Went out to Birmingham with the boys for a Christmas day out. Service was great, atmosphere was so good. I had a full English breakfast was absolutely delicious. I will bring my wife next time. Good times

Being celiac is very daunting due how delicate and risk taken to trust food prepared by someone else who may not realise the sensitivity. When out all day need something to eat can be very difficult to find suitable food. At the Grand Central Kitchen I had the gf full english breafast, the food nice, fresh, tasty, filling and I had no reaction with my celiac, so for me this place was true to their word when offering gluten free option. Thank you

Really good food, everything cooked perfectly and tasty. Service was excellent, and food came out quickly. There was a constant queue of people waiting outside which is testament to how good it is.

We picked up 2 takeaway bacon baguettes up from here to eat on the train to London. They were as good as the breakfasts, if not better. This place is always worth a visit!

Second time I have visited and both times have been exceptional. Previously, I had ignored GCK and I regret that now. Situated right outside New Street station / Grand Central, this couldn’t be more convenient to someone visiting Birmingham by rail. The place is always buzzing but I’ve not seen anyone turned away. On this visit I had the full breakfast with a large latte. Service was fast without feeling rushed and the food perfectly cooked. There’s a reason this place is so highly recommended on here. An absolute gem and I’m now wondering if I can find hotels in the corporate system the don’t include breakfast so I have more excuses to breakfast here!

A very busy Saturday morning and a 10 min queue outside. Lovely fry up, that sorted my hangover - great portions and really enjoyed it. I'd definitely return - very good.

The atmosphere in this kitchen had a New York-inspired ambience reminiscent of the "Friends" era, setting high expectations for the food. Unfortunately, the meal did not live up to the promising atmosphere. As someone heavily invested in a quality English breakfast, I opted for the vegetarian option. At £11.95, the price felt steep given the overall quality and flavour of the breakfast. The individual components were quite good, but the dish lacked cohesion and failed to capture the appeal of a proper British breakfast. I was already four espressos deep at the time of eating, so I didn't try the coffee. On a side note, the pepper containers need brute strength to shake and get anything out. Service was quite quick, although it didn't feel personal. I would not go out my way to return but wouldn't mind visiting to try another menu item. As others have suggested, they do seem to be review heavy and very defensive when it comes to lower rated reviews.

Lvoley hidden gem, very intimate tables. Like an old school cafe, no idea who you'll sit next to but sure to hear a cool conversation. Apple juice was lovely and one of the best breakfasts I've ever had outside my own kitchen, can't wait to go again

Food is fine, nothing spectacular. I've only been once and last time I went, there was a queue to get in. When we got in, it was very rushed and a member of staff, I believe she was the manager cleared our plates away before we even finished. Having said that, it was a while ago and I'd be willing to give it another go. We went on a Saturday morning, so I'm sure it's a more pleasant experience at different times and may have just been a very busy day which led to a tainted experience. Edited to add after response: I explained exactly what I meant. The service was poor and we were rushed through our subpar meal and out of the restaurant. As I mentioned in my review, the manager cleared our plates away before we were finished. Feel free to comment on that. Regardless of whether it was 2 seconds ago or 2 years ago, that is unacceptable and ruined my experience at your establishment. I take back what I said earlier. I wouldn't give GCK another go and I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. For any customers reading, after recently visiting Cosy Club, I would much rather recommend you go there for breakfast if that is an option for you. The food is delicious, the staff are kind and the atmosphere is very warm. Everything that GCK is not, from my experience. Just read how they respond to their lowest reviews. Professionalism: 0/5.

Delicious English breakfast with gluten free options (most of the dishes are available gluten free) safe for coeliac people. Very quick service and lovely staff. Tasty breakfast, the gluten free bread and sausages were exquisite. I'd come back for sure next time I crave full English in Birmingham.

These gentlemen understand you are a guest and you are treated as such. I was welcomed, seated and was eating an amazing omelette within minutes. Wonderful friendly atmosphere. The host understood that closing the door to prevent drafts after it was left open but a previous guest was vital. Huge green flag.

I had an amazing breakfast experience at Grand Central Kitchen! The place is just outside Birmingham New Street and very accessible. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with friendly staff who made me feel right at home. I ordered the veggie breakfast, and it was luscious. The haloomi cheese was especially delicious. The service was exceptional. Highly recommend Grand Central Kitchen for a delicious meal !!

A great breakfast before getting a train to Torquay, full English and the omelette on toast. Just as good as it always is, quick service and a great cup of tea!

Delicious food at affordable prices and wonderful staff!

I visited from Devon and on recommendation from my friend Manny, (this was top of the list of of where to visit for breakfast) and I understand why. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and I felt very comfortable as a solo visitor. Big cup of tea and cheese on toast, simple but delicious but so much more to temp so do try, I can thoroughly recommend.

One of the best breakfasts I have had. So worth it. Be prepared to wait as it does get busy.

Went back to Grand Central kitchen for lunch it was very busy but still got a table, I had minestrone soup it was delicious & really filling my friend had pizza which looked just as good I can't fault this place the food is excellent & the service is brilliant the staff are so friendly & polite definitely be back soon

Brilliant cafe opposite New Street station, always busy but the wait is worth it. Owner really friendly and a perfectionist on presentation and quality. Highly recommended.

My friends, husband and me ate breakfast here on our last day in Birmingham. Not only was our breakfast incredible, but the owner is amazing. He took the time to talk to us, ask about our trip, and where we were from. We had such an amazing experience we tried to get him to move to Pittsburgh. I wish I could eat here every weekend. The food will have you coming back, the owner will have you feeling like family.

Amazing breakfast, I ordered veg English breakfast, omelet with cheese. The service was nice Mr.Sina is super friendly and kind, all the stuff in the restaurant were friendly.

A small place with simple food and very loving service from everyone, especially Hoori (beautiful and charming). Totally recommended if you are near the Birmingham New Street train station and you are hungry, this place is your place; To finish, a warm chocolate.

Been in Birmingham for the week and I've gone here every morning for breakfast. The owner, Cena (not sure of spelling), is great! Extremely personable and cares about his customers. Food is good and for a great price. Breakfast sammie and coffee for £6 is best deal in town. Highly recommend.

Simply cannot fault this place you may have to wait to get seated but they certainly don't keep you waiting long. Been here twice now and Will definitely be going again

Just across the street from the train station. Very nice staff, very welcoming. Good food. The cappuccino looked good, but it felt a bit too greasy. The floor in the toilet was dirty. All in all, if I have some transfer in Birmingham again, I will gladly come here again, mostly because of the staff.

First time visiting England so I obviously had to get the english breakfast. The kitchen is right across the street from the Birmingham New Street station and was quite busy when I went at 8 AM but was seated quickly. The owner was so friendly and very charismatic. The breakfast was delicious and I gave beans on toast a try, not my favorite combination but I understand why it's loved. The chai latte was really good and the prices were really cheap. I overheard the owner talking about how their rent keeps going up so if you have a chance to eat here you definitely should! I had a great experience.

One of our favorite spots in the city for breakfast/brunch. Great portions, delicious. Gets a bit crowded sometimes but it's real good you wait a little for seats to let up. Right next to a tram stop and the main train station no less. Fun and lively atmosphere, staff are animated and chatty, lovely.

Epic cafe, never queued and always come here when I visit Birmingham. 3rd time this year to Birmingham and always stop here for Breakfast or cooked lunch for the duration of my stays. Never go anywhere else for those 2 meals when here! Staff are exceptional and nothing is ever a problem and they are very kind and helpful! Food is amazing, and must be as whatever time of the day I come here, it is always busy and bustling! You won't regret eating here!

A great start to the day with avocado, bacon and poached egg on toast. On our way to the airport, this was much better than what we could have had there, and a lot cheaper! The guy serving us was very chipper too!

Sitting down on this place first time and tried to explore something new and nice but health. We entered and the welcoming service was nice she make us sit down wherever we want to. The view is very nice looking outside. The environment of this place is clean music is so nice calm and rejuvenated my mind and body. Service was so fast and the waitress hoorie was so nice and professional. Talking about food and drinks we had was absolutely amazing. Had chaii late which was so perfect impressed my mind at first sip.well being naughty i was looking at other people the food they was having was looking so healthy and delicious that insisted me taste and try one. I am so glad about the options for vegetarian vegan and gluten free options as well. Balance in the food for taste was so perfect by the chef. If i talk about the plates decoration was so good to finish all. I am very clean person but first time i lost in taste and made mess on cloths and didn’t even notice. I am definitely coming back and recommend to other people.

Got the English breakfast and a vanilla latte at roughly noon. Place has a nice jazzy lounge diner vibe. Vanilla latte was good, not too sweet, not too bitter. The breakfast was really good. Nothing fancy but the cheese omelette was a revelation! Perfectly seasoned too. Only thing preventing 5 stars is that they put the omelette over the bread. This meant the steam from the omelette made some of the toast soggy. Ask for the egg to be served separately or over the bacon.

I’m so happy I found this place. I’m British, but live in the U.S now. I’m back for a few days each year and I usually try and have my fix of food I struggle to get in the States. I did some online research for best Full English Breakfasts and Grand Central Kitchen was recommended. It did not disappoint, and was one of the best I’ve had. The coffee was also delicious. You can tell everyone who works there is passionate about doing so, and the service was excellent. I will be back whenever I return to Birmingham!

This is a real gem! Open early, with excellent staff, hot coffee, and well prepared food. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. And they have the veracity (a Birmingham problem) to be open when they say they are open!

Extreme rush, I did not finish my breakfast while they brought the bill and asked me twice how I would like to pay. Taking away my tea while I am still drinking ... disappointed. I can't understand why it has high rating 4.8 😕 I am giving 2 stars for the fair prices
