Great views , great vibe , great food - what a Sunday feast after a trip along the river to st Mawrs. We was recommended this place by the local ferry workers and wasn’t disappointed. Whilst the pub was busy due to the rugby being on we was well looked after and found a lovely table with views of both the river and the 6N. Probably one of the best Sunday roast I have in Cornwall.

What a great place for good pub food and drink. Well worth a visit at this time of year as it is easy to get in and they like dogs. The Flat Iron Steak, Fish and chips and Burgher were all good, we didn't have room for pudding ;-( The beer is well kept and served at the appropriate temperature. Staff are exceptional - Friendly, attentive and make the place very welcoming. Entrance to the car park may require some nerve, but it is easier to get out than in. Highly recommend a visit.

Went for Christmas lunch with wife, Grandmother and Mother in law coming a fair distance based on good reviews overall. To say disappointed is an understatement. Spent nearly £400.00 on food and drinks, where the food can only be described as something from Icelands, processed and bland. Meat, thick and stacked with the stuffing processed and potatoes not cooked. Puddings where obviously bought in and looked like something from an all inclusive. The duck seemed to be pulled from harbour as it was dry and again bland. Could go on but hey, it's christmas! Personally, I would go again for an average meal at a pub however, certainly not for a christmas meal!

We had our works Christmas lunch here, the service was excellent as was the food. The menu was really good value for money and multiple dietary requirements were met with ease. The venue was perfect for our team of 20 and the setting was magical. It also had the added bonus of the hotel bar upstairs serving a delightful range of Christmas cocktails.

The staff were very friendly, food and beer was excellent, the location fantastic (both being connected to the hotel so I didn't have to brace the weather and the view out over the water), and it was great to see the pub was dog friendly. The only negative was that the menu could have been more extensive, especially with more options for vegetarians/vegans, but this is a minor point and I would much prefer a very nicely done veggie burger than a long list of options all done poorly!

Stayed in the sister hotel but used the working boat which is below the hotel each evening , what a little gem , gorgeous setting , great selection of ales and the food is wonderful. Big shout out to the entire staff team who are so lovely and made us feel so very welcome and we had travelled 8 hours to be there for a weekend break , look forward to seeing you all next year, to use their phrase …. An enjoyable Sunday lunchtime overlooking the water to Flushing. We were seated very comfortably, on table one. Very comfortable chairs with a good sized table at the end of the restaurant. It makes such a difference to a meal to be able to max out! Big rad making it very warm and toasty. Service here is extremely good, very efficient and friendly. We had chicken roasts which at £16 is good value. Portions are generous but although the chicken was tender I din't think it was very good quality. I think for the price it's totally unrealistic to expect premier free range. The veggies were nicely cooked and portions are generous. We would have preferred bigger plates, too much food on a plate is always a bit difficult to manage. I ended up putting the Yorkshire pudding on the table for a while. Puddings were enjoyable but my partner said his Doom Bar was warm. We did feed this back and were told that the cellar does get rather warm.

Went here for a Sunday roast after attending a few summer events here and it was excellent! Food was delicious with a good selection of veg, the Yorkshire puddings were amazing (and HUGE!), the atmosphere was lovely and cosy and the staff friendly and helpful. Absolutely fantastic !!! Seriously the best roast dinner in Falmouth. Staff are amazing. 🤩 The food itself, I am extremely critical of Sunday roasts, as you will see from some of my other reviews. So when I say that this is the best roast, in Falmouth, it comes from a place of experience. The Yorkshire pudding, incredible freshly cooked, you can tell. Some of the restaurants in Falmouth will cook them probably the day before and you can taste that they have been.. the roast potatoes !!!! absolutely delicious, full of flavour and beautifully cooked. The meat the beef is real beef none of this stuck together crap that you get in some of the other restaurants in Falmouth. This was beautiful beef cooked splendidly. The chicken was moist and full of flavour 😊 The gravy !!!!!! Now that is worth a special mention. I have not had proper chicken gravy for a very long time. This is proper stuff clearly cooked with the chicken/ Beef stock and the flavour is exquisite.. Vegetables served separately and cooked perfectly. Everything was piping hot and you could tell everything was Fresh !!!!!! How you want a roast to be 💝 We have booked for next week and we will be there every Sunday now till the spring time. 💝💝💝 thank you 🤩 Please look after you chefs, cherish them they are worth every penny xxx

We cannot fault the presentation & the staff are attentive & just perfectly polite. The food was good except for the dried crispy veg; possibly under the heat lamp too long? There were numerous dogs which isn’t great, but this is a dog friendly pub & so you can’t really complain, however well behaved dogs are totally acceptable - but when it comes to owners letting their dogs bark without even trying to hush them or taking them out of the restaurant is where it’s unacceptable. A little dog in (l think) a bag was barking continuously & I couldn’t take anymore, I just couldn’t bear another course listening to that & so left my husband to finish his whilst I went outside to wait for him. There should be a simple rule that well behaved dogs are welcome , otherwise if your dog is causing an issue/disturbance, you will be asked to leave!!

We came for Sunday lunch here on the last day of our holiday. The perfect end to our lovely holiday. The Sunday roast was superb. Beautiful presented. The vegetables came in separate dishes which we really like. There was a great variety of vegetables and they were all cooked to perfection. Including cauliflower and leek cheese and carrot and swede mash. I had the chef’s homemade courgette and pecan roast. Really tasty. My husband had the 12 hour overnight roast beef. He said the beef melted in your mouth. Great big yorkie puds and potatoes that were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The best Sunday Roast. We finished with the orange and mascarpone cheesecake. There is a great panoramic view of Falmouth Harbour from most of the tables and it makes the restaurant so light and airy. It is very well decorated. We took our little dog as it is dog friendly. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I wish we lived nearer as we would come here all the time.

Staff were welcoming and attentive, but not overwhelming. They were efficient and did not neglect the restaurant diners, despite also catering a private event. We were served by Ella and new assistant manager Connor made an effort to introduce himself. We started with the bar snacks, all of which complemented each other perfectly. Followed by a selection of hake, squid and prawns, covered in a light batter. The aioli was silky and delicious, the dish could have benefited from having more of it to uplift the fish and a wedge of lemon might have been more practical than a slice. The local catch fish and chips was an obvious choice for main course and very fitting to the location. Light beer batter coated a meaty and flaky piece of hake. Minted peas refreshed the palate, and added a sweetness. And the chips were some of the best I’d had in recent pub visits, fluffy, crisp and fully of flavour. I couldn’t resist the temptation of dessert; lemon cheesecake with lemon curd and clotted cream. The lemon curd was amazing; very citrusy and sharp, it made a change to experience a curd that packed that lovely lemony punch! Although the clotted cream accompaniment was a little too large for a heavy cheesecake, and I like my clotted cream! I would love to see some more of the beautiful lemon curd rippled into the cheesecake to cut through the cream.

Stayed in one of the adjacent Quarryman's Cottages over Christmas and the New Year and had quite a few meals in the pub. Always got a friendly welcome. Not a bad choice on the menu and sampled quite a few dishes during our visits, all of them well cooked and presented and very tasty. Guest cask ales were also very nice. Couldn't fault the service. Traditional Sunday lunch was also very good, with lots of veg and a choice of roast beef or pork.
