Lovely breakfast place customer service amazing lovely people in their.

We're from North Yorkshire and this is our second visit. We chose to come again because our last visit was so good, and our second visit didn't disappoint. All of the staff are so welcoming, warm, genuinely lovely people. A great place, always great service and fantastic food. We wouldn't choose to go anywhere else while in Birmingham. Looking forward to our next visit.

Well I just visited this lovely cafe for some breakfast after my sister advised me too. What a great place! I ordered smashed avocado on toast and got enough avocado to sink a small battle ship 😁 it did defeat me in the end though! I got there at 7.35am and by 8am all tables were full. I can see why! You will not go hungry here and the prices are very very reasonable. I have paid much more for much less in other places. Sina is a lovely man and staff are very attentive. I saw some of the breakfasts come out for other tables and they were huge so make sure you have an appetite 😁. Thankyou very much for my lovely breakfast and I will be back along with others. All your reviews are well deserved.

I had a meal at Grand Central Kitchen recently, and overall it was okay. The prices were fair, especially for the central location, which I appreciated. The staff were friendly and service was quick. That said, the food itself didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The dishes looked good, but were missing a bit of flavour – just felt like they needed a bit more seasoning or something to bring them to life. I’ve definitely had better meals elsewhere in Birmingham. Still, it’s not a bad spot if you’re nearby and need a bite – clean, convenient, and decent value. I’d give it 4 stars overall, mostly for the service and price.

When we got to the restaurant there was a large queue outside. There was a few photos of the food on a board outside. It all looked fresh and clean. Were were given menus and told there would be a 10 minute wait. 10 minutes later they came out and asked us to order whilst still in the queue and we could not order inside so we couldn’t see how the food really looked. Once they took our order they went back in and left us outside a further 10 mins. They then came back out and took us to our seats. We had to climb over other customers disturbing their meals to get to our seats, as there are no gaps between tables. When we sat down we could see the staff moving cooked food to a tray and putting it in the microwave to heat up and serve. There was a pile up of dirty plates on the counter restaurant side. When the food arrived it was bland, cold and very soggy. We left the whole plate apart from the tomato and toast. The staff then asked if we had finished and took the plate away. They didn’t seem to care we didn’t eat the food or didn’t care to ask if there was any issues or if it was okay. They just wanted to clear the plates away to hurry us along. When they brought the bill over they stood over us and waited for us to pay. Everything about this experience felt rushed and they just wanted to get us out to get the next in. I would not recommend Grand Central Kitchen to anyone. Overall lack of space and moment in the restaurant, poor quality of food and poor service

Amazing fresh, good quality food, perfectly cooked. Really nice coffee too All staff were attentive and busy. Good food safety practices. Will definitely eat here again if we’re in Birmingham.

This is a great spot for classic cafe breakfasts. We had the Full English and the house omelette and both were super tasty. The restaurant itself is simple, the tables are quite close together but it runs like clockwork! Staff are super friendly and made us feel so welcome. Portions are generous, food is delicious and turnover is fast. A great experience!

This place is exceptional on all levels. The food is plentiful,hot and well cooked. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is amazing.if you are up for a full English breakfast this is the place to go. This is a place that I would highly recommend. It is in a central location right opposite New Street train station.

What an amazing place. Staff is so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, cannot fault this place. 10/10 for me. Popped in for a coffee and purposely charged me for a regular instead of a large, which honestly made my day. I went back less than an hour later for a dine in breakfast. Seems a bit pricy to me, the food is simple, nothing special. There are certainly places with a more pleasant and modern atmosphere. But the owners attentive service and openness to welcoming people from around the world in his café made it up for me.

I'm writing this review now, because I just thought about getting a full English and my mind went to the breakfasts I have had here. If only I was in Birmingham right now! What a place this is. Honestly, I plan my travel around being able to get breakfast here when i'm stopping off in Birmingham on a journey. I purposefully plan extra time between trains or coaches so I can pop in. As a vegetarian, the veggie fry up here is unrivalled. It's not too greasy, they make it different and interesting (omelette and grilled halloumi!) without making it fancy and silly like some places feel the need to do with Veggie brekkies. It just tastes amazing, the service is fantastic (the gentleman who i believe is the owner is always so interesting to watch as a people watcher. He clearly knows his regulars and sits down to chat with them, but also goes around the tables personally checking everything is good. All of the staff are great, and the caricature drawings on the wall of them all is so personal. It's nice to see a business that values it's staff that much and doesn't just have a high turnover of people. It's almost always been full (not that it takes me more than 5 mins to get a table each time I have been) which is a good sign. Long may this cafe reign, cause honestly my heart would break if I couldn't grab breakfast here again.

Our visit here was a last-minute decision, as we hadn’t planned to eat out, but we’re so glad we did. The menu is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the service is exceptional—all at incredibly affordable prices. As the name suggests, the location couldn’t be more central. We noticed many local regulars, which, along with their impressive online ratings, speaks to their consistent quality and service. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

Popped in the morning after a gig, service was spot on and the food was excellent. Best omelettes ever. Speed of service was good, I was worried it was too fast and the quality would be compromised but I was completely wrong. I’ve just recommended this place to a friend who will be travelling from Birmingham station.

Have visited many times and the food has always been excellent. Staff couldn't be nicer and the service is quite quick. Be warned that the place is so popular there can be a queue . Great situation being directly outside New St Station. Highly recommend a full breakfast

What a lovely little place for breakfast and a coffee! Table service surprised me, but that's OK. Food great, coffee great, overriding memory was the sound of laughter and friendly voices coming from the staff (and some punters). Only visited once, but it was just a happy, relaxed vibe. Central Kitchen is our absolute favorite go-to brunch spot in Birmingham! The food is simply delicious (I especially love their English Breakfast and House Omelette). The staff is always super friendly and makes you feel welcome. The service is quick and everything is just perfect. I look forward to visiting again!

Awesome place with the friendliest staff. Came by just before 8am and after a warm welcome I ordered a large flat white and an English breakfast (swapped the tomato for hash brown because I’m not a wrongun). Coffee was on my table in 2 minutes and the breakfast arrived shortly after. Everything tasted great and was brilliant value. Will definitely be back.

Went for breakfast this morning. Didn’t know of this cafe previously despite knowing the location of it really well. Found it online and the service was great and the food was just as amazing. A table size we were after wasn’t quite ready by the time we arrived so we were given menus whilst waiting which meant by the time we were seated we knew what we wanted meaning we weren’t waiting around for ages. Super friendly staff.

Went out to Birmingham with the boys for a Christmas day out. Service was great, atmosphere was so good. I had a full English breakfast was absolutely delicious. I will bring my wife next time. Good times

Being celiac is very daunting due how delicate and risk taken to trust food prepared by someone else who may not realise the sensitivity. When out all day need something to eat can be very difficult to find suitable food. At the Grand Central Kitchen I had the gf full english breafast, the food nice, fresh, tasty, filling and I had no reaction with my celiac, so for me this place was true to their word when offering gluten free option. We picked up 2 takeaway bacon baguettes up from here to eat on the train to London. They were as good as the breakfasts, if not better. This place is always worth a visit!

Second time I have visited and both times have been exceptional. Previously, I had ignored GCK and I regret that now. Situated right outside New Street station / Grand Central, this couldn’t be more convenient to someone visiting Birmingham by rail. The place is always buzzing but I’ve not seen anyone turned away. On this visit I had the full breakfast with a large latte. Service was fast without feeling rushed and the food perfectly cooked. There’s a reason this place is so highly recommended on here. An absolute gem and I’m now wondering if I can find hotels in the corporate system the don’t include breakfast so I have more excuses to breakfast here!

The atmosphere in this kitchen had a New York-inspired ambience reminiscent of the "Friends" era, setting high expectations for the food. Unfortunately, the meal did not live up to the promising atmosphere. As someone heavily invested in a quality English breakfast, I opted for the vegetarian option. At £11.95, the price felt steep given the overall quality and flavour of the breakfast. The individual components were quite good, but the dish lacked cohesion and failed to capture the appeal of a proper British breakfast. I was already four espressos deep at the time of eating, so I didn't try the coffee. On a side note, the pepper containers need brute strength to shake and get anything out. Service was quite quick, although it didn't feel personal. I would not go out my way to return but wouldn't mind visiting to try another menu item. As others have suggested, they do seem to be review heavy and very defensive when it comes to lower rated reviews.

Lvoley hidden gem, very intimate tables. Like an old school cafe, no idea who you'll sit next to but sure to hear a cool conversation. Apple juice was lovely and one of the best breakfasts I've ever had outside my own kitchen, can't wait to go again

Food is fine, nothing spectacular. I've only been once and last time I went, there was a queue to get in. When we got in, it was very rushed and a member of staff, I believe she was the manager cleared our plates away before we even finished. Having said that, it was a while ago and I'd be willing to give it another go. We went on a Saturday morning, so I'm sure it's a more pleasant experience at different times and may have just been a very busy day which led to a tainted experience. Edited to add after response: I explained exactly what I meant. The service was poor and we were rushed through our subpar meal and out of the restaurant. As I mentioned in my review, the manager cleared our plates away before we were finished. Feel free to comment on that. Regardless of whether it was 2 seconds ago or 2 years ago, that is unacceptable and ruined my experience at your establishment. I take back what I said earlier. I wouldn't give GCK another go and I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. For any customers reading, after recently visiting Cosy Club, I would much rather recommend you go there for breakfast if that is an option for you. The food is delicious, the staff are kind and the atmosphere is very warm. Everything that GCK is not, from my experience. Just read how they respond to their lowest reviews. Professionalism: 0/5.

These gentlemen understand you are a guest and you are treated as such. I was welcomed, seated and was eating an amazing omelette within minutes. Wonderful friendly atmosphere. The host understood that closing the door to prevent drafts after it was left open but a previous guest was vital. Huge green flag.

Delicious English breakfast with gluten free options (most of the dishes are available gluten free) safe for coeliac people. Very quick service and lovely staff. Tasty breakfast, the gluten free bread and sausages were exquisite. I'd come back for sure next time I crave full English in Birmingham.

I had an amazing breakfast experience at Grand Central Kitchen! The place is just outside Birmingham New Street and very accessible. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with friendly staff who made me feel right at home. I ordered the veggie breakfast, and it was luscious. The haloomi cheese was especially delicious. The service was exceptional. Highly recommend Grand Central Kitchen for a delicious meal !!

I visited from Devon and on recommendation from my friend Manny, (this was top of the list of of where to visit for breakfast) and I understand why. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and I felt very comfortable as a solo visitor. Big cup of tea and cheese on toast, simple but delicious but so much more to temp so do try, I can thoroughly recommend.

Went back to Grand Central kitchen for lunch it was very busy but still got a table, I had minestrone soup it was delicious & really filling my friend had pizza which looked just as good I can't fault this place the food is excellent & the service is brilliant the staff are so friendly & polite definitely be back soon
