Is this place a real restaurant or does it just identify as a restaurant? It has a sign at the front advertising it's a restaurant and it also had a sign on the front door advertising that it was open. However when my partner and I rocked up at 1420 on Friday 6 September the staff seemed unaware of what they sold or even if they were open. The blackboard behind the counter advertised some breakfast items that finished at 1100 (why??) and under 'sandwiches' there was just one on the 'list', an egg sandwich; when I asked a member of staff if there were any other sandwiches available she had to ask a colleague who said there were no others. I asked for two egg sandwiches but was then told there were none available. When I asked if they had any hot food available I was told 'no' and when I asked if they had any other food available the young lady pointed to three dry-looking slices of cake on open display on the counter. I asked if they were open for trade, which presumably they were given the time, the notice on the door and the presence of other customers sat at tables; the staff member replied "I'm not sure". I do my best to support independent food businesses but when this one closes for good, no doubt like so many of its past contemporaries it will blame others, probably the 'big boys', those who do what they say on the tin and who offer consistent service in accordance with their advertised hours. We went elsewhere and will not stop here again.

Quite pricey, but lovely breakfast sandwich. Very friendly staff. The premises look a bit rundown and unfortunately I have to agree with the comments about customer toilets.... Certainly not a pleasant experience.

I’ve visited here a number of times, the idea is fantastic, however the execution is really poor. Sandwiches are the best you’re going to eat foccacia, great fillings, super tasty but this comes at cost! £12 for a sandwich! The coffee also could be amazing, beans from “girlsthat grind” so it’s definitely been thought out. So I guess it’s all back to my title. The products are great. The bread is great. The ideas are great but the execution is really poor. Every time I’ve had a coffee here it’s been badly extracted, the milk has been scalding hot. Staff look, unorganised, unprepared and pretty much bewildered all the time. The organisation out front is terrible. I’d really love this place to be great. It’s really close to our home and if the execution matched up with the product quality we’d be here all the time. Bottom line it’s all down to basics, a smile when you come through the door goes a long way, as does efficient service with good humour. Add a little bit of expertise on the Coffee Machine and you’d really see this place shine. Unfortunately until they address these issues. It’s just going to be a really expensive sandwich shop and that isn’t gonna work long term.

Wow, what a truly excellent find! We have driven by this place many times but this morning on our way back from France, we needed to stretch our legs and walk out dog. Well firstly we weren't expecting a fully fenced, safe dog field and then even more surprised to find an Argentinian bakery with wonderfully tasty delights inside. Truly grateful to have something a little different on the road side and a real change from a boring old fry up! Looking forward to next pit stop, thank you!

It’s not a Garage anymore, but it’s the best refuelling stop on the A303 by far. We’ve been frequently travelling the A303 from Devon to Surrey and back over a long time and we remember when this was Chicklade services, recently we passed it on several occasions when it was closed, but kept a mental note to visit when we next passed. Today was that day, Surrey bound the car was full of diesel, but we where in need of refuelling with delightful baked loveliness and quality coffee. On entry, the first two things that struck me, where the cleanliness and the radiant smile of the young lady at the serving counter, instantly one felt welcome. Next the wonderful aroma from a freshly baked tray of Sourdough Cinnamon twirls, which hit me like a sledgehammer! Baked to perfection and covered in an intoxicating drizzle of sugary, cinnamony lushness. Ordered two and a bacon roll c/w tea and coffee. Service was polite from all the staff and we didn’t have to wait long. The bacon n egg roll was gorgeous but the cinnamon twirls where the best. After our pit stop, fuelled up like the Williams GP Team, we prepared to hit the road, but I was suddenly diverted towards a stack of stunning Sour Dough Loaves, which meant I was forced to get one to take away, accompanied by another two cinnamon twirls for later!! Got to say everything was first class, coffee was wonderful and prices good. We will be back, congratulations on providing a culinary oasis on the A303. Amid a second rate selection of multinational chain food outlets and garages, you truly shine.👍👍

Stopped here mid journey today. Spacious car park. What a gem! Warm, welcoming and clean with lovely staff. An on-site, visible bakery is on view from the restaurant with fresh bread for sale. A good drinks menu - served in generous sized cups. My pot of tea served just over 2 large cups. Lots of delicious sweet and savoury choices to eat. My freshly made, delicious egg mayonnaise sandwich was overflowing with its tasty, yellow filling. The toilets were spotless. An enjoyable, restful, reviving stop that we’ll certainly make again if passing.

Website showed great promise. Kerbside appeal good, car parking good, service very good ( very helpful and friendly). Strange layout inside as its old building, dining room has no bar. Garden not used to its full potential, only very old tired play equipment for children. Food reasonable, 2 out of 3 meals okay. Third meal of chicken disappointing, either poor quality meat or overcooked or possibly both !!!!! Empty on a nice sunny lunchtime !!! Sorry but would not rush back.
