Absolutely lovely, nice atmosphere, Kat and sonny made the meals to perfection, highly recommend the food, the southern fried chicken birger was superb. The bar staff, including jordan , Millie and Nicole were very Accommodating. 5/5 will be here again 😊

Went here in December and Jess was superb as our server. The Christmas menu was fantastic and the pint she poured me was FANTASTIC. BEST pub in Bournemouth (that isn't a spoons) would recommend to any weary travellers on the road.

Rather noisy "restaurant" as it was right by the bar. The food was okay but not good ambience. There was also a yapping dog in the restaurant which didn't help.

Ok, but dirty gents toilets let the pub down. Also, there was an unpleasant "whiff" which hit me as I entered the near empty pub this Wednesday afternoon, which IMO was possibly coming from the glass machine and its associated drains. No Carlsberg Pilsner (Out of Stock), though I ordered Fosters (£4.30) so didn't affect me (but it did for other incoming customers who were ordering it). Also, a few "fruit" flies in evidence flying around at the bar by the beer taps. Oh dear. Was tempted to use my 30% Off mains food voucher today before it expires, but was put off by the aforementioned. Went home to eat instead, and the voucher got binned. Good service, but when the pub is very quiet, this should come as an absolute standard when two staff are working. Overall, a bit disappointing, especially when there have been many 5 star reviews posted recently. Hopefully, there will be an improvement when I pop back in sometime in 2025.

I thought I'd try something different and turn up for the locals dart tournament, what a mistake !! I normally use the lounge area, but this was in the small bar which I try to avoid but I thought I'd see what it was about as I enjoy darts. It was full of what I can only describe as the worst of society, drug dealers and users.... A loud mouth was quite happy to talk about his drug taking with his pals as if it was normal and then passing something between them , if trying to be secret with what you're doing, take off your fluorescent coat to avoid the attention, let alone the obvious 1 in 1 out of the small toilet ! . I've seen this pub degrade over the last few years and the drugs culture here is now taking over and the worse it is becoming . It's about time the landlord got a grip on this and stopped choosing to ignore it . I know drugs are supposedly everywhere but it's about time someone took some action and protected what are our precious local community pubs that are left .

I've been coming for years, amazing atmosphere, very warm, welcome for the children, always lots on.the bar staff, always friendly, a special shout out to becky who is always so helpful and the children absolutely love her!

Received vouchers through post & as was partners Birthday following week decided to give The Crown a try & no regrets, very friendly atmosphere & efficient service. Food was really good & good value for money. Staff very friendly & polite. Highly recommend trying & possibly advise book table as was busy.

Came in for lunch on saturday the food was disgusting wouldn't even give it to my dog, can't understand how a burger and some sausage and mash can even be made so badly....burger was burnt throughout including inside of the bun, burnt sausages microwaved mash, gravy and peas, gravy was skinned over and full of lumps and even when they could see it wasn't being eaten not a word from the staff....after constantly seeing the so called chef coming out with his hands down his trousers I wouldn't try it again if they payed me for it...definitely avoid the food

We went here for my nans 90th birthday! Table was all set up and ready before we turned up, manager at the bar was very attentive. Eva and the manager brought our food out very efficiently and cleaned the table quickly after our food! Very lovely atmosphere and lovely Secure garden for the children to play out it without wondering off! Drink and food prices very reasonable. I had the lamb that was on the special menu, it was amazing, so much meat on it, plenty of gravy and veg cooked perfectly! Children’s menu was great with lots of options for picky eaters! We all loved the food we had! Overall very lovely place to visit, food and drinks were brilliant and lovely friendly, chatty staff! Thank you very much, will be back again very soon!

We were sent a voucher, so we decided to give it a go. Booked a table for 12:30 pm. Arrived @ 12:25 pm. Ordered drinks at the bar and we were told to take a seat in the restaurant area, our name would be on the table & a lady would be along to take our order. The lady in the restaurant area, did come into the room several times and served a couple that arrived 20 minutes after us. We waited 35 minutes and decided to leave as no one had bothered to even ask us what we were doing there. Sadly, we cannot recommend this place as they clearly did failed to deliver. Another couple with kids, who sat there before us, also decided to leave because nothing was happening. The lady that came into the restaurant area could have asked us something or informed us on what was actually going on. The place looked suitably clean however, on closer inspection, the floors and table were sticky and stains and ring marks were left on the window sills. I'm sure that advertising was not cheap.

Roast dinner was very poor, all overcooked, service very slow and table chairs very sticky and dirty. Monday my friend went in to order coffee and they had no milk

I have been to the Crown many times over the years and had nice meals there but not yesterday.We had booked a table for 5 . We ordered and had to wait an hour for our food , when it came it was very average , the Hunters Chicken had very little sauce, the salad was a few wilted leaves. I had to ask for complimentary soft drinks !!! Then there was a mistake with the bill . We will not be returning.

Came in on a not very busy day with 4 friends. Ordered at the bar with a very young barmaid at 1.30pm. After 30 minutes of waiting, asked where food was to be told 5 minutes. 12 minutes later still nothing, was told another 5mins. All in was coming up to an hours wait for 3 x hunters chicken and a jacket potato. Hunters chicken barely had any salad and the skimpiest bit of bbq sauce on it. Upon starting to split the bill noticed that the barmaid had no applied the lunch deal offer which we specifically asked for so had to return to the bar for a refund. Not impressed especially as hardly anyone had food and it was not busy.

Had Fish & Chips and Hunters Chicken (two visits!). Both excellent. Good quantities, freshly cooked, tasty and filling. Impressed.

The waitress Petra gave phenomenal service and was extremely kind and helpful with my partner who has allergy issues!!

We had lunch and it was quite ok. The starters with the Natcho plate were very tasty. The fish and chips were ok and the gammon wasn't quite as good. But I really don't have to recommend it. The service was positive, it was very nice and helpful.

Today on my journeys I stumbled upon the pub to be greeted by the lovely young Millie behind the bar. Served a nice cold guiness with a smile went a long way for me in my experience here at the Crown today. Kudos to Millie and the team. I will be returning

So happy we have found this pub. Short walk from home. The pub is very inviting with a nice atmosphere and a lovely outdoor area. The food is delicious and service great.

Used this pub for a number of years but since then new manager has come in it seems like it has gone downhill the toilets aren't clean the floor feels sticky and so does the tables it seems like they have a very lazy cleaner the only saving grace for the pub is the girls behind the bar are amazing aswel as becky as she has been very welcoming everytime me and my family have been there when she is working it's just a shame that a great family pub has gone downhill like this in a space of a year
