Absolutely brilliant service and the food is the best I’ve tasted in Birmingham. It’s the staff that make it for me.. funny, kind and they know their customers well.

Ordered delivery on 9th August for 5pm. It did not arrive. But they sent pic as proof of delivery. Later CCTV shows driver in the street some way from delivery address - lifting the bag of food, taking a photo, and putting it back on his bike and driving away. One star because we couldn't give less. We will be looking for a refund from Uber Eats, and reporting this behaviour.

I take my daughter in there for food after her dance class excellent choice of items on the menus price's are very competitive and fair / for the quality of food,/freshness and speed of service ,friendly staff , we. Have tried various items from the extensive menue and have enjoyed them all ,mouth watering lee delicious is all I can say , we look forward to going in there for a taste bud treat, the food ready is excellent and judging by the volume of food deliveries going out the door ( Uber eats service ) the food is very popular locally , You can't say better than that can you👍

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Batter was pale and soggy and the fish had a taste of southern fried chicken. Obviously the same fryer is used for both. Cost £20 for large fish and chips, peas and a scallop, absolute waste of money. Gutted my weekly takeaway budget was spent on this.

Ordered via uber eats waited 35 minutes, said the order was being picked up, then decided to cancel they order. Message from Uber Eats was that someone tried calling me, but i had no calls, ordered from here a few times before wont be bothering again. Shane as the food & delivery is normally good. Based on the business response the ive updated fron 1 star to 4 and will contact uber instead.

Taks is truly a great restaurant, so clean. Their service is quick and efficient. They take note of instructions and do it accordingly. Food is nice and delivered as quick as possible

Been going to Tak’s since I moved into the area about 8 years ago. Won’t go to another chip shop we have tried a few others but non can compete with Tak’s taste and standards. My partner is always dissatisfied in other chips shops and always mentions how Tak’s have the best kebab and he said he tastes like real meal and it’s not fatty. He refuses now to get kebab from anywhere else he loves the sauce too. I order fish and chips from there and you can tell it’s real cop not a fake substitute. The girls are always lovely and kind to my little girl and are always friendly and bubbly when we go in. Ordered from just eat and Uber many times and order always come hot and correct. Keep it up guys thanks !!!

Be it delivery via uber or to collect this place always delivers high quality food. I ha e used this place from when it first opened right until today. Food (especially kebab in naan) is always exceptional and I have tried nearly everything on the menu. The staff always seem to remember you and always greet you warmly even when busy. I only have 2 moans! Firstly when ordering on uber I wish they wouldn't make the food until the driver is there, I have ordered a few times now and the food has arrived only warm due to it sitting on a warmer whilst awaiting an uber driver to click on your order. Not the chippies fault but plz don't make it till they arrive. Second gripe is they really need to standardise the portions. I have bought 3 kebabs in the past week all the same ( naan salad sauce) the one could have passed for a wrap and there was more bread than meat. The second was filling enough and a decent portion. The 3rd ( not moaning!) Was a monster that weighed in over 1.5kg!! All in all a gd chippy but wish they still did their home made curry!

Great place. My family always pick this as the chippy to go to. Even if I'm passing by in Northfield its nice to have a sneaky chips and curry sauce.

I went in early about an hour ago ... I had mini fish chips and gravy, the fish was cold the chips must of been reheated at least 3 time's, the blond women served me while the man was stood behind the heated area.....im going on the Birmingham city Council website after this ...I hope all your food hygien papers are in working order, and all your cooking temps are checked and your time temp and storage of hot food are also in check! I know I own my own food place, paper work is key to 3/4/5 star

Best fish and chips in Northfield

Last 3 visits here I've been overcharged. Having someone behind the counter who can't speak English doesn't help. Orders are always wrong from this person. I see Tak's have made their standard response of blaming another shop. If you speak English ok, how come my missus had to repeat asking for roe and chips 3 times, and ended up coming home with cod and chips? This was today 18 march 2023. Last week I asked for 2 roe specials, and asked if they could put the sauce in a seperate pot instead of on the food. Ended up paying over 11 quid instead of 10 quid for 2 specials.

Great place to order from the food is way cheaper then any where else the food is always spot on

They have increased prices due to current climate but to give you a scallop paper thin and the size of scallop was tiny. Ive used a number of times over years however this is not acceptable. Wont be going there again as clearly ripping people off

This is one of Birmingham’s hidden gems. Everytime I order from here the food is just amazing. Had an issue where a pizza was missing from our order, but these guys quickly rectified it plus sent out a fresh portion of chips. The chips taste amazing always, the fish on point, the pizzas 10/10. Seriously good at what they do. The only place I’ll be ordering from. Food is fresh and clean.

Heard some great reviews about this place so I decided to try them out. Man what a let down ! Most bland tasteless soggy mixed meat I have ever consumed never again.

The chips gave really gone down hill! Half of the chips are just hard and reminds me of big John's chips - dry - hard - infact, they are worse than Big johns chips I understand about cutting corners tonsave money, but my god have they spilt what used to be a fantastic chip shop. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone no more as I used too Very poor!

I go here sometimes to buy chips. I do like the staff, they are pretty nice peeps.

The food here is very good. Probably the best chippy in the area for taste. And maybe that’s why the service itself lacks somewhat.. they take too many orders! They fulfil on Uber and as a passing customer, your order is often competing with them. I was there over 20mins the other day and it seemed like over a dozen orders were served before me but I was there first. There is no obvious queue system and it is not clear how many people can wait inside. Customers stand outside even when there is space inside but then moan about joining the ‘random’ queue outside. They need bigger premises or an organised queue system. It would be better if they had a dedicated section for online orders only. That way, I can turn up and get served in reasonable time like a normal chippy. I feel they prioritise Uber orders for reputation which is quite sad. As such, it is better to order which I have done in the past but be prepared for inflated prices as well as Ubers service charges.

Food was good but they gave us less nuggets when we ordered deal 5. Went back to taks about 3 weeks ago let them know about less nuggets they replaced and gave extra great customer service definitely our go to chippy.

My Daughter was sent to Taks WITH A WRITTEN LIST of items to get the order was incorrect and a meal was missing from the list, regardless of how busy you are this kind of mistake should not be happening, we have enjoyed may meals before and it saddens me to review with such a low score

Very nice chips. Chicken was nice and juicey and the batter had loads of flavour only bad thing was the chicken strips were a bit on the small side. I would definitely go back though. Good deals and friendly staff .

If you love your chippy you've got to use this one. The chips are perfect. I had kebab meat and chips and i could of ate them again they were that nice. This chippy also has a lot of good meal deals on at different times of the day and night and prices vary but are still cheap. They dont close till 10pm most nights too. As for the stsff they were lovely and polite and served us straight away. I recommend this place to you all.

Great, friendly service. Ordered on Uber eats and the driver forgot to pick up our pizzas. Called Taks and they sorted it out for us straight away, AND gave us another serving of the food we'd ordered. Great service, and the food was lovely. 11/10

Never received any bad orders from here. Food is always of an impecable standard and reasonably priced. I particularly enjoy the double chicken fillet burgers as well as a chicken curry (extra hot) around once or twice a month. Thank you to everyone at Taks, for not providing only great food but also great service.

Food is good quality, and good portion size also reasonably priced, service is given with a smile, only downfall is customers still not going by only two allowed in shop at one time, especially the food delivery people, they just barge in with no respect for others, they should be made to wait in the queue aswell.

The food is good but every time I order a dilivery, There is always something missing from the order. UBER EATS will refund for the item but it gets annoying. Taks blames the dilivery driver and Uber Eats blames the Taks.

There was a woodlice in my bloody kebab!!!! AVOID!!! Do not eat from here. When i rang to complain the owner TAK was soo rude to me had no manners at all. If i could give 0 ratings i would. Even the salad was brown and old. Ive heard bad reviews about this place but i genuinly thought i would give it a try for myself. Should have definantly listened to those bad reviews! I read before in one of the reviews that someone found a fly in their food. Do not spend your money here.

Shockingly over priced for small portions of tasteless food

Ordered through just eat. Easy to order and very fast delivery. Unfortunately it was probably the worst fish, chips, pizza and chicken strips I've ever had. Only ate it because we were all hungry. Fish and chips had no flavour what so ever. Pizza barely had any pepperoni (only one piece on one whole slice) but a TON of cheese, very excessive. The chicken was rubbery and tasteless. I will never order from there again, very disappointed

I ordered a pizza and couple of other things..... The pizza was good until I found what was meant to be a piece of chicken that nearly broke my tooth, because of how hard it was..... Looks uncooked and I ordered it from ubereats..... Not happy at all
