Best takeaway Chinese food in kingstanding in fact best Chinese food in birmingham. The curry sauce is spicy and have loads of flavour. The roast pork and chicken fried rice is also very good. Reasonably priced also

Have been coming to this takeaway for years and the food here has gone downhill. The curries don’t have any flavour, just spices & salt is all you can taste. You used to get beef in a special curry but you don’t any more. The special curries are now full of pork & it’s awful. There was more pork than anything else. The chicken is cheap & processed. Avoid this place. It has definitely earned the nickname we gave it “Mr Salty”.

Been using this place for few years had a chicken curry and found hairs in it which made me throw it away not good waste of money do be aware!!

Food is always excellent - have been eating from here for years and never disappointing.

Cheaper than all local takeaways - don’t do just eat etc so reflect this in prices. Amazing food, big portions, loads of meat and fish in dishes and unbelievable value and quality food. Nothing too much trouble.

Updated review as of 16/07/23. Super slow service. Called in a order told 10 minutes. Left it 20 minutes on past experience and now been waiting over 40 minutes still no order given out. Yet other people with phone orders have come in after and been given there takeaways before me. I will be trying other Chineses now in future as the service is abysmal and nothing like it once was. This was my favourite chinese in the whole of Birmingham.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area hands down. Reliable never has an off day with regards to the food quality. The service lately has been very slow and when you are told 10minutes on the phone expect an hour wait. One other problem they don't deliver but with wait times what they are then if you order today expect it tomorrow. Like I said on my previous review this is the best Chinese food in the area and it is now very very busy and I think it might be too much to handle. I would rather they maintain the great quality so it's still worth the wait at the moment.

I love the salt chilli chicken. I always get that because it's so good. Other items on the menu are good too but personally, I think the salt chilli chicken is the best. You get the food pretty quickly after ordering, and it's always fresh and piping hot. Great portion sizes, and for the price, even better. He's a nice guy and service is practically instant. Amazing Chinese! Everything we had was to a great standard! Loved the lemon chicken and ribs in particular! Would recommend!

Worst £30 Ive ever spent. Even down to the BBQ sauce was terrible! Didn't enjoy any of the food. Took a few mouthfuls and the rest went in the bin. Do not waste your money and find somewhere better. Also charges 50p to use your card and doesn't even let you know about this charge🤣. No thanks🤮🤮🤮

Great food..very tasty..only thing they need to start delveries also how they get away with charging 50p when using card i dont know..esp now when the public are told to pay by card. Best Chinese in Great barr by a mile. Wouldn't give 5* as they Charge 50p for using your own card and the guy changes his energy when talking to different customers. ALL customers should be treated the same

Ordered a huge amount of food. Over £100. Not only was everything cooked to perfection, all of it it was still hot when we got it back home. Great takeaway. Definitely recommend.

I've had many Chinese/Cantonese takeaways in my life but there's a reason why my family have been going here for almost 3 generations now, it's undoubtedly the best chinese/cantonese takeaway myself and my family have ever had, the food is always plentiful and delicious, the only downside is they don't do delivery but if you can make the journey, you have to try this place just once to love their food

Great traditional food, delicious, fresh and well prepared. Service is excellent and the prices are good. Plenty of parking and opening hours are good too. Have used this place regularly for some time so would highly recommend.

There is no better Chinese Takeaway in Birmingham. Used the Golden Fish for well over twenty years now, despite living in Moseley for most of them years. The owner can be a right moody bugger, but you'll always get what you want and it'll be better than whatever you may get from any other takeaway. They don't deliver because they don't need to. I highly recommend the Crispy Cantonese Duck (b12.. if you order by numbers).
