Amazing food!!! A true Indian authentic flavours especially the curries and thalis. And their new exciting flavours in the menu the chilli chicken and fried rice was top notch!.

Lovely regional theatre, great view from every seat. The staff who volunteer are good at what they do . Well worth a visit.

Are you giving it 5stars because you are easily pleased? Because my daughter ordered the very expensive food that she assumed was dry as that's what it said... Came with sauce so she didn't eat any of it, so I did, now the chicken tasted like the smell of wet dog. And she didn't eat her cheesy chips either because it wasn't actually proper decent expensive cheese, it was a cheap nasty nacho sauce. It is delusional that this chain has a higher star rating than a bunch of local takeaways that are far superior cheaper and don't skimp on decent ingredients. I will ensure I spreads the word with who utterly disgusting my experience was with this typical chain restaurant. The only impression I was left with was of the sheer feeling of nausea.

Had a really nice lunch here. Sichuan tofu was great - warmed me up on a dreary day!

My friend treats me to lunch for my birthday & we decided to come here whilst shopping in Taunton. Although we were late customers the waiter staff was attentive & helpful, offering me a taste of the Slovenian Sav Blanc before buying in case I didn't like it, it was delicious so no problem there. We chose our tapas & a guy came to ask if we needed any explanations, turns out he was the chef. Food was really delicious, calamari perfect, chicken Tsukane beautiful, the black cod was divine as was the rest of our choices, thoroughly recommend eating here.

By far the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in my lifetime. The chap running this place is efficient, polite and simply produces the best quality breakfast sandwiches I know. Not greasy dripping, bread/rolls are perfect thickness and softness. The perfect breakfast!

Lovely veggie breakfast until I found a very long hair. Could not finish my breakfast, almost vomited. Owner joked “We might as well shut down” I suggested they could take precautions in food prep’…hair net?

On my walk home I discovered The Coffee Station. It's a relaxed, comfortable pastiche of an old railway station. Staff were friendly and cakes amazing. A great find on my way home.

Great Sunday roast and dog friendly

A friend recommended this place to me for Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. I had the pork and it was absolutely delicious - the portions are very generous and absolutely everything was cooked to perfection. The pub itself is cosy, with an open fire and country feel. The staff were all brilliant and the service super fast. The desserts looked amazing but we were too full to order one - I heard another customer get a dessert to take away which I later wished I had done! The price is really reasonable too, particularly for the amount of food you get - 7 different types of veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. A very generous portion of meat plus perfect crackling with the pork. You can also order extras - we had the stuffing which was also delicious. We will be going back here as soon as possible - best roast dinner I’ve had outside my Mum’s!

We didn’t stay at the hotel but had Afternoon Tea there which this review is about! Poor service as waiters seem to have no idea how to serve. We were rushed to pay as they were finishing for the day. We were not offered what type of tea to have. One of us asked for topping up the water glass while the other two got ignored! They had no knowledge of the place either given it’s a building with some history! A refreshing conversation was with the gardener who has good knowledge of the place, but unfortunately it was too late.
