The Swan Inn in Shropshire

We were celebrating a birthday there were8 of us ,it was exceptional service ,superb food and all round perfect lunch .Hugest Thankyou to you all .You truly are the Best .

We are new to the area and visited for the first time as ‘locals’. Everyone was so lovely, friendly and welcoming The food was fantastic, freshly prepared using local produce Can’t wait for our next visit

Came here on recommendation of local campsite owners for Sunday lunch after a circular walk along the ridge, and did not disappoint. We both had the slow roast lamb which was beautiful. Loads of veg, although green beans weren’t fresh but we forgave them as the gravy was to die for! And I’m a gravy connoisseur 👌 Really generous portion sizes, including the amount meat. Friendly staff, well kept beer, smart interior and really reasonably priced! Thank you team Swan Inn 👏👏

Terrible service. Booked a Friday night table. It was very busy. One and a half hours from ordering for our food!! Waitress said they had table of 20 and needed to serve them first, then came over to say the kitchen couldn’t bring any more food out as it was too busy. Evening was ruined. We were with friends but if not we would have walked out. Good ok but service ruined our evening.

We went as a foursome for lunch and the visit could not really have been better. The pub is a delightful, quirky old building and still operates as a proper pub. The bar area is separated from the two dining areas so diners and drinkers are not mixed together. The pub is family operated largely by the hard working and always cheerful Ben and his mum in the kitchen. The food portions are generous and of high quality. The prices are very reasonable; service too is good. Beer is well kept. There is also a garden area.

Went out for a drive and pulled in to try this pub for Sunday lunch. Good choice! They got us seated real quick, and the drinks order and food arrived in quick fashion. Really good starter and mains, and excellent service. Highly recommend you try them. We will be returning no doubt!

Visited on a very busy Saturday night. We had pre booked a table. Although very busy the staff were amazingly friendly, checked that everything was okay and could not have been nicer. The food was fantastic, starters of whitebait, homemade Brie wedges and tempura prawns were all excellent. Mains of steaks and a burger with cheese and bacon were very tasty too. By dessert only 2 of the party still had room but pronounced the White chocolate and raspberry roulade delicious, as was waffles in toffee sauce. As we loved it so much we booked for Sunday lunch the next day. Faultless service again, portions were massive and again incredibly tasty. Well worth a visit.
