Always first class attentive service and fantastic food.

Ok , so I'm giving this an average review . We came in for dinner last night and I cannot complain about the service , it was excellent. Our food was good. But the portion sizes - I do think the restaurant would benefit from telling people how big the portion sizes are. We could have easily shared a curry and a portion of rice , but we just didn't know until it arrived how much food we would be getting. £60 , we could have easily spent £30 between us and been full and not wasted what we did . Other than that , if you're in the area and fancy an Indian it is well worth it , as the quality is there.

Great for takeaway, consistently good food

It is disappointing to write this review because despite the meal being delicious and the staff being excellent we were sadly disappointed to realise at the end of the meal that all the prices quoted on the menu didn’t include the VAT. So when the bill comes, they add on the VAT and a 10% service charge, which I have no problem with the latter. (And apparently it’s optional to take that off). However, most restaurants, if not all -show the price complete with the VAT. I don’t feel the restaurant is being transparent about their prices in a deliberate effort to draw people in. And I’m all about transparency. So until that changes I won’t be returning.

Got a takeaway for 5 One if dishes being Himalayan chicken which so. Said very good as was the lamb rezeka Unfortunately the chicken In the passabda was so tough as to be inedible Would not go back

Very nice desi halal food, really friendly service, highly recommended

Really disappointed. Garlic chilli chicken, chicken Madras and Masala all tasted the same - like some sort of bland English stew. Tadka Dal was like a runny yellow sauce, no texture, no garlic flavour. Bombay potato was just oily boiled potato, again with no flavour. The only saving grace was good onion bhaji and decent poppadoms.

We were staying in the new forest lodge next door, on the Friday night we could smell the food when we arrived and it smelt delicious. We decided to get a takeaway to eat in the apartment on the Saturday night and all I can say is WOW! When ordering the staff were really polite and welcoming, prices were great, it took 30 minutes for the food to be ready. The food tasted amazing and there was no faults whatsoever. The portion sizes of the curries were fantastic. I would highly recommend to anyone who is staying near by.

Lovely, lovely meal. Served by very polite team of staff When ordering, our eyes were bigger than our tummies. And so we were provided with tubs to take the left overs home!

Lovely curry place and certainly gives you plenty of food and the food is top notch. They do takeaway as well if you are wanting it at home. We will definitely go back again but will order less next time!

First time to visit this Indian and enjoyed the food and service was very good. Good drink list and nice menu. Premises were clean and well looked after.

Very friendly staff. Clean and tidy restaurant. The food was very good however I would have preferred my Chicken Madras to be a little hotter. Had a Chicken Patia this time and it was Fabulous with a nice heat would definitely recommend😋

Wonderful restaurant, gorgeous food and attentive staff. You will be well looked after at the Royal Jaipur. The portion sizes are very generous and the food is delicious! Compliments to the chef on 30th May - everything was cooked superbly and we can't wait to return!

This is easily the best Indian Restaurant within a ten mile radius. The food is fresh, beautifully cooked, and the staff are friendly. So lucky to have this restaurant nearby.

Tried for first time. Meal was prompt and service quick & attentive. Menu extensive. Dishes unfortunately were average in their taste and did not stand out for me in terms of taste. Overall an okay experience

We’ve always had a lovely meal at Royal Jaipur. Staff always very friendly and obliging. Have always got the seats I requested. Great location too, just off the A36. One suggestion, add hot chocolate to the drinks menu 😀

Never fails to disappoint. Food is always excellent, portion sizes great & the staff are so attentive & friendly.

I've only ever had take away and the family all enjoy the food, nice staff when we go in and collect. I'm sure the restaurant service would be very good too.

Fantastic food and very good service. Staff are warm and friendly so enjoyed dining in. We still enjoy takeaways and the love from the staff. We absolutely love being treated as family. Takeaway is still cooked to the perfect standard as though we are dining out

On holiday and picked up a takeaway, staff were very friendly and food was absolutely amazing would highly recommend!

We booked for dinner as spending a few days here. The menu is varied. There was a nice atmosphere quite a few people dining. The poppadoms were lovely. The meal was superb. Jaipur salmon was delicious. Big portions . We couldn't manage a desert or even coffee. Very reasonably priced we thought. And as I said fantastic service five stars!

This is our go-to Indian restaurant and can't fault it. We are usually there early with children, so can't comment too much on the atmosphere.

Really friendly bunch in here. I came in on the way back home from a rugby match with cramp and they were kind enough to look after me, offer a pint of salty water and chat. These are people that are genuinely kind and the food looked absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend enough - thanks!

A great place for curry lovers. Conveniently located along a main road. I have not had the chance to dine there yet but had ordered takeaway food on several occasions. A great menu choice to suit all tastes. Apart from the King Prawns items, the portion of all dishes was very generous. The chef seemed to read my mind and always put plenty of sauces in the boxes. For takeaway, the ChefOnline system is easy to ise. You will be alerted and given clear pick up time and instructions.

The food was delicious. The service was fantastic. The owner was extremely nice. We enjoyed having dinner there and we recommended to anybody who is looking for a delicious dinner in a very nice place. Couldn’t have been better.

What an amazing curry from Royal Jaipur tonight. Been many times before and always amazing food but tonight I am so grateful for amazing customer service. I phoned to check about curries that might be milk free for my husband and daughter for a takeaway we were having with friends. They were so helpful and I was told they could make a dairy free Tikka Masala. Very happy hubby!! The chef even phoned me back to check… and advise me on the milk content of the rest of my order. Lovely place 😍

Amazing food and customer service was great!

Honestly this is the best Indian food I've had in a while top quality, taste and service next level. I came late to closing time and they managed to accommodate me reluctantly. The service was amazing tho, due to being on tight budget for work ordered poppadums, naan and chicken dish with a beer. Asked to pay for poppadums separate but they gave for free as this kept me on budget. Quite simply the best Indian food I've had at a restaurant in a long time and trust me I'm Indian so I like to think I have rough idea of what good authentic Indian food should taste like. Excellent 🤠

Nice Indian food, the menu is quite large. All the dishes we tried were very tasty. Service was very good. The waiters knew the menu well and were able to easily recommend various dishes for someone who is dairy intolerant. A nice meal in a nice atmosphere.

Sheer customer care and fantastic food. One of the best Indian restaurants I have been too with a very relaxed atmosphere. The waiters are very professional and make it a luxury dining experience. One of the waiters also noticed our candle was on its way out, and was replaced promptly without us even mentioning!

Really friendly relaxed place. Good menu. Good choice of drinks. Prices in line with expectations. Good size portions. Good wine menu and desserts. Defo a good place.

Great pub and service from start to finish saheed was amazing from booking right the way up to end of service! Me and my team had An amazing time! The food was amazing! Decently priced! Great portion sizes! Just all round great experiance highly recommend!

Fantastic food and very friendly staff

My first real venture into Indian food, this experience was awesome! The service and staff were charming and the food was delicious. We ordered takeaway, so I can't really speak for the atmosphere, but my guess is that it's a wonderful experience as well.

Friendly staff, very accommodating as we had a young baby in pram too. Prompt & efficient service. Food was really tasty, fantastic menu choices, generous portions. Would definitely return & highly recommend them to others. Alongside the A36 with plenty of parking spaces.

I don’t understand the good reviews. The worst Indian food we’ve ever eaten! Zero flavour and zero spice. We were so disappointed. Even if you don’t like chilli you would expect flavour and there isn’t any in any of the dishes. Mixed grill - small portion, dry, over cooked and all bland Raitha - lazy cut cucumbers sprinkled over yoghurt with zero flavour. All curry’s we ordered and we ordered 6 - none with chilli and none with flavour. Only Indian spice that was obvious was turmeric. Tandoori roti - undercooked and had to ask for it to be remade. If you want authentic fresh Indian food this is not it.

We ate here twice last year while visiting England from the US, and are still talking about how good it was!

I have to admit. I had the flu and look, honestly, Im not sure it was this restaurant. But by gumbo was the food delish. There's not many faster ways to clear the sinuses. I think maybe I had a Naga? Who knows, great stuff, attentive staff **** amen xxxxx

The food can be a little variable. But only between good and great. Welcoming staff and the location is great for the surrounding rural community.

We have been very impressed by our recent takeaway experiences here. Their online ordering system works extremely well and the staff are helpful and friendly. However, on this occasion, we found the food was generally lacking in spices, particularly the King Prawn Rogan, which we expected to be medium hot and tomato-based. Instead it was rather bland and pale in appearance and taste.

Had passed this curry house for a number of years and on the weekend we visited with friends for the first time. Was really blown away with the quality of the meal. Great, friendly service and plenty of parking. Will definitely be coming back.

Booked for Valentine, and was not dissapointed . This was our third time at the royal jaipur and as always it was excellent . We love the food here . They had really made an effort with heart balloons and a complimentry rose for the ladies . Excellent food and service , great value for money. One of our favorite places

A large Indian Restaurant situated just off the main Salisbury - Southampton road. Plenty of parking. No booking required when I visited early on a Friday evening. We had a table for 5, overall the quality of the meal was disappointing. For example, lime soda was a small glass of soda water with a dask of lime cordial. No fresh lime or ice in sight. The lamb tikka masala sauce was good, but the lamb was tough and difficult for our elderly guest to eat. The Haryali chicken was also cooked too long and was on the dry and chewy side. Garlic naan was plain naan with perhaps a small amount of garlic butter applied (it was difficult to tell as the naan was not moist and I am not sure the garlic taste didn't originate from the main dish). Onion bhaji was ok as were the poppadoms and pickles. Overall, lots of staff but disappointing food, at least for those menu items we chose.

Very attentive, food was excellent...really good ingredients and freshly prepared. We had the tikka grills so loved the fact the meat was well cooked and the vegetables excellent. One of the best i've had for a while so quite happy!

I visited the restaurant yesterday with a friend! When we entered the restaurant had more staff than guests! We had plain poppadoms which were soft! I ordered the railway lamb curry together with a paratha! The curry arrived in a dish and was only 1cm deep! The paratha arrived burnt and looked more like a chapathi! I complained and the waiter just walked away!

Delicious, and when I asked for something to be made mild, it was still very flavourful yet not too sweet as happens sometimes with mild food. Everything tastes like it is made just right, and well balanced.

The food was as always outstanding. It was alittle quiet on the evening event in but Thu hd a lot of takeaways collected. Staff were friendly and helpful but cleared the table alittle quickly and someone hadn't finished. We were able to take our meals away wit us to enjoy at home. Would highly recommend.

We are on holiday in the area and found this gem of an Indian restaurant via trip advisor. We had a takeaway as we are staying nearby and the kids are in bed. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and chicken bhuna. They were delightful, the meat was so tender and the taste of the curry was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone looking for a takeaway in the area. I’m sure the experience in the restaurant would be just as good if the food is anything to go by. My wife pulled up and was on the phone so a gentleman came out to the car with the ordered food, what better service could you ask for when ordering a pickup takeaway. Would 100% visit again if in the area.

Just the best Indian food. You won't be disappointed.

This has been one of the best Indian meals that I have had. My diet is limited, so the grilled salmon with a dry sauce was ideal, and it was delicious. My husband had chicken stuffed with minced lamb and he was happy! Service and venue were both very good. We will be back!

We attended on Friday, 29/4/22 The staff were attentive, super friendly, the food was fast and tasty with a menu deviating from the 'local' Indian with a range of dishes. Unfortunately my partner, youngest child and I, whom all described out intolerance to gluten and lactose, got quite poorly. From our experience it seems to be a lactose contamination although we are not certain. We were really clear, the staff helped us pick from the menu around these things but their must have been a considerable amount of contamination because the sickness was not mild. As such, we have to give a 1 star.

Lovely food, with quality meat and ingredients and excellent flavours. My partner and I are dairy and gluten intolerant. The friendly staff took their time to let us know what we could and couldn't eat, and were completely unphased by what is commonly and understandably a difficult thing to accommodate. We'll be back.

The Atmosphere Was Superb The Minute You Walked In The Door, And The Greeting's From Khan and Raj Were Exceptional, So Friendly.

Really enjoyed our visit. Had been out all day with the family. We were all hungry. Given the time it was really quite and food arrived nice and quick. It was delicious. Not a single reason to moan. We then had pudding and some drinks. Everything went well and by the time we left several more tables had arrived. We left some items by mistake but one of the staff ran out to us with them, which was really nice. Definitely would recommend.

We have not been a regular of the Royal Jaipur, having takes outs about once every 2 months. Like many we had a take out on New Years Eve. The food was not good with no one eating the starters and no one enjoying their mains. We put it down to it being the the rush on New Years Eve. So at the start of February we thought we will see if the quality of their take outs was back to normal. Unfortunately it was not. The Chicken Biryani was more of hunt the small flakes of chicken swiming in a bland source and the Jalfrezi was just flavourless source with little meet. Such a shame, we will not be using this place again.

By pure luck we have discovered this great Indian restaurant when were staying in New Forest lodge last weekend. We were warmly welcomed right from the beginning and well looked after during our dinner. The food was delicious. 10 out of 10 to the chef! The staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. The opening times are Tuesday to Thursday from 5 pm to 10 pm. Saturday and Sunday from 5 pm to 10:30 pm. Sunday from 5 pm to 9:30 pm. Monday is closed. The car park just outside of the restaurant. They have also tables outside ( weather permitting of course!). We have spend great time there and definitely recommend it!

We all enjoyed our evening at the Royal Jaipur, the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday evening, but our group of 20 was well looked after by Syed and his team. The food was fantastic as usual.

Fantastic service and the most delicious curry (Chicken tikka rezela) I've had in a very long time. Couldn't fault it!

Food was outstanding quality, very clean and relaxing atmosphere with great service could not ask fo much more for a friendly restaurant.

Driven past 1000 times live 5 mins away in Whiteparish and only just got my first take away from there the other night and what can I say! I shall be going back. My order was on time and met with a friendly smile. Look forward to using again and again.

Went here with a friend as we were staying at the new forest lodge next door. One of the best curries I’ve had in ages, nice service and really reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and if I am back in landlord I will go back for sure.
