Planned our son's 10th birthday party here. Had use of the skittles alley for all the family to get together which was a great space. All the staff were super accommodating, friendly and service was fantastic. Everyone said how lovely the food was and very reasonably priced. Great pub garden which the kids also played out in.
We will definitely be back (if you'll have us!) 🤣🤣
Our food was very good but not as good as other pubs we’ve been in so that is the reason for the 4 rather than a 5. Otherwise it was a great experience. Owners were very personable.
found these on a face book post , offering delivery on pizza’s to our area . Great Service great food . i had a mascarpone , mushroom and pancetta , i asked for some olives to be added . my partner had meat feast and my son pepperoni . all very nice and arrived hot in boxes . Thank you so much for the sevice . i understand they do takeaway roast dinners on a sunday too .
We visited 2 weeks ago for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the food was cooked to perfection and was all local.
A great pub and I will return very soon.
I would strongly recommend that bookings are made 7 to 10 days in advance for weekdays and 4 to 6 weeks ahead for their amazing Sunday Lunch.
5 stars is thoroughly deserved.
We’ve been to this pub to drink several times over the last few years while on holiday. However this is the first time we’ve eaten there and I have to say, I’m gutted we’ve missed out for so long.
The food was from local butchers and fantastic quality. In our group of 10, no one had a bad word to say.
The staff are brilliant- especially our server- what a great sense of humour he had.
Highly recommended- we will be back.
Well as did several people today we all checked Google and as previously stated pub was reopening on the 10th Feb. Google says they are open today we all arrived 1130 eagerly waiting a warm coffee to a pub closed sign ??????? Builders were quite friendly and even offered to go check. Pure social media laziness most of us were not local and absolutely wasted trip.
We came here for breakfast on a grey Saturday that happened to be my birthday. The service was a bit slow and uninterested. The food was ok but not great. My wife’s bacon & egg sourdough was dry and she had to ask for butter to moisten it a little as none had been used. I had the max English breakfast which was ok but for £16 I thought it would have been better - bacon was dry, only one egg and only one smallish mushroom. The sausages were good though. Good location so will try again.
Lovely food, lovely meal, but most importantly love service provided by our waiter, Ed, he provides us with a lovely experience and will most definitely recommend him and Zizzis to all of my friends and close and distant family. Ed, the skies the limit. 5 stars from me!
Thank you for this experience, will be here again
Great pit stop! Our yearly walk along the beach from Lyme Regis to Charmouth was rewarded with a warm welcome at The George. After yummy macaroni cheese, a couple of pints by the fire and a friendly chat with the landlord we were ready for the trek back to Lyme.
Hadn't booked but as the restaurant was almost empty thought we may get a table it's was around 11.30 so not quite lunch time , asked for a table for 2 ( myself & my 85 year old mum ) young lady said let me check , a young guy then came over said only tables for 2 are bar stools no acknowledgment or eye contact . I said as mum had a wheeled walker due to her mobility that a bar stool wouldn't be possible for her . He literally
Shrugged his shoulders & walked away . I understand it's 1/2 term & you would no doubt hope to be busy over the lunchtime period so allowing 2 people to sit at a table meant for 4 would not be good for business but I felt my mum was discriminated against due to her mobility . The customer service was way below what I would expect as well . It's certainly put me off ever visiting Swim again
