A lovely place, great service, and fantastic food... the jungle curry was absolutely outstanding

Brilliant find, we was on a family day out and was looking for a roast dinner. We called at another pub but it seemed it was for locals only. We come across the old bell. The food was amazing with starters and roast beef main. Plus had a band playing in the garden. Will visit here again

Sat in the sunny courtyard! Very nice with lots of plant's. Shared the Thai sampler which was amazing 👍. The pint of 6x my husband had was perfect. Certainly be back. 👌

Spending a couple of nights staying at an Airbnb and needed somewhere local for dinner. Stumbled across this absolute gem of a pub/restaurant which was one of, if not the best Thai I’ve ever had. Every dish was freshly made and the flavours and presentation was exceptional. The waiters and waitresses were very polite and knowledgeable and very attentive. They helped us with the dietry requirements as one member of the family is celiac. The only very minor issue was the delay to a couple of the main dishes but this was not a massive problem and the food more than made up for it. Definitely try this place is you are visiting, you won’t be disappointed!

Enjoyable lunch, eaten out in the courtyard. Only issue was that one meal out of the 6 was not brought out at the right time so one if the party had to watch while we ate and then took her meal home. They were apologetic but nothing off the bill.

I would have loved to give this place a much higher rating, the management team and the staff are really great people…BUT the are a few issues I cannot look past. Firstly, the restaurant is actually located behind a pub with rooms, which you have to walk through, but the signs are not clear. So after walking up to the bar and making ourselves known we were sat in the pub and given menus. Then before we could order we were asked by the manager if we would like to sit in the actual restaurant. We replied yes and were taking through a small courtyard to the restaurant. It was empty but we didn’t mind the quiet as the pub was quite noisy (absolutely normal for a Friday night). We had just sat down and were then asked to move back to the pub was, there wasn’t enough staff to cater for one table in the restaurant. Unfortunately from a service point of view we were happy in the pub they moved us and also the manager should be aware of how many staff are working. The food when it came was excellent, we asked for the dishes to be made a bit spicier and they definitely catered to our request. The food also was fresh and definitely authentic Thai. I would recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for authentic Thai food. Some of the other establishments we saw had too many “other dishes” on the menu and that to me is always a sign the food won’t be great if you are looking for an authentic experience. My only problem with the food here is the price and spending a lot of time in Bucks and London that is saying something. I would not say the food is overpriced but it is steep.

Restaurant prices for cheap takeaway quality. I love Thai food and this place is unfortunately not authentic tasting. Tried it a couple of times now and the food is ok, but way overpriced for what it is. Spent £20 for just 1 stir fry, rice and prawn crackers!!

The food was OK, but nothing special. The order arrived on time, but arrived only barely warm and with lots of sauce at the bottom of the bag. The chicken green curry was very soupy, and the beef massaman curry was very oily. However they both tasted OK. I’m not sure I’ll order from here again

When a friend said he was taking us to dinner at The Thai Chilli I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but I needn’t have worried. The food here is really good. We went for the mixed starter platter which was all delicious. For our main 2 had the chef’s special of sea bass which they enjoyed very much, another friend had the Jungle curry which he said was also very good, he loves very spicy food and said this definitely had a good punch of heat to it. I went for the beef masaman curry with a side dish of noodles. The curry was delicious, sweet and aromatic with a hint of heat and went perfectly with the noodle side dish. For dessert we had the pandan pancakes with coconut which were yummy. I would definitely return again and will recommend to my family and friends.

Pleasant pub/restaurant with Thai/British menu. Real ales. Food was fine, apart from beef in my Green Curry being rather tough.

We booked here for our works Christmas meal. We weren't expecting much after mixed reviews about last year's meal, but we were pleasantly surprised. They had seated us in the old Chimes Bar which felt cosy and warm with the fire lit. The tables were decorated beautifully. The staff were very nice and the table service was great, although this seemed to drop off after they'd delivered our desserts. The starter was good (I has the veggie Thai mixed starter). It would have been better with a drizzle of sauce as it was a bit dry. The ball on the plate was really hard to cut into and bits went flying all over the place, I found it best to pick it up with my hands and bite into it. It tasted nice, though I still don't know what it was. The main looked delicious, though a slightly smaller portion of accompaniments than I would have hoped for. It all tasted great though, and the duck was perfect, with exception of the bit of gristle found at the end. I didn't have a dessert, but I definitely could have fitted it in. It was pricey for a small town pub / restaurant. £23.95 for 1 course, £26.95 for 2 and £29.95 for 3. Not inclusive of the 10% service charge. Overall we had a great time and they didn't once complain about the mouse we were making with our festive games.

I enjoyed the food very much, especially the mixed appetizers, pad Thai and lamb shank massaman curry. However, I felt cheated by the price and the service. They overcharged me compared to what they said on the phone, and the lamb shank curry had hardly any meat in it. I thought it would be a whole shank considering the name and the price. It was a letdown for what could have been a five-star experience.

It's a pub with Thai food as well as tradional pub grab. Apparently Thai chef's The menu has a very limited description, l had Juggle chicken curry with the description of 3 🌶 it was very thin maybe that's the way it was meant to be, not sure where the chicken was almost vegetarian, mostly bulked out with mushrooms, it was too spicy hot for me, l asked for another drink that never arrived. Massamam curry Lamb Shank sauce was lack lustre and again hardly any lamb. The Thai salad was nothing to write home about , special noodles nothing special! We shared Banana fritters and there was a Coconut fritter too, prefered the banana 🍌 I noticed we were one of the first in and a lovely log fire burning, so decided to sit away from the fire nearer the door, the biggest mistake the staff kept walking through and left it open at least 10 times we complained and was told, they have to walk through the door. While we were there quite a passing trade most never stayed around. I do not like service being added automatically although our server was friendly, l asked for another drink that never arrived, l certainly made sure this Card only (Cashless) drink was not added to my cheque. I dine out at least once a week and this place won't be a restaurant l will return to sadly. It's dog friendly but no water bowl although l noticed dog treats on the counter.

Was planning on going in for evening meal but says on the door that it's now cashless. So went up the street instead to Indian.

Top end of the price I would pay, but food was good. Very disappointed they are cashless, as a result probably won't go back. I will not support the agenda

Sadly can't recommend based on my experience. The food was all very sweet, almost sickly sweet. Felt like I desperately needed something savory after. I've eaten an abundance of very good Thai food both in Thailand and outside and sadly for me, this just didn't compare. They also weren't accommodating about quite a simple request made which any other place would be, especially when charging what they do (they had a curry with a specific type of meat and I asked if they could do that same curry which I really like either with a different meat or vegetarian which they said no to) Surely when cooking fresh food this can easily be done? The food did come extremely quickly so that might explain the lack of being able to change anything....

We had an absolutely delicious meal here tonight. We shared tempura vegetable as a start then I had the tofu with cashews which was amazing and my boyfriend had the chicken Thai Red Curry and said it was brilliant. The service was swift and very friendly and informative. Really relaxed atmosphere. I can’t believe we’ve only been here tonight for the first time, will definitely be back. Thank you ☺️

We arrived at the advertised opening time of 12pm to be told the chef did not start till 1pm. We decided to have a drink and wait as the reviews were so good. At 1:20 the Chef had not yet arrived so we paid and left still hungry.

Good food, great Thai chef. Would eat here again and would recommend. During the weekday you eat in the pub, in the weekend in the actual restaurant in the back.

Really poor food and trying to sell this food for the higher end is dreadful. No Thai taste to it at all. Save your money and go to Thai Orchard in a Westbury or ideally a little further a field Giggling squid.

Nice food, but could have had a bit more flavour. One of the starters didn't come out until the other people I was with had finished there's. But overall, we will be going back again.

This place has great food, great service really decent pricing. Definitely worth the visit.

Had a fantastic meal at The Thai Chilli tonight, the food was outstanding. Service excellent and reasonably priced. This was our first visit but definitely won't be the last. I had the prawn tamarind stir-fry with coconut rice....delicious 😁
