The best restaurants in South West

This is well located on Poole Harbour front. We were warmly welcomed by Maria. Good choice on Menu of Asian, British and European food. Six of us had a variety of dishes and all were tasty and well presented. Thanks to Maria for her great service and conversation.

Nice choice of options on the menu, really traditional pub food but on the specials were some slightly different options. Excellent service

A brilliant little bar, with a great ambience and very friendly staff. The cocktails were inventive and ingeniously balanced in their flavour, making for a delicious start to our evening. A must-visit spot for gin lovers and anyone enthusiastic about creative mixology.

The roast dinner is the best roast I have ever had in my life and would highly recommend

Ordered starter goats cheese Bon Bon’s with beetroot and walnut salad , came with no beetroot or walnuts 🙈 Main course was tasty but lukewarm

Went today 13.10.24 for the carvery, welcome was not very "warm" very matter of fact, no personal touch, drinks order was taken the as soon as we got there, the restaurant only had 1 couple in at this time, we went to the carvery and were already eating the when the drinks arrived, FOOD - The meat was cooked very well, moist and tasty, chef was pleasant and friendly, the mash is probably the best i have had away from home, roast potatoes could have done with a little longer to crisp up. Carrots and white cabbage was completely bland and flavorless even with salt added, cauliflower / broccoli cheese was magnificent, peas are peas, red cabbage was nice once cranberry added, gravy was watery and thin RETURNING - I would return for the good parts and avoid the bad, not much required to make exceptional

Food was decent and impressively fast to the table, albeit a little bit more costly than alternatives in the area. Bit awkward queuing to get in, but interior is cosy. Seats are deceivingly comfortable. Most of the staff were friendly, however both; the waitress who insisted my glass caked on the rim with food debris was clean, and the manager who became angry when we couldn't pay online, let the side down. Would recommend apart from the above.

The best gluten free pizza I have ever had

Stopped here from motorway as it’s so close. Marvellous find ! Sunday roast beef lunch was delicious, served piping hot, obviously all home made. The staff were great especially the man who welcomed us even though we’d not booked. Cold beer, cosy surroundings, good food and at £15 an absolute bargain for a tasty roast. Plenty of parking. We’ll definitely be back.

I had the best warmed cheese scones with the soup of day - really delicious and piping hot broccoli and stilton soup - wonderful combination! It was pretty busy on a Sunday but the service was good and it was a friendly atmosphere. I'd definitely go back, I hear that the cakes are really good!

Poor service and virtually no vegan/vegetarian options. Asked for a veggie burger which was on the menu, they didn't have any. Asked what else was vegan, they didn't know. Service was very slow and all front of house seemed uninterested and more keen to huddle round the bar chatting. One waitress was particularly rude, I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend. Lots of much friendlier places in Falmouth.

Had a fabulous Sunday roast here yesterday with the family. It was very busy, so glad we had booked in advance. Food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Will definitely return another day. If you have not been then you must go.
