Avon Spice in Wiltshire

We ordered through the just eat app, our food arrived hot before the time predicted which was great. Tasted delicious and very generous portions. Only downside was that one thing we ordered was missing. Other than that it was delicious.

Food wasn’t very warm but tasted great.

I have used Avon spice for a long time and there food is really tasty and always delivered on time.

The food was awful - burnt nan and butterfly prawn, badly prepared rice, incorrect main course. Too salty, very poor quality and expensive. We will never be ordering from Avon Spice again - it used to be a good curry but has clearly gone significantly downhill.

Onion bhajis were rock hard and inedible. Tikka masala was watery. Extortionate and really poor

Great food as always, unfortunately one of the curries had completely spilt out all over the bag. this didnt leave a lot left to eat in the container, and the rest of the order was covered in the curry. please be more careful with the packing.

In the past we have had fairly good takeaways from here. But yesterday it wasn't good, the onion Bhaji’s were inedible I’m guessing they had been cooked the day before and fried again they were rock hard and went in the bin. None of the food was up to standard and wasn’t very hot. Cold rice, Nan bread burnt and cold. Some of the chicken tikka very tough. My partner was up twice in the night with the Montezuma’s and feeling sick. We will no be ordering from here ever again.

Delicious veggie options, cooked with less oil as requested. Distinctive flavours and vibrant colours, way better than the brown mush many places serve.

Haven’t used Avon Spice before, despite living in BOA. Will definitely be my place of choice in future. Had a lovely take away - the best I’ve had for a while. As good as any eat in curry I’d say. Top marks.

Great start: food was ready when I got there, and a friendly greeting from the team. Two curries weren't labelled, and we're pretty sure we got them the wrong way round as a result, but honestly, other than that I can't fault it at all. The curries were really tasty, nice quality meat, just the right level of hot. The bhajis were slightly dry, but there was a generous provision of yogurt so all good. The korma (?!) was apparently superb. And a good food hygiene rating. So overall a real win. Definitely will order again.

Great food (as always) but the quoted delivery time was an hour - which is understandable as it was Saturday night. However this was then delayed by 30 minutes and was then a further 30 minutes late. I would appreciate accurate information.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery this evening…. Arrived just when they said it would, piping hot, beautiful flavours and just a bit too much !!! Very generous proportions…! Delicious flavoursome curry and some of the nicest poppadoms I’ve ever had ! Highly recommended

Takeawy should of been delivered at 8.10, contacted at 9 to be told it had been deliivered. I stated it hadnt and the lady said she would speak to the driver. She called back saying it had been delivered to number 20 which we dont have in our street and they would get another meal delivered, which was fine. Then i recieve a phone call from the driver shouting saying he handed me the food and i was called a liar while he was still shouting at me down the phone. They then bring the indian and realise they hadnt been to my address previously and all they could do was laugh i am disgusted with the customer service and will never get food from here again.

Probably the worst prawn curry we have ever eaten. How the restaurant can justify charging almost £10 for a prawn curry of such poor quality is beyond me. To top things off the Nan bread was burnt to a crisp and therefore, inedible.

Beautiful food it was a lockdown birthday celebration and it did not disappoint! The portions are huge the flavours of the the tikki are beautiful! We all had different dishes and all loved it cannot wait to come back! Thank you guys for staying open in these hard time!

FOOD WAS STONE COLD WHEN IT ARRIVED 45 MINS LATER THAN EXPECTED, WE HAD TO WARM IT UP IN THE MICROWAVE. THIS SPOILED IT, THE FOOD ACTUALLY ARRIVED 1 HOUR AND 45 MINS AFTER ORDERING IT, I COULD HAVE MADE IT MYSELF IN LESS TIME. VERY DISSAPOINTED. WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED IF I HAD KNOWN IT WOULD TAKE SO LONG.

Shame. Wanted to support local restaurant and was willing to wait the 60 mins estimated delivery time, but we actually receiving it 2 hours after we ordered. I contacted justeat customer service after waiting 90 mins who were able to give me updates on delivery time, but nothing from the restaurant. When it finally arrived, they knocked very quietly and by the time I opened the door they were almost in the car and gone - no apology or explanation. Everyone is human, and I understand there can be unforeseen circumstances affecting delivery, but the restaurant must keep in touch with the customer. Communication is everything! Food tasted ok when it arrived but was almost cold - everything needed to be reheated

We are a regular customer and love the food, however the delivery service has become very unreliable, and anything for 30-45 mins late. Even, after calling up I was advised to pre order early in the day, this has made no difference, such a shame when the food is so great. They clearly need more drivers on a Saturday evening.

The food was really lovely however, the delivery was awful. Only when I called did they tell me the food would be late. We waited for over an hour for our food.

We ordered at 6:55, arrived 21:10 if not later, no delivery driver was the excuse. We requested a refund but was told to contact just eat. Normally it only takes under the hour and good service but today was stupid. Poor staff having to deal with the complaints.

Lateness was only confirmed by restaurant after the allotted delivery time had been exceeded.

I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone

Really good food, the Bombay potatoes were amazing

Very happy with the food in general but I ordered the Chicken tikka with fruit salad in it. The fruit was definitely off and fizzy. Such a shame a everything else was delicious. I just won’t be ordering that dish again, clearly the fruit turn is not great.

Estimated to arrive at 17:45 arrived approximately at 18:10. However food was lovely.

First time ordering from Avon Spice, and the meal was delicious! Food arrived 15 minutes before ETA from a nice driver.. the mains were great.. tikka masala, jal and generously larger than normal size tandoori tikka chicken! lovely fresh sides.. and most importantly the Naan were some of the best we’ve had! Overall 10/10 and will definitely order again

Incredible! Food was outstanding, everything we had was top notch. Delivery was 10 mins late but it was to Trowbridge from BoA so understandable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely superb, the food arrived early and was piping hot. It was very tasty and came with a nice selection of freebies, will definitely be ordering from Avon Spice again.

I understand they were busy but this should be stated when ordering, or a message should be sent to update the customer. We ordered over 2 hours in advance of our preferred delivery time and it was over an hour late. They were very apologetic but we had to contact them 3 times!

Fantastic takeaway Beautiful food

After waiting over an hour and a half the food arrived cold. The onion bhajis were cold and hard. The lamb passanda tasted like a solid pudding and the nann was completely inedible. I actually spat out the lamb because l couldn't chew it enough to swallow it. It may be pathetic but I really really look forward to a takeaway and this was a real let down.

Love the tandoori chicken it is very tasty 😋

Disappointed. I understand its a Saturday and busy but... Arrived 50 minutes late and was stone cold. Re heated every but the rice for obvious reasons, I can think of easier ways to throw away £50 will not order from Avon spice again.

Side order of Onion Bhaji-stone cold not even warm. Dry n just rubbish Chicken Tikka Bhuna-well the chicken was so dry and the sauce was really dark. Didn’t even manage more than 1 mouthful. Didn’t taste anything bar a base for some other curry. Chicken Tilkka Biriani was ok. Again other half didn’t actually enjoy it. But at least he ate half of his. I just ate the NaN bread with some mint sauce! Not worth the £27.30 I paid for it. Never again!
