Despite a few issues with inproperly cleaned plates and napkins, we found the food very nice ! However, dont expect a nice relaxing experience. The internal ambience was stark, scruffy, and with very bright lighting. Owner did his best to accomodate our issues however I will not be going back.

Popped in with the wife, while visiting the area. Food was fantastic and the staff are really friendly and attentive, can't recommend enough.

Mogul went over and above to accommodate our order and we all felt the food was equally exceptional! Friendly service too! Highly recommended - keep up the great work 😀👍

Best place in Trowbridge for a curry 🍛

Was a great meal been here a couple.of times and never disappointed!

First time trying this place. We had the food delivered. Was nice and hot. Just 2 of us, 2 curries, really good portions sizes, can't fault that at all. My bhuna was really good with a great level of spice and a lovely thick gravy. My only disappointment was the korma, again really good portion size but it had a weird almost plasticy after taste. Could be my taste buds having an off day, i dont know but i didn't enjoy it.

Still sat here eating as I write this! Amazing food!! Probably the best curry I have had, also the service is incredible! My curry order is always quite awkward and they nailed it! First time coming here and I cannot recommend it enough! I don’t write many reviews but this was needed!! The lady (guessing owner) was extremely lovely and accommodating! I have eaten a lot of curries all over the country and this is 100% up there in being one of the best! Definitely come here!!

My wife and I were in Trowbridge to see family. We used to eat at the Mogul when we lived in Wiltshire as for my money it was one of the best Indians I had eaten at. I was delighted, therefore, to find that some ten years later it was still as good as ever. We booked by phone for lunchtime and it seemed that they opened up specially for us. The service followed in the same vein, the owner's son being the waiter. The food was similarly excellent across a range of different dishes. The sad side is that we have nowhere anything nearly as comparable where we live in Devon, but I suspect that we will be visiting the Mogul again when we next visit Trowb.

Ordered from this place for the first time & the food was great, really enjoyed it. The only bad thing that I have to say about the place is that is says FREE DELIVERY in Trowbridge. I live in Staverton which is a part of Trowbridge & was charged a delivery fee. Don't say that you offer free delivery if you're not going to honour that.

The Mogul is well and truly the best Indian cuisine in Trowbridge, it combines a small personal 5 star service, with amazing food that is so packed full of flavor you'd never want to try the whole menu being stuck on one dish. My family and I have been going here for years and I have spread the word to many people I know who have since been converted to the Mogul's food, it's brilliant in everyway. I can recommend the Chicken Tikka tawah, mild, medium and extra spicy are all amazing options, combine that with a garlic naan and pilau or garlic rice(I'm big on garlic) and you'll have a meal that is filling for your stomach, mind and soul. The Mango Chutney Rogan, Jalfrezzi, Kurma, Bhuna and koftas are also all amazing dishes, there's no doubt anything on the menu would be anything but great. I can 10/10 highly recommend this restaurant or even for a takeaway, you won't regret giving them a go, the service in the restaurant is always amazing too, bring a regular of course I always get an extra treat, and discounts for larger tables certainly help for bigger groups wanting a banging meal.

My wife and I came here after we found out that The Lamb wasn’t serving tonight. And what a find! Poppadoms came out with some of the nicest accompaniments I’ve had while we were deciding. I went for my normal - A chicken Saag - while my wife chose the Tamarind Chutney Dansak. It did take 20 minutes to arrive, which was comforting as it meant it was cooked to order. The curries arrived, and the smell was amazing! The presentation was stunning. And the taste! Wow! Both of us have never tasted a curry so good. The spices were perfectly toned against chicken that was fall-apart soft. All in all, a great meal!

We were a group of 6 people none of us liked the food. We ordered lamb Biryani which doesn’t look and tase as Biryani at all. Chicken tikka masala was too sweet and chewy. The mix appetisers was fine but the brawn came smelling really bad that we couldn’t even taste it. My worst experience of Indian restaurant.

Sorry to say that but the place wrote in it Indian food but nothing near that the food not good we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala that was so sweet and it tasted like dessert, Tandoori Lamb Biryani it was no meat in it and no solid, and we ordered Mixed Jalfrezi it came with Lamb, chicken, king prawn, the king prawn was the worst smell ever and tasted not good it looks like expire food. I’m saying that to save your money an another place worth it

Delicious food and a lovey friendly greeting when we entered. Service was a little slow due to 2 staff being off that evening. Owner was very chatty but the trainee waiter was rather quiet and plonked food on the table without any enthusiasm or eye contact. He seemed a bit bored. We ordered the tandoori duck and mogul special curry. Took about an hour to arrive but was worth the wait. It was later explained the the duck had to be marinated which proves it was freshly prepared and cooked, but would have been better to be advised of this at the point of order. At the end of the meal we were presented with the bill and some nice warm towels along with orange chocolates. Waited 10 minutes and I then had to go up to the bar to make payment despite clearly showing I was ready to pay at the table. Pricing was reasonable for food but £9 for a baileys and a cobra was a touch expensive. Poppadoms and dips made a nice starter and overall the meal was great value for money, we took leftovers back to our hotel for next day lunch! Would love to visit again when fully staffed and perhaps sample a quicker dish from the vast and varied menu :-)

Absolutely fantastic resturant. Been there a couple of times now the staff are very friendly and helpful, they took me through the menu on items I was unsure about. Service was fantastic and polite. The food is second to none. Eveytime I have been the food has been out of this world. Definitely one of the best Indians I've been to. Would recommend to anyone!

My collection order was delayed. When I arrived at the restaurant, they just realized that I had ordered. moreover, I was not informed and was told it was ready in just 2 minutes. I waited another half hour

Food was good and staff were friendly and helpful. Despite being the only people eating in the restaurant it did take nearly 1 hour for our food to be ready.

Absolutely fantastic meal. I’ve had many Indian meals and this is right up there with the best. Every mouthful was flavourful. Food was well cooked and served quickly in huge portions. Highly recommend and would come back in a heartbeat if anywhere near the area. Thank you so much.

Been eating curry here for 20 years plus and no other Indian compares. Not your usual wishy washy curry that most other Indian restaurants mug you off with. If you want full on tasty curry with none of your usual over priced bull this is the place for you. If pretense influences your taste buds there are plenty of other places that will cater for you these days. 21/11/2021 So glade the Mogul is back and with Tariq as head chef again. Still the best curry I've ever tasted.

Glad to see The Mogul back in town. Definitely the best Indian takeaway in Trowbridge. Wonderfully tasteful food flavoured with delicious whole spices such as cardomom and cinnamon.

I rang up because my partner wanted Lamb Saag & I couldn’t find it on the online menu, the staff who answered the phone was very pleasant, & even though they don’t do the dish ( but 1 like it ) they offered to do it for me. The food was delivered, hot, yummy & earlier than the time I was told ( which was good because I had hungry kids 😂 ) The Chicken Korma was so creamy with big pieces of chicken, the Chicken Tikka was a lovely flavour, & my other half said the Lamb Saag was one of the best he’s ever had. We will definitely be ordering from there again 🥘

All i can say is AMAZING!!!!!. top quality ingredients and flavour. Chicken bhuna balti and chicken tikka madras. Hot, fresh, delicious. Don't go anywhere else. Top job 👍

After being shut down for a while the mogul is back with a vengeance the whole place has had a great clean up and smells lovely and fresh the food is excellent and a credit to Tariq the chef and his band of merry men. And the service and front of house staff are polite and very helpful all in all a great experience 👍

Visited this restaurant just now on 29 July 2019 with family. Disgusted with the food as found insects in tandoori roti, above all not in one !!!!! Has ordered 6 and every single one had multiple insects!!!! Upon informing the manager he denies saying ‘’there are a few flies in kitchen and should be one of it, even at ur house sometime u would find flies in roti’’ Absolutely reluctant and no sense of apology or regret. Rice was also not freshly made, looked old. My parents were along and are old.... can’t really see small things well!! Imagine if they had that food :( I would suggest food authority to take a visit immediately and customers to avoid this restaurant. Never had this experience ever in my life.!!!

Good food, nice guy serving. Be sure to specify the size of the drinks or you will just get the larger more expensive ones. Decor could do with a one over, but it's the food that will keep us going back.

Best curry house we've ever been to and definitely the best in town.The friends and relatives we've taken there always want to go back. Superb food, big portions, friendly staff, nice atmosphere,excellent value. Haven't been disappointed in 13 years of eating there. Don't judge by location etc, it's a great place if you love a curry. Another review says prices are high, I can't agree. Try Sunday and Thursday Deal nights if you're on a budget, very good value.

Got back from a great weekend away with friends. Really fancied a Curry. We have always has good takeaways/food from The Mogul Tandoori. Recently there has been some changes in owners, so was apprehensive to order, anyway, I bit the bullet and ordered - absolutely fantastic! Packed with flavour, the biggest Tandoori/Korma pieces I have seen in a takeaway! Well done to The Mogul :)

Great food and service, prices are fair. Decor a bit tired on the inside. Doesn't look too great from the outside either, but its the food that counts!
