Il Camino Italian Restaurant in Wiltshire

The food was delicious and good sized portions. Great vegetarian options but I wish there were more. The staff were all lovely. Reasonable prices and well worth the money. Would definitely recommend.

I was staying in West Swindon for 1 night and was looking for a restaurant for pizza or pasta. Going into Swindon there were the standard chains and possible problem with parking. Il Camino was a short drive with easy parking along the street and well worth the visit. They had a good selection inc vegetarian which I was looking for. I didn't have a desert though these were reasonably priced and an appetising selection. I would certainly come back again.

I absolutely loved Camino's The staff were extremely professional and friendly. They allowed us plenty of time to order and were quick with delivering our drinks. The restaurant itself is well decorated and quite cosy. Good for any date or family meal. Definitely kid friendly. After tasting the food I was taken away with how amazing it was. We went on a Thursday evening and with the quality of food and experience I was surprised with how little customers there were. I will definitely be coming back again!

Food is always fantastic and only matched by the service. Can't praise these guys highly enough!

Good food, very disappointing service. Kept waiting at every stage of our meal. Even after asking for the bill, the waiter spent time chatting to friends/family instead of bringing it over to us. Shame as we'd read some good reviews of the place; but we won't be going back again.

Unassuming fantastic, would not expect such outstanding quality from the outside but was truly a hidden gem!

We visited on New Year’s Eve with friends, on arrival we received a lovely welcome and was shown to our table. It’s a lovely restaurant and had a lovely warm wood burner going, perfect for the cold evening. The waiters were really helpful and we ordered our drinks and food which arrived quite quickly, The food was amazing as was the bottle of red we chose. Pudding was delicious too. We really enjoyed our visit and we highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food is always 5 stars. Service can be a little slow, but the staff are always pleasant . Seem to be guaranteed a decent, reasonable, priced neal

Good food, delivered by a genuine Italian man! If you compare them to what's about in Bassett/Swindon etc then i'd say they're a notch above a lot of the other options. Give them a go!

First time at this restaurant and I was very impressed, friendly staff and lovely food. Authentic Italian menu and the steaks are delicious and cooked to your liking. Will definitely be returning for round 2.

Busy place, had to wait to get a table. Food was good, would return.

Carbonara and arancini were alright but the flavourless, flat piece of cardboard masquerading as ‘garlic cheesy bread’ was honestly disgusting! not one of us wanted to eat it so it went in the bin. Profiteroles were really nice but you only get 3 :(

Enjoyed a family celebration here 10 of us, ages ranging from 1 to 75. Delicious food, excellent service, everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

We were a group in town for 2 days and were looking for somewhere to eat and have dinner. Whilst walking down the high street II Camino was spotted by my partner, who suggested we try the Italian for dinner. Wow, what a wonderful find. The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and excellent service from the moment we walked in. It was not too busy when we arrived and we could choose where we wanted to sit. Our waiters were very friendly and just couldn't do enough for you. The food was on point, so tasty and plenty of it and very well presented too. I decided to have pizza which was absolutely yummy, well made and massive. It was that good, I finished the whole thing. Everyone else had the spaghetti or tagliatelle pasta which they all rated very highly and my sister in law had the lasagne. 10 out of 10 for all dishes and I must add the lasagne looked absolutely delicious. This restaurant was a good find in town and we will most probably visit again when we are back in Wootton Bassett.

Outstanding food, wish I lived closer

One of the best pizzas I have ever had. very authentic, lovely flavours, cooked perfectly. all the toppings were fresh, not pre packaged items. The dips were also incredible. Again these are freshly made, not store brought, highly processed items. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning!

Had a lovy Mothers Day meal here. Sadly a bit quiet and sad that they normally aren't open on Sunday but opened for Mother's day.

Had the most wonderful dinner this evening for mother's day. Visited with my partner and son. Food was absolutely delicious fresh and reasonable price. Lasagne was the best we've ever tried - Thank you ! The staff were friendly and could personally reccomend dishes. My only request is that you offer a children's menue - the same items but in smaller portions. My son is too small to manage the adult portion but too big to share some with me ! We look forward to returning and can't wait to try dessert !

Popped in for an early Sunday dinner and it was delightful. I would definitely recommend the arancini to start and the Seafood Linguine for main, so much seafood and super filling. Great service and friendly staff.

It is not a big place, and one can feel right like home. The presentation and quality of food here is second to none. Definitely a place to return to.

This evening we rang up 5 mins before we arrived to check if there was a table for 3 available and there was (just before 6pm). My 5 year old who is a fuss pot enjoyed his pizza very much. I had seafood linguini and it was faultless. My partner had 4 meat pizza and demolished it. The garlic bread was tasty too. Drinks were lovely too. Service was faultless - attentive and friendly. Atmosphere friendly and relaxed. We will be returning and highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

First time in the restaurant and there will be many repeat visits. The mains were excellent from the fillet steak to my chicken pasta (great flavours). The cheesecake desert was sublime - I fail to remember when I tasted better. Service was excellent. A true unexpected delight

4th visit to this Italian restaurant, gets better with every visit, great food, friendly helpful staff, who are always ready help explain what on the menu if your unsure what to choose, but I can guarantee it will be a delight to the eye but best of all it will be a delight to your taste buds.

A very reasonable Italian restaurant. The pizza was perhaps a little thicker than we like, but was crispy and light. The garlic bread was a pizza in its own right, covered in garlic. And the aubergine parmigiana was a lovely consistency, though could have done with more cheese.

Food was okay but had been clearly sat for a while before we got it, possibly multiple deliveries at once? As such, the food was largely cold/tepid and not as good as it should ha e been. It took 30 mins for the restaurant to phone to say an item was out of stock so clearly not being prepared straight away. Before ordering advised it would be 45-60 mins but once order placed said 60-90 mins. Would go again, but not in a hurry. We thought an e.g. M&S meal for 2 was better quality but it would be half the price.
