Fantastic experience…. Easy to book, very polite on welcome, lovely roast beef and delicious veggies came in perfect timing… finished off with a choc brownie Sunday which was amazing.
Well done to all the people that made that community pub flourish!
Not the easiest place to find but well worth the effort. A proper pub, good local ales, excellent food at very reasonable prices and all in all convivial atmosphere , in a nutshell everything that a good pub should be. We look forward to returning soon.
After stumbling across Baan Thai, we have never looked back. In the last 3 years we have moved around the midlands but always stayed loyal to Baan Thai. We now travel 40 mins to eat here at least once a month. I would find it impossible to say anything bad about this place!
The food is delicious, the staff are respectful, the prices are extremely reasonable and the interior is super authentic and calming.
Keep doing what you’re doing Baan Thai, you’re the best Thai Restaurant we have found yet in the entire Midlands.
Extremely friendly welcome!
We had beautiful food - I had the steak and ale pie and my wife had the beef burger all superb and came piping hot.
The beer too was excellent and went down really well and a zero alcohol Butcombe ale was excellent
Looking forward to going again - absolutely faultless.
Although not very busy, the waitress was really friendly and helpful.
Very fun that the kids get headphones and can watch a film.
Food really tasty and the burgers have plenty of chicken.
Tried the season fries, mac n cheese and frikels, all fine. But the burgers were mega.
Lovely pub. Staff are very helpful and friendly and a truly wonderful atmosphere here.
Excellent food and very reasonably priced with a varied menu.
The pub is dog friendly and definitely one of our firm favourites in the area!
Very popular pub and it is not hard to see why.
Ate here in the sunny garden on Sunday 7th April based on the good reviews. A great choice - friendly, efficient staff and delicious roasts and dessert. My thick, tender slices of roast beef came with roast potatoes, new potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrot batons, petit pois, cabbage and cauliflower cheese. My husband had the roast lamb with was equally tender and full of flavour. We shared a delicious Banoffee Pie - not too sickly sweet as it sometimes can be. Two halves of local cider and beer, coffee and tea and bill was under £45 - really remarkable value. Wish we lived nearer!
80th birthday celebration at The Oak. The food was excellent the atmosphere was great and we were all impressed by the service of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and everything served to the table with a smile to what was a large group. My heartfelt thanks to all who worked so hard to make our evening an enjoyable one.
