The Venue in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We ended up here as we were at a local campsite with limited facilities. We had two great evenings: music was great and the prices are very competitive. The food choices are quite expansive for a small location and is tasty and great value for money. We had a small issue (not related to this establishment!) and the staff were really friendly and helped us out much more than they were required to. Definitely recommended!

Good value holiday park multi venue. Shop, restaurant, bar and typical entertainment. Good if visiting with kids as an enclosed play park adjacent.

We have had dinner and the Cauvery on a Sunday. The carvery is the best I have ever had. It was fantastic. Don't be put off by the photos. We also use the Sports Bar all year round, it is warm and welcoming. Sam the barman is lovely. This is home from home. Strongly recommend.

Went for 2 for £20 main meals and happy hour drinks, drinks still more or less the same price as other bars in the area even after "Happy hour" discounts applied. Food was really poor, but I guess you get what you pay for. To add insult to injury they had a music act that they could really have done without. Bad singer with the most gormless back up guitarist I've ever seen and either he had a lazy eye or spent most of the event staring at my legs.

Great food. Great staff. Very accommodating with regards to food allergies and specific needs. Dog friendly. Good parking.

Good selection of food and drinks , always has customers in either the bar or restaurant. Recommend the fish and chips.

Wow what can i say, we went in there on Thursday night for a meal 5 adults and a teenager. i wouldn't say i enjoyed the steak but we went back on Friday night and i had it again, yet again it was cooked to perfection. staff were brilliant very welcoming and attentive and nothing was a problem for them. if i am down in Cornwall again i know where i will head for. 5 stars

We are and had drinks here numerous times throughout our weeks holiday while staying on St Merryn Park. The food was excellent and really good value for money. Staff are really welcoming and friendly. Lots of various entertainment on throughout the week including bingo, quiz night and live music. Was a good atmosphere watching the England games during the euros. Upstairs bar was really good for playing pool and darts. Great place and will definitely return when next in Cornwall.

Couldn't recommend thus place enough! Stayed just around the corner for 6 days and was in here practically every night. Good food and a great atmosphere! Played bingo and did the quiz night and it was so busy! Staff are SO helpful & so friendly. Especially Chanel! She's so young and we couldn't believe how amazing she was! Highly recommend if you're close by!

Caters for all and dogs welcome, mini arcade for youngsters, upstairs sports bar with big screen. Live music some days and bingo on others with there own exclusive game of “sticky thirteens” cash prizes from all, well worth the visit.

Great find, stayed for a week in the area....Gary and Aaron are brilliant hosts ..food was excellent and could not fault anything. All the very best guys with all your plans for the Venu.

I was staying over the road at Atlantic bays, similar to last year, and so I’d been here previously, albeit briefly . Basically it’s an extremely well run establishment. The staff are extremely friendly, and the selection of drinks on tap/bottle - lager/cider/bitter is something you’d expect to see in a city centre pub. I’d recommend the Grand Central which was excellent, and also fairly evident that the pipes are well maintained. Also had the likes of Doom Bar, Atlantic, San Miguel - I “think” Guinness - and a decent selection of Cider. I’d already eaten so pitched for a dessert which was homemade and excellent, and at £6 great value. Upstairs has a darts board, pool table, few slot machines and similarly friendly staff. Highly recommend stopping here for a few ales and a chat, seems they have events throughout the week (Quiz, Bingo, Karaoke etc) and an off licence next door with all your daily needs. Very definitely run/owned by someone who knows what they are doing. Thanks.

Visited the venue over bank holiday ,staff were lovely,had a evening meal which was good,carvery on Sunday was excellent,Gary and his team were so busy but still so friendly,also had entertainment all weekend which was fab a lot of singing and dancing,be back soon well done x

Great Tasting Pub Food, with a warm and friendly atmosphere greeted by the a very welcoming polite owner and nice friendly bar staff such as Sam behind the bar! Me and my partner stayed for a week on the park whilst visiting Padstow and loved it, had both breakfast and dinner here and enjoyed both with it being reasonably priced and big portion sizes would definitely recommend and with myself being gluten free they catered for me no problem with being happy to swap out items that I couldn’t eat on certain dishes with also having gluten free larger and cider as an option for drinks too! Loved it here and the upstairs sports bar really topped it off even if my team (Leeds) failed to win promotion on the final day

We were staying in a holiday let on site and we were so pleased we ventured into the venue . All the team were really friendly and approachable it had a really nice atmosphere . We enjoyed the bingo which was great fun and the Irish Band . Had breakfast and light bites of the menu both of which we would recommend. .

What an amazing place. The food was very good, tried loads on the new menu. The steak particularly good perfectly cooked. Very friendly staff. Gary and his team made us very welcome, very attentive. especially Katie and Sam. Would highly recommend Gary deserves to do well!! See you next year.

Amazing food and coffee combined with a fab night playing bingo! I’m currently working my way through the menu which has recently changed and offers such a wide choice. Photo is the haloumi ciabatta, I’m not vegetarian but it was delicious. Well done The Venue family you guys are the best!

We have been here 3 times during our holiday. We had breakfast, the carvery and dinner/bingo, all the food we had was lovely. We have been here previously when under different owners and our experience was awful so we are really happy that it is being run so well. Our family favourite is a little card game called sticky 13 that they run between bingo. Would definitely recommend and we will 100% be returning.

Recently went to the Seven Bays holiday park over bank holiday. We ate here and the food was gorgeous! We had scampi, fish and chips and the pizza and all were lovely, great homemade pizzas especially. We also came back in the evening for the bingo and the entertainment which was great. We came to this holiday park not expecting any entertainment but we have loved it! It is intimate, the staff are lovely and the food is fantastic. Really reasonably priced as well!

Great place to visit while holidaying here in Cornwall. Visited many times over the years and the place has always been a great night out. Food is great as is the entertainment. Winning bingo is always a bonus to a good night out too. Great friendly service all around!

This is quite local to us so we have been going here for many years. It has been recently taken over. The new owners are putting effort in to improve it by having more live music and activities etc. we had four meals which arrived in good time and over all the food was nice although the portions were small. Cornish drink brands are available at the bar as well as other brands.service was good and the new owners are friendly . Only negative I would say is the pricing for drinks and food.

Went in for fish and chips to take away, which we felt were very over priced considering they weren't even freshly fried and came with oven chips. We were cherged nearly £15 per person. (the same as the eat in price) Think it should have been 20% less. Rick Steins fish bar only charges £10! Staff were polite and friendly.

Great venue, really really cheap drinks, decent food and all the sports channels! Best bar in the village these days! Only down side is the lack of choice on drinks and wine, but when it's this cheap you don't care!

I’ve just been for a carvery at The Venue and I can see what other people were raving about! I had the most beautifully cooked pink roast beef, a lovely big yorkie, lovely veggies and roast potatoes and really tasty gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t recommend highly enough. I’ll definitely be having this again. And thank you to the lovely staff who are always really friendly and welcoming.

Staff were friendly and polite but the place just lacked a bit of atmosphere. More 60’s social club than a cosy pub but it functions well for drinks and although we didn’t eat there I’m told the food is excellent. Appearance is clean but our table was sticky to touch. Such a shame it didn’t live up to what we’d been told about it.

Went for Sunday Carvery, excellent service, was pipping hot, chef was very polite and friendly, plenty of meat if u wanted it, also apple crumble was delicious, bar staff very nice too would definitely use again the plan e was nice and clean, toilets were spotless clean, very impressed

Lovely carvery, roast beef cooked to perfection (a little bit pink). Place has benefited from re-decoration under new ownership. Its spreading good reputation is well merited

Had a carvery with very hard roast potatoes cauliflower cheese which was hard had no cheese anywhere near it and very bland the beef was disgusting carrot's where OK the guy serving was doing the best he could on is own but waited a good while then 20 minutes later I was sick and the rest of the people I was with where unimpressed with the meal

Great club house, staff are really friendly and love dogs, they will walk around fussing your pouches and give them treats, the food is great and are good portions and about the average price you would pay anywhere else, I would recommend the Sunday carvery, I did think that was a little bit expensive compared to anywhere else we go but it was very nice and saves you travelling to somewhere else to find one.

Was recommended to go here. Wonderful carvery, beef was so tender.would definitely go back when we are in cornwall again in September. All cooked to perfection,, and staff very friendly

Love this little place it’s just not what you think .it’s cosy very nice carvery value for money always entertainment on staff are friendly will visit again definitely.. it must be good when people from caravan sites in the area all come to the venue it’s well talked about good work guys and gals

Dropped in to see Gaz, Ron and Hannah, booked for Sunday Carvery, WOW, Meat was superb with a choice of 3 perfectly cooked choices, Cauliflower Cheese, Roasted Carrots, Crispy Roasters and some other veg that all looked perfect. Possibly the best Carvery I've ever had and in a lovely setting. Well done to the team.

We decided to eat here last Sunday and try out the carvery. Fantastic. Since Gary, Aaron and Hannah have taken this place over they have really turned it around. There's a great atmosphere, and really good to see the locals coming back. Well done guys, keep up your hard work.

We spent a wonderful New Year's Eve at The Venue, it was well organised, the buffet was excellent and the entertainment was brilliant. The carvery on New Year's Day was to die for. The Venue was recently taken over by the new owners and it has been totally refreshed giving a great warm family and friends atmosphere on the ground floor with a simplistic but quality food menu that includes a takeaway option and also a Sunday carvery. Upstairs is smaller sports bar that also has a pool table and dart board as well as Sky Sports. The owners and staff are genuinely warm and accommodating, and no, I do not work there, but travel down from Bristol to relax on the park! Thanks. Andy

So glad we got the last table available, this was a proper roast dinner, the beef tender, succulent and cooked to perfection, veg and gravy superb, by far the best home cooked roast dinner I have had in a very long time!! Go try it...
