Amazing food all round. I’d say the pizza is definitely the clear winner though, being made all fresh! I was always amazed at the size of the sauce pot that I ordered additionally. They offered a great variety of pizzas and they catered to a large group perfectly! Service was brilliant and I love the little bar that’s out there as well!

Stayed at the campsite at The New Inn. Lovely small pub with good beer and food including gluten free options. Only 8 tables inside but more outside with limited opening hours so best to book as the food is worth it. Grass field out the back with ehu and water, shower and toilets needs updating. There was a blockage in the elsan drain but that was fixed after a couple of days. Plenty of good walks to other pubs along the Kennet and Avon canal and only 2 mile walk into Devizes on a good byway.

We had an absolutely incredible break here this weekend, the best we’ve had in years. I drove to the location late at night on a Friday, so finding the house initially was a little nerve-racking, but that was due to my own inexperience (parking, too, is a little tricky but the instructions provided are very detailed and helpful). Once we found the property (we stayed at No8 in room 2), we had an absolute blast — many thanks to Simon for all help and guidance and a great stay.
Before the room, I have to give a shout-out to the breakfast and the refreshments provided, the chocolate truffles are some of the best I’ve had in my life (I don’t even love truffles, but these were irresistible). The overnight oats pot is also great and so delicious. A lovely breakfast, but the chocolates are just next level.
The room is gorgeous, has the atmosphere and facilities of a 5-star hotel (better than most of those, frankly). The bath, shower, fluffy mats and the heated floors, as well as the lighting, were to die for, and it was great to have an armchair in the bathroom to be able to sit and talk. We will most definitely be back and had an absolutely great time.
Ordered take away at 6pm and was told there was a backlog and our order wouldn't be ready until 8.15pm which was fine by us.
We turned up at 8.15pm to pick up the order and at 8.30 were told that they had given our order to someone else and we could wait for the other person to bring it back if we want or they could cook it fresh which would take another 20 minutes.
Obviously we asked for it to be cooked fresh because we don't know when or who took our order and when they are coming back with it. It was 8.56pm when we finally got our food.

Really lovely place to have a pint. The locals were very helpful when we asked directions up onto the hill.
Little matter that we were drenched and frozen on the top 😊
Such a shame this place shut down. It was unbelievable. The best food and service I've ever had. I'm sure it was the location that killed this place off.
A great cafe with amazing cakes, light lunch and coffee. In desperate desperate need of atmosphere though. Very quiet even when full and could be transformed by so quiet music or something to create a buzz as it’s still verging on an old fashioned tea room.
Our favourite place to relax with a hot drink and a pastry, lots of options available for every appetite along with beverage selections.
Dog friendly setting with plenty of seating, always spotless & staff are quick to clear up tables ready for the next customers.
Star of the show today was Jasmine, service with a smile, gave great advice on the food & drinks menu and looked after us very well 👌
Highly recommend
