Went in for lunch easily found a seat. Menu is good and reasonably priced. Ordered sausage chips and beans it was piping hot and the sausage was amazing. Also ordered panini and a cappuccino which made to how like. Had seen a choc orange cake on ordering so took it away as was to full. Friendly staff, good service and good food. Definitely go again.

This review is not about a visit. This restaurant is excellent place for eating in. However I would like to bring to your attention that due to health issues, some times the owner is unable to open. We come on holiday and book twice a year. However 3 out of our last 4 bookings have been cancelled. We have just been unlucky, but,if you are new to this restaurant just be aware that this could happen. But do not let this stop you from booking, cause once there you will have a great evening.

Blimey! Well we certainly didn't expect that. Popped in for a rather impromptu date lunch on the recommendation of a colleague from Brixham and what can we say. Everything from the view to the staff to the food and drink was exceptional. Really attentive and relaxed staff (who deserved a much bigger tip NGL!!) and the food was sublime. Left feeling so full up we didn't eat anything else for the rest of the day! Couple less potatoes for me next time! Thanks again Shoals we'll be back next time after a dip in that chilly looking lido lol! 🤣👌🏼🤌

Lovely place, I use it regularly, my only slight gripe is that the full English breakfast, which is around £8 something for the large one, the sausage could be a better quality & I would prefer real butter on my toast.

I live in Torquay and after a Gulls game I always have a couple of beers in here, a brilliant atmosphere 👌

Incredible breakfast for a very reasonable price which included a drink. Friendly staff, this is hands down one of the best breakfasts in the south west. We will be back for sure 😋

Tables were sticky,so i asked staff to wipe it down but they were still sticky even after they had! ordered the prawn salad, paid for it then was told 5 minutes later they had no prawns i was really disapointed and wondered why it was so hard to have enough prawns in the kitchen. so i asked for just the salad that was a very sad dish hardly any salad for £13.95 with bits of the end of an onion maybe they had run out of onions as well? i had ( instead of the missing hard to find prawns ) olives and bread, the olives was just cheap nasty black olives and not that many and a larger small dish of way too much cheap olive oil, bread was ok though Staff looked bored & unfriendly and the place was empty, they turned another two customers away saying they did not have what they ordered either, the owner/chef/cook/manager or what ever he is looked like he really did not wont to be at work running his buiness on a sunday at 2pm maybe he was just having a bad day but it put me in a mood spoilt my visit i would not reccomend to my friends and family it was a waste of our time and money My partner had the monkfish and chips which he has renamed gonkfish as it wasnt anything special and the chips were frozen for 15.95 it was hardly value for our money. We decided to visit the sea shack as the reviews seemed pretty good however our experience was nothing like what was stated
