A fantastic meal on Easter Saturday - nothing was too much trouble. They were very busy and we had to wait a while for our meal, but it was worth it. Sea Bass with new potatoes and seasonal veg off the specials board was divine and cooked to perfection. And they didn't charge us for our deserts as we had a wait - we would have paid! And they kept us informed throughout the meal. We will certainly visit again when we are in the area. Many thanks to an exceptional team. 🤩

Stopped off on a random drive until we found somewhere and so impressed by this gorgeous place! Had an amazing meal of quiche, chips, salad and coleslaw. Really fresh crisp salad and delicious flavoursome skin-on chips. And the quiche was just gorgeous. Sat in the sun with a lovely smooth ale and a generous portioned meal. Such welcoming and friendly staff too which made the whole experience just perfect. Will be a regular visitor now!

IF ONLY all pub / restaurants had such excellent cheerful service and such great food on offer. I recommend "ham egg and chips" and "line caught hake chips and peas, with tartar sauce and a pot of tea" Simply Great value at £19 for a really excellent meal The woman who served us was just an abject lesson in what really attentive service can be. We Can't recommend it highly enough. If your in wadebridge drive up past Tesco superstore on your left, to the roundabout ( with all the push bikes on it) turn left onto the A39, then an almost immediate right hand turn, Then about a mile up the lane on your right. you'll see "The Quarryman". Really lovely food and service and ample free parking , (not some tiny lined out parking bays) I've been holidaying in Wadebridge and Polzeath for 25 years, and have only just discovered this GEM of a place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We stayed in one of the holiday cottages next door so called in here a few times over the week for a drink and had a meal one night. The building is clean and decorated nicely. The staff were all really welcoming and attentive. Good selection of beers on tap including a couple of craft beers. The menu was quite limited but that’s not a criticism as everything we had was done very well and reasonably priced (we had burgers, steaks and the garlic prawns with pasta). Well worth a visit.

Stayed in one of the adjacent Quarryman's Cottages over Christmas and the New Year and had quite a few meals in the pub. Always got a friendly welcome. Not a bad choice on the menu and sampled quite a few dishes during our visits, all of them well cooked and presented and very tasty. Guest cask ales were also very nice. Couldn't fault the service. Traditional Sunday lunch was also very good, with lots of veg and a choice of roast beef or pork.

The Quarryman is a true hidden gem in north Cornwall! From the moment we arrived, we were met with a welcoming atmosphere and a lovely ambience that made us feel instantly at home. The food was outstanding - authentic, fresh and bursting with flavour. We enjoyed perfectly cooked local mussels, a yummy steak ciabatta and fish and chips that were all served beautifully. What also sets The Quarryman apart was the level of service. The staff and landlord went above and beyond to make us feel special, including making extra effort with our 3-year-old daughter. She was made to feel just as important as the adults, which made our visit all the more enjoyable as I do always worry about people not wanting children around. This cosy pub is a wonderful find and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting the area. We will be back very soon and have already told our various friends who come down to Cornwall as much as we do that they must head to The Quarryman.

I would always contact the management first which I did via email but no reply before posting here to give them an opportunityto respond. This is what I said. . Good morning, We came to you a couple of weeks ago. First time, even though we have been coming to Wadebridge for over 50 years as children and adults. We were really impressed that visit and I decided to bring my wife back last night for a final meal before going home. 2 comments I couldn't see or taste any bacon in my chicken, leek and bacon pie. Was it there? Also the portion of gravy was a bit small so we asked for some extra. The waitress never said it was chargeable but it cost another £1.50. I checked your menu online and it's not on the sides menu that I can see. I have never been charged extra for gravy before! I did question this with the person who I paid but he went from being really polite on arrival to a only pone word yes in quite a forceful manner. I decided not to challenge any further and left still giving a tip for the waitress. We were both surprised and disappointed. It's not the money but more that we should have been told although I do think charging for gravy after two full meals is ridiculous. I hope this feedback is helpful and delivered politely.

We came in as a party of 8 having eaten here before. Friendly efficient service. The place is clean and well cared for inside and out and is dog friendly. Having ordered 2 steaks- one sirloin, the other a rib eye, my Dad’s ribeye was very gristly and he barely ate any of it leaving the cut up remnants on his plate. The waiting staff took it away having asked how the meal was and having been informed that the steak was tough said absolutely nothing and offered no apology despite the amount of “meat” left behind. I would have thought that a refund of this meal or some gesture of goodwill might have been offered as my Dad barely ate a mouthful of the £25 steak. When we enquired about this meal being knocked off the bill the waiter said “what you need to realise is that ribeye IS fatty” Please don’t patronise us, we know the difference between gristle and fat. Had we known they would not offer is a reduced bill, we wouldn’t have stayed longer and ordered dessert.. All restaurants can have issues with some of the food they serve but this problem could have been resolved professionally and fairly and the resulting review here would have been glowing. Poor customer service costs restaurants repeat business - not to mention the all Important loss of word of mouth recommendations. Such a shame as all other meals were lovely and no complaints, but we won’t be back on the basis that we left feeling ripped off.

After recent disappointment in the midlands at various pubs I went here with somewhat low expectations. However, we were absolutely overwhelmed with the service and standard of food. The menu is basic and typical English pub main meal fare. Nothing wrong with that, any food whether traditional, modern or fusion etc just needs to be done properly. The fish and chips and steak were of the highest standards and it’s a shame we couldn’t stay to try the Sunday menu. Highly recommended.

Such a shame as this is a nice little pub, the staff are delightful too- food at best average. Don’t order the pie. One of the worst Sunday lunches I have ever eaten. Cold plates, pre sliced meat, un seasoned vegetables just slopped on plates, and the same watery gravy served with the Beef and Lamb options. The landlord informed of my disappointment and he confirmed the food was not up to the standard they expect and chef had since left… but not willing to make things right; hence we will not be returning nor recommending to visitors. As an aside - the outside of the pub is charming. Inside is really dated, tables crammed together with no personal space, uncomfortable pine chairs to sit on, and overpriced badly cooked food.

Roundhouse South primarily sells O/027 gauge and HO gauge trains. They carry MTH/RailKing O gauge, and being an MTH/RailKing dealer they can also order RailKing 1 gauge if MTH has it in stock. They also carry Lionel and a variety of other brands, and a variety of toy horse models. Repairs on some models of trains are also available, and the prices are very reasonable.

A pleasant evening spent here although we were put on a tiny table even though all the larger tables were marked as reserved, signs later removed. The waitress got our order wrong but the food was delicious when it arrived. I just had the feeling the waitresses weren't quite on the ball when we visited. A lot of standing around and chatting and not many smiles.

My husband and I stopped here for an impromptu, commiseratory pasty after a big wave soaked our feet (and our dog). The steak pasties are delicious (lovely hint of black pepper), and so is the Cornish Cola. And the dog looked so sandy and soggy, she was offered a sausage to cheer her up! Great food and even better service – what a fantastic place.

Today is Wednesday April 2nd. We often visit and called in to have a coffee and buy some pasties to take on our walk over to Nanjizel. I had checked the cafes opening hours and was pleased to see its website said it was open. It is not! Very disappointing 😞 Sadly, this seems to be typical of many catering outlets in Penwith at the moment.
