As a family, we can not recommend this establishment enough. The Sunday roast was impeccable, the team gave us amazing service. Really polite and professional. Sharon the landlady is very welcoming with her delightful smile, making sure that the experience and service is to a high standard. We would highly recommend visiting, not only for the food and service. But being situated by the canal, the views are amazing five stars 🌟

Arrived at the boat house without booking a table ,was greeted with a smile and shown to an available table which was perfect. Ordered the BBQ Share board which was ample enough for 2 ..Lovely place definitely recommend a visit if you are in Bradford on Avon area .

Disappointed, booked a table for 2 adults & 3 young children. We were told where our table was when I walked in with my nieces, 7 years & under. No one came to take a drinks order or give us menus. My husband went to the bar to order drinks. He paid for the juices for the children. Not informed there are juices available that are included in the kids menu. I had to asked for menus & still no one came to take our order! I asked the waitress if they could take our order. The food was average & the chunky chips for young children are way too big. The service was poor. The waitress cleared our table, she didn’t ask if we wanted desserts & that ice cream is included in the kids menu. I paid £8.95 per child’s meal without a drink or the ice cream that was not offered or served to our table. When my husband paid they charged us nearly £6.00 for service, what service. The restaurant wasn’t busy. The staff were not on the ball or attentive to the customers. I will not be returning.

Fish platter slung together veg dry and great big chunks look liked days old, in a group of four others waited ages for food . Pork belly was pork chop. Chips did not come to meal was finished not even cooked enough! Staff were just uninterested so many tables left not cleared . Staff in kitchen (we sat outside ) we shouting swearing it was just like kids on a weekend camp !! Very disappointed as were others around us .

Location is beautiful, right by the canal overlooking the marina. That’s it for positives. Visited on a quiet Friday lunchtime with my elderly mother and five year old daughter. Service was poor, slow and mainly unfriendly. Food was mediocre and insanely overpriced. Kids menu £9 for a drink (three options but they only had one available), main (we ordered spaghetti and got penne) and two sides (we went for 2 x corn on the cob, only got given one, took c. 30 mins for the second to arrive). Mum and I shared a bbq platter which was 90% bone - barely any meat on ribs or chicken. A bit of dodgy tasting coleslaw and a few limp undercooked chips. Onion rings fried to death so the onion had disappeared. Generally pretty gross. Didn’t bother to stay for dessert, when we paid bill the waitress couldn’t even be bothered to wait for the payment to go through so just left us with the card machine and walked off. Incredibly poor service and food, so much better available in the area. A real let down and waste of hard earned money and precious time. Avoid!!!
