The best restaurants in Torbay South West

Simply the best. We are down from Yorkshire and we've always said that Magpie's fish and chips in Whitby are the best...BUT not any more. These are best we have ever tasted..so we visited here twice in a week. The chips are double cooked the batter is light and crispy..I usually pick off some batter but not this time. The large pot of minted mushy peas (who knew they would go so well) and the curry sauce were divine, as was the home made tartar sauce. Staff were lovely and decor modern fresh and clean with lovely harbour views. You simply must visit this little gem.

Really nice cafe with friendly staff. We had the Angelic cream tea. It easy very nice, but the only thing that let it down was the weird cinnamon bread.

Went last night to celebrate Mrs G,s work promotion. Can’t fault it, the atmosphere, food, service and prices were really great. We will definitely return soon. Thank you. Ps steak night for 2 on Wednesday,s can see a return visit very soon 😋👍

Popped in for a breakfast as didn't know where we fancied going and thought to give chandler's a try. We will absolutely be back, food was lovely and the drinks were also amazing. Staff are super friendly and the whole place has a super homely feeling was a great choice

Never fails to give us lovely food, so not sure what the 1 star was about! Absolutely delicious. Great portions and great value. Lovely staff who were very attentive. Only downside was the time we went,(before 7) with children using phones with games on loud. That was offputting. Will go later next time.

Visit every time we are in Brixham. Food phenomenal as always - chef incredibly talented. Monkfish and prawn curry is exceptional. Small but perfectly formed restaurant - good rotation of special dishes too. See you again in May!

Food is good & reasonably priced, service is friendly & waiting time minimal.

The food is always incredible and the ladies who work there are always so incredibly sweet, even when they are rushed off their feet! They’re also brilliant with allergies and always are amazing with my partner who is lactose allergic (he orders a beef curry)

Amazing breakfast, friendly and professional service. One of the best culinarily experiences I have had in England. Also the prices are super fine. 10/10 ! :)
