We visited recently and had a window seat overlooking the Weir. Home made pasta was delicious and generous portions apart from very tiny garlic bread to start. The staff were lovely and friendly. Would have rated this 5* but for the really sticky table, even had to prise the glasses off. I’m sure would have been cleaned if I’d mentioned it.

I second the reviews posted above for April 2025. Sadly the cafe doesn't open when it says it should be and there is nothing on the window or on Facebook to indicate that it is open or closed anymore: no posting since February 22nd. Also on the last two visits the coffee was like water, although the pastries did remain excellent. I can't help feeling that something must have happened. I hope not because it is unique.

I stayed here for two nights to help my friend celebrate a significant birthday, although the hotel was unaware of our special occasion. All the staff, without exception, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, valued and comfortable. The breakfast was superb on both days and I felt that the wait staff and the kitchen worked very hard. The housekeepers looked after our rooms beautifully and we really appreciated the little touches in the rooms: the generous supply of tea and coffee and the coffee maker, the biscuits, the fresh milk (rather than those nasty little pots of uht milk!), and the lovely bathroom supplies. The barstaff were charming and accommodating, and the reception staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. The rooms themselves are lovely, the beds and pillows very comfortable and there's a fantastic rain shower. The location is perfect if you want to explore on foot, only 5 minutes from the station and a short walk to the canal and river walks.

Disorganised. Tables being sat and told of table service but then no one taking orders or giving out menus. Tables were putting hands up to catch the eyes of servers. When people were going in to order due to waiting so long, a server was quite rude. Our drinks came 20 minutes before food. Our order came and both were wrong. Then had to wait another 15 minutes to correct the order. When we did eat, it was ok but not worth the money,

We came after a recent flood and after ordering 3 club sandwiches which come with chips and a cheese toastie with an added portion of chips we were told the chip fryer was broken so chips were not available. Nevertheless, we were charged FULL price for the 3 club sandwiches with NO chips and more disgustingly we were charged an extra £4.90 for chips we did not receive. See the receipt. There are other tea rooms in Bradford on Avon that are worth visiting and you wont get ripped off.

Absolutely awful …. They had nothing on the menus which we wanted and when we ordered you will see what we got on the photos.we waited 1hr 20 mins to get it too!!! The staff kept saying sorry and said no staff in the kitchen - well you should say you can accommodate food then! We only paid for our drinks as the food, waiting time, attitude was appalling!
