty drinks - such as teas, coffees and hot chocolates, and even iced drinks; glass of water is generously served always whenever you sit in; both house and guest coffees are also served here. Very tasty bakes - such as sweet (e.g. cinnamon bun esp when toasted and warmed up) and savoury (e.g. sandwich toasties like mushroom). Kind, helpful, friendly, considerate, accommodating and knowledgeable Baristas (and Chefs) - they know their drinks and bakes stuff very well, and they're happy to make suggestions/recommendations where required - thereby forming intimate/close interactions/rapport with customers. Comfortable seats, tables and even benches - whether you choose to sit inside or outside. Small but nicely lit and cosy atmosphere with nice music playing in the background inside - however the bar will be moving to a new, bigger building nearby soon (in around June 2025). Stacks of magazines available - different kinds/themes like fashion and interior designs - should you wish to read or entertain yourself (or others) whilst eating and drinking inside. Interesting moments - can provide inspiration (e.g. creative storytelling); pleasant events tend to occur (e.g. meeting new people and making friends with others). I was once greeted by a lovely Labrador belonging to another customer whilst sat inside, which made me feel very happy, hence happy memories are created. Amazing service - both reasonably priced and timely served. Overall, the Coffee Bar is cosy and colourful, and full of amazing artisans - pretty much coming up with creative ideas for new/potential recipes, whether they're drinks or bakes/food.

If you are a coffee lover than this is one of the best coffee shop in the city centre. It's a short walk from New Street Station or the bull ring shopping centre and lots of options to choose from with your drink or even a bite to eat . The owners are friendly and very helpful when ordering.The staff are always happy to serve and genuinely have a personal touch with their customers whether regular ones or customers who have come for the first time. I would recommend the Belgium hot chocolate along with the banana and chocolate chip loaf. The chai latte is delicious and will leave you wanting another cup. Shannon and Al are amazing with their knowledge of drinks and Matthew has always been helpful when we have been.Thank you guys for being a lovely part of Birmingham x

Nothing but the highest quality pourover here. They take quality very very seriously. If you're into speciality coffee, this place knows it's stuff. We've bought beans from this place a few times and staff are always willing to give us home brewing advice. In fact one of their v60 recipes has now become a staple recipe of ours at home. Attention to detail is a way of describing the staff ethos here and it makes all the difference. Used to do food but now only cakes because they're putting resources into opening up a new place, which will have a full food menu, I'm told. Looking forward to going to the new place when it's open. Can't wait, actually.

I happen to chance upon the Coffee Bar, walking through central Birmingham. I am pleasantly shocked at how good the service was especially, the main man personally having a chat with all the customers. He knows coffee really well and his attention to detail is out of the world. All in all if you want to experience coffee and not just consume it, please try it for yourself.

An amazing coffee shop in central Birmingham. We were visiting the city for the first time and called in on a busy Saturday morning. It's compact, but the super-friendly staff brought a table and chairs in for us from outside and served us fantastic coffee. Thanks to Shannon for the local insider tips too!

Had the coffee outside to celebrate a beautiful sunny spring day! The coffee was speciality coffee, which I don't often find in Birmingham, compared to Barcelona (where I'm from) which is full of them. The staff went above and beyond for us to have the best experience. Will come back!

Wonderful coffee and brilliant service. I had the honey and cinnamon latte with oat milk and it was delicious. I also had a spicy jalapeno corn bread muffin that was absolutely unreal 👌🙌 All coffee is served with a glass of water which personally I love. Extra points for the mug design also, it's great to hold and drink out of

I love this place. I get the tram in from West Brom every week, only takes 15mins. Specialty coffee served by experts who are really passionate about the coffee and always have time to educate you. I enjoy the guest pourover every time we go in. The food is of exceptionally high quality, though they've put that on hold while they get ready to open up their newer bigger location. This one is quite small, but as a benefit, has a neighbourhood vibe/feel where regulars are coming in.

I’m just going to add to the already hundreds of people we have given this place five stars I have never seen that level of passion for coffee before. I ordered a decaf oat Nutella latte Which might sound like some kind of crazy sweet drink, but it wasn’t at all. It was smooth, balanced and amazing. The only shame is that I don’t live locally So I can’t visit this place often.

Coffee, cinnamon roll and service, all exceptionally good. Competent advice and a warm atmosphere at the same time. We'll be back!

Seriously enthusiastic about coffee. Went in for a double espresso, they explained the two different blends they had in great detail. Served the espresso with a spoon and water (like it should be!). Seriously good coffee and a proper coffee gem in Birmingham.

Fantastic service by staff and management

I had a fantastic experience at The Coffee Bar in Birmingham! I arrived just as they were about to close, but the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, letting me order a Matcha latte even at the last minute. Not only was the service exceptional, but the Matcha latte itself was absolutely delicious – perfectly balanced with a smooth, velvety texture and just the right hint of earthy sweetness. It was clear that they use high-quality ingredients and take great pride in their craft.

I always try and make the effort to visit this place when in the city. Have always had a pleasant experience and, of course, the coffee is the real deal. They also tend to always stock some incredible beans (I just purchased a bag of delicious 'Square Mile' Red Brick and will be going back for more)!

Love this place. They serve specialty coffee and the staff really know their stuff. The Belgian chocolate mocha was the best I’ve had in a long time. I would also recommend opting for their limited edition bean as they have unique and pleasant notes. My only complaint is - Please consider moving to a bigger place so more people can try your amazing coffee! 🙂

Still the best coffee spot in Birmingham city centre. Consistently great coffee and some interesting guest roasts which change week to week. The team are all charming and work hard to provide a really wonderful customer experience. It's also great to support an independent business, especially one that cares so much about the trade they're in.

Simply the best service and quality of coffee in the area, by miles. Other places can't even compete. If you're a coffee lover and don't mind paying extra for a premium experience, this is the place for you. The only issue is that it's small, but they're opening a new place nearby soon that will fix that problem too.

Incredible! Al has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced, from opening the door for the customers, to having a truly extensive coffee knowledge. The frozen doses menu has some beautiful coffees on, the care and attention to these coffees is unmatched. Al made room for us and also seemed very supportive of the team through a busy period.

Went here for almost a year once every month. Moved down to London went to more cafe's in four other countries and this one still remains my favourite. Coffee obviously is always great, everytime i come here i get to try some new variety of coffee, the staff are passionate about what they do and the go into details about the product. we weren’t planning on stopping here at first, having tried 2 other brunch places which were closed for food, but third time was the charm and helped us discover a new favourite! such friendly, helpful baristas who very kindly asked the chef (shout-out Eugene!) to make us toasties despite it being past 3, recommended us some excellent cakes to take away, and made some of the best coffee i’ve had on the highstreet in brum!! absolutely fantastic hidden gem with amazing staff, will deffo be retuning

I've been going here for over a year now, they serve the best coffee in Birmingham. The baristas really care about every product they make and sell and are incredibly knowledgeable. The guest roast often changes which makes every visit exciting, and they work with some great roasteries! If you're into home brewing the beans they sell are great too :) Definitely check it out if you're into coffee and supporting a local business!!

I often visit The Coffee Bar Collective and can definitely say it's a hidden gem worth visiting! There is always a great vibe from the moment you walk in and are met with a warm and cozy atmosphere; the outstanding service from people who really know what they're doing and strive to achieve only the very best, a selection of delectable sweet treats, a great food menu, and brilliant selection of non-coffee options that are unmatched. There is clearly a high standard that is upheld with both quality and service and I cannot recommend it enough!

What can I do but give my upmost praise to this establishment. Been coming here on and off since they opened in the Oasis market and I only wish I lived closer so I could come in more often 😄. I was served by Al, the quality of the products here are unmatched, the team focuses on the little things which makes it a great place, I highly recommend it.

Genuinely speaking it is the Best coffee in town! The service is great, and the coffee is truly authentic—something that’s hard to find in other cafés. With their wide variety of coffee beans, you’ll never get bored of having coffees there.

Think I may have just found my go to place for coffee in Brum. I've not been to many coffee shops (nationally) were the servers willingly engage with customer to talk about the coffee they are serving. For someone with an interest in coffee this is such a big selling point. Coffee was superb, service was even better. Will be back to try toasties and cake and pour over. Delighted that I know this kind of place is available in the centre.

The coffee is the best I’ve had in the UK. The banana bread and toast are also absolutely delicious. It’s better to try them with the coffee. Consistently the best flat whiteI've ever tried each time I go. The baristas are very knowledgeable and nice and they have new guest beans on all the time which are usually incredible. A bit small in the shop but you cannot complain when the coffee is so good.
