Stayed at the campsite at The New Inn. Lovely small pub with good beer and food including gluten free options. Only 8 tables inside but more outside with limited opening hours so best to book as the food is worth it. Grass field out the back with ehu and water, shower and toilets needs updating. There was a blockage in the elsan drain but that was fixed after a couple of days. Plenty of good walks to other pubs along the Kennet and Avon canal and only 2 mile walk into Devizes on a good byway.

It's one of the best pubs I've been in, in over 10 years, very friendly locals and the food was amazing, fresh home cooking at its best. Will visit as much as possible. 👌🏻

Had a fantastic rabbit pie, the pastry was a bit soggy for my liking but the flavours of the rabbit and the sauce were great and made up for it. The beer was well kept too. I'll be back :)

We stayed here on the camping and caravan club CL (Belonging to the Pub), which is a large flat field with the usual facilities. The cost of our 2 night stay was very reasonable, we also had the choice of electricity or no electricity which is quite rare today. We also had a great meal in the pub (The New Inn) Run by a lovely friendly Landlady. The pub itself has several outside areas as well as a garden and is of old style interior.

Went to a 60th here on Saturday, 5th August. It was great. The buffet was lovely. Great place. We camped there overnight. There were basic facilities, but what more do you need. Lovely peaceful place to wake up in. I'd go again .

A good traditional English village pub, which hasn't been turned into a make you feel guilty for not eating sort of pub. Off the beaten track with a good community spirit.

I like this pub, in a tiny village called Coate. Beware, it appears to be only open from 5.30pm week days.

Great pub in Coate near Devizes, Great food, nice people who run it, But it does not open to 5pm every day and does not do sunday Lunchtime because it opens after 5pm but I do not know if that it been winter/Spring time opening times. There is a camping field out back and friendly Chickens that come visit you that belong to the pub and a pub garden which leads to the camping field. And their a bus service that runs in the village but you have to ring them up and they will pick you up at the pub and drop you off. The bus goes to Devizes 101or 102 £2.50 return in the daytime? I did enjoy my stay and the pub hope to go there again soon.

Nice snug pub, with likeable, feisty Aussie landlady, serving decent beer and more than adequate range of tasty food. Now serving full-to-the-brim pints, so you are deserving of 5-stars Heidi!

This is a lovely pub, managed by two cheerful happy ladies. The menu is varied and changes regularly. The food is very very good. A great selection of beers ciders and wine. I had Thatcher's haze, we had our meal then sat outside in the undercover area . There is also a camp site attached,so we'll take the camper and make a night of it one day. A very enjoyable evening out. 👍👍🍻

This is a nice country pub spoilt by the land ladies rudeness. When my wife asked if they sell small bottles of wine she sharply retorted that we are not a hotel. If we hadn't had a friend with us I would have told her that I know of three local pubs that sell small bottles of wine but I had to bite my lip. Although we like visiting country pubs this will not be one of them.

WOW What and unfriendly welcome! Attracted by the 4.5 start favourable review I cycle to this pub and receive the opposite of hospitality. Billed as open-- I cycle all morning to what appears to be a superb pub experience -- Ho wrong was I !!! As I waited outside to gain entrance I was snacking on a boiled egg and rudely and unpleasantly told to "get off the premises" despite stating that I was here to enjoy the pub I strongly recommend you and everyone you know to avoid this pub whilst you have breath in you body and choice.

£4.40 for a lime and soda. That’s why you get 1*. Even if the soda was out of a bottle, how can you justify such extortion. Ridiculous!

Great Staff try very hard here to make the difference. Hence 5 Stars ! Burgers (when they have them) are very good indeed and the omelette as a substitute for my burger was excellent ! Possibly best small side salad from any pub Ever ! Onion rings were a mixed bag (literally) but that’s by the by a really nice pub run by really nice people who actually give a toss about what they do! Thanks for a great afternoon all x

Lovely little country pub with friendly helpful staff. Of particular note is the Bakewell pudding, a most delicious delicacy from the Northern town of Bakewell. An undeserved second in popularity to the Bakewell tart. Served here cooked to perfection. I recommend this establishment to all.

Unfortunately unable to review accomodation, food or service as we were double booked. Apparently landlords wife responsible for this so she was summoned. Landlord then completely ignored us and didnt even offer us a seat let alone an apology, this was left to his wife. She didnt seem well and was apparently in hospital at the time of our booking. She went away, 20 mins later produced £140 to cover the cost at premier inn who had ample availability and she had phoned them. Premier Inn denied any phone calls from Helen. They had one room which went whilst we were trying to book it. Plenty of certificates of awards, shame they are so old and tatty like the pub. I hate being lied to but rudeness, lies and facing a night in the car... Dont book here, disgraceful performance. Tired and niaive, should have insisted they booked it in front of us! Took the edge off Bath Christmas market tbh!

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Toilets and rest of premises are really clean and can’t wait to visit again

It’s the first time for years that I’ve been for a meal at The Agra. It was always good previously but I was blown away by the experience tonight. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and the decor had been updated and was elegant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had sweet chilli chicken with rice which was wonderful. I was in a group of 4 adults and a child and we all chose a different main course after sharing a selection of starters. Each dish was amazing and only my grandson could manage a dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will look forward to going back.
