I really enjoyed this cafe, my partner and I went on a date here and we loved it. Really nice place and the food was amazing especially for the price, the service was wonderful. Nothing negative to comment!

This is a place where friendly staff prepare wonderful food for you, which is always delicious and hot and you never have to wait very long. I have been coming here for many years!

We called for lunch yesterday whilst visiting Taunton and was pleasantly surprised I had Sweet and sour chicken on a jacket potato with lovely salad and homemade coleslaw and my husband had ham egg and chips and both were delicious the staff were very friendly and worked hard the cafe was clean with a nice atmosphere will definitely call again when we are in the area.

We've dined here on several occasions and on every occasion the food and the service have been 5* The staff team are lovely and clearly enjoy what they do and working with each other and that shows in both the superb level of service and the excellent quality of the food ! Thank you too all involved !

I had what sounds like an everyday chicken burger meal, but it was fabulous - very professionally cooked from scratch, and totally different to a fast food version. One of the tastiest meals I've had out for a long time. I'd highly recommend a visit - I'm definitely going back when I'm next in Taunton. Very good energy from the chef and all the staff. I hope this cafe continues to prosper and that they can invest back into the business.

Breakfast was very tasty and the cuppa was great…..served by friendly staff. Obviously they’re doing something right judging by how busy it was. This place was recommended to us by a friend and it didn’t disappoint….will definitely come back again.

I have visited this cafe a few times now. The first time was to ask for a free coffee as I'm homeless and was sleeping in the doorway of Henry's which is an old pub that appears to have been closed down with nothing happening to it. The young lady who works there suggested that they can't do that because the owner or manager doesn't allow it however she did bring me one out about 10 minutes later stating that she paid for it herself. I then visited again yesterday for a breakfast as I had a bit of money and wanted to treat myself to a fry up which is one of my favourite meals. It was almost perfect and was also at a reasonable price for todays prices however I always find a problem with everything (it's what I do) and I noticed that they mention on the menu that it comes with a tomato. I only had half a tomato which I find strange. Tomatoes are literally the cheapest food you could provide and why would you only give the customers half of a tomato and also why wouldn't they be peeled plum tomatoes as they surely keep longer and actually taste better on a fry up. Or so I believe anyway. I visited again today for another fry up and politely said I would like a full tomato as I think the menu indicates that what I should get and they said they couldn't do that because the manager or boss wouldn't allow it. I asked if it was the owner, if the business leased the building and tried to find out more about the monkey they were trying to pass the blame to. I felt that the young lady serving me was agitated by this, didn't know the answers and wanted to rush me on and just get me out the way. At a certain point the other young lady, who bought me the coffee a few days previous said she would pay the extra 75p they were trying to charge me for the extra half a tomato herself! I ended up getting the breakfast I wanted and it was nice. These events alerted me to want to do some more research on the cafe itself and I found what I expected to find. Firstly they don't appear to have their own website which for a cafe on a high street in this day and age is strange. Secondly there doesn't appear to be any limited company attached to this company with this name. Although their are lots of them listed on companies house, none of them seem to be based in Taunton and none of them attach to this actual building. They do seem to be doing a good job as a functioning cafe because they have good reviews on this site which I think is quite hard to do with the general public but the questions around legalities still exist in my opinion and should that cause the public concern. I think it possibly should. Not necessarily with what is happening in the cafe but maybe with who owns the building itself and what is happening in the flats above which appear to have no activity in. This is the case for most of the businesses and flats above these businesses across the whole street.

A tasty, good quality and good value all day breakfast with friendly service. Will definitely return.

Great customer service, a lovely atmosphere, with tasty food and drink at a reasonable price. I'm not sure what more you might want from a café?! Ample seating both in and outside, and the café is completely wheelchair accessible with no steps. Tables and seating are arranged sensibly so no one is falling over each other. Would recommend it if nearby.

Popped into Taunton for a break on the way to Minehead for a short holiday. Sudden rain storm so went into Cafe culture for tea and cake to get out of the rain. Lovely friendly staff and great selection of homemade cake. Wonderful tea blend too. So enjoyable we stopped again on the way home after our holiday. Well worth it for the Yorkshire tea and the Bakewell tart. Thanks ladies.

I meet up with friends at Cafe Culture on a monthly basis. We always receive a friendly welcome, good service and an excellent bacon sandwich. Highly recommend.

My partner and I popped into town after I had a 30 min appointment at Musgrove hosp . So as it was nearly lunch time we popped into this lovely clean friendly cafe. We went upstairs. We had our hot drinks first hot choc which was beautiful and a cappuccino which was lovely as well. We also had two Brie and cranberry panini with small salad and crisp. It arrived quickly it was hot yummy yummy. The staff were so friendly and helpful full. We would definitely go their again.

Was in Taunton and looking for somewhere for a coffee. Passed a few very overpriced cafes and then came across cafe culture. Sat on their sofas for coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely very big mugs, good flavoured coffee and both coffee and chocolate were piping hot. Saw a few dishes being served and was impressed. We will be back , for eats next time

We’ve passed this cafe many times but never ventured in until today. We have 2 double breakfasts with a large latte and a tea. Both drinks were very generous and the breakfast although it took a little while it was definitely worth the wait and again piping hot so was cooked to order which I like! Good quality sausages and bacon, real butter on the toast - prefect! Tables were squeaky clean and the girls was very attentive. I think there were 3 girls working and it was lovely to hear their laughter, they obviously really enjoy their work. We’ll be in again for sure!

Ordered at 12.55 still waiting at 1.25 very slow service and no communication felt like they had forgotten us daughter's cucumber was very dry and baked beans were only lukewarm

Not a bad little cafe and we would come back again I suppose if we had enough time on our hands. Service was friendly and not deserving of a complaint, however it was incredibly slow. Side note - How many Cafe Culture employees does it take to make a messy hot chocolate? Not sure but if there are 3 it'll take them a long while. We received a very messy hot chocolate and were told that that is actually how it's meant to look - Pic attached. Not sure which culture of cafe they practice but Perhaps they're wrong in this instance.

Cafe Culture is a charming little Cafe in Tauntons High Street. It's a great place to stop for a coffee or a bite to eat. It has a wide range of types of tea available. They serve gluten free bread on request. The staff are charming and friendly. Seating is both inside and outside.

I popped into this lovely little cafe in Taunton this morning. I had a cooked breakfast and a black coffee. The food and the coffee was excellent. I am really fussy about coffee but this was good and actually had taste. The thing that was outstanding was the lovely feel of the place with obviously regular customers coming in and asking for "the usual" etc. If in Taunton, come here. Much nicer than all the chains.

Lovely little place, no frills and a decent menu selection. The outdoor seating was nice, though it’s sad the high st isn’t as lively as it used to be. The table was very wobbly, which made out tea spill constantly, but the food was lovely and decent prices

We always have a lovely weekend brunch at Cafe Culture. The meals are cooked to order so their is sometimes a little wait but it was worth it! The staff are wonderful and it is a lovely cafe for having brunch at when you are in Taunton!

I regularly come here for both food a drinks and not only is the service the best I have experienced in Taunton but as is the quality of the food. The prices are slightly above average but you pay for the quality in what you get here.

Cafe Culture is a superb cafe, the service is excellent and the food great. The girls in the cafe are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. The cafe caters for all tastes and have a great range of gluten free foods (sorely lacking in many cafes). It is lovely to see an independent business doing well in Taunton, especially during such difficult times. We will certainly be regulars to this great little cafe and keep supporting local businesses.

I frequent this cafe very often for food and hot drinks and both the food and service are among the best in Taunton. Also the quality of food is far above most places in town. I will continue to return here.

Excellent cafe but totally spoilt by the very loud brass street music. Same for all cafes on this street I suspect. Not their fault but I wouldn't eat there any more unless the music moves a long way away.

We are delighted to find that our favourite little cafe has survived lockdowns. Lovely food and excellent service. We have been popping in here for lunch or to meet friends for several years.

Popped in for Scrambled egg & smoked salmon on toast.Was served scrambled egg & unsmoked salmon from a tin on toast.Scrambled egg far too runny for my taste, maybe didn't drain tinned salmon enough? and I don't like the taste of ordinary salmon so just ate granary toast which was delicious.Left without creating a fuss because ultimately no one died and customer service and décor was pleasant. I suspect proprietor might recall my visit as had to comply with NHS contact and trace requirements by leaving written contact, however I hope the feedback is viewed objectively.Would probable had revisited to sample something different perhaps on that delicious toast, though today I see it states the café is closed permanently which is a bloody shame.

Really good quality food and a lovely atmosphere. They were accommodating with different dietary requirements. However the coffee was disappointing and lacked flavour. I would recommend Culture Cafe for breakfast and hope to visit again.

Charming staff. The food is visually cooked near to the customer. I was eating a vegetarian cooked meal. However the toast was slightly burnt. The eating area is small in size. There are daily newspapers to read. In addition outside seating in the high street.

A lovely coffee and cake. Unfortunately one of the outdoor parasols was insecure and hit me. My friend told assistant who immediately checked the parasol before checking with myself that everything was ok. No apology and definitely no offer of a complimentary cuppa.

What a lovely place with lovely people running the place. Really good food and a friendly manner makes goi g there a real pleasure. The food is cooked or prepared while you wait, but not too long. The cafe has a nice homely feel and its always cosy, unless you sit by the door when its cold outside, good coffee, good food and nice staff can't ask for more. Definitely 5 stars and recommended.

Came here on a hot afternoon shopping in Taunton, and was so glad that I discovered this café at the end of the highstreet! The menu is reasonably priced, with the café standards like baked potatoes, breakfasts and paninis being available. Interestingly there is also a specials board which offered a small selection of Asian dishes, such as homemade spring rolls and dipping sauce, or even Thai green curry and rice. I had a chilli chicken and mozzarella panini which came with a lovely side salad (a nice mixed leaf salad and dressing and not just plain old iceberg lettuce!) and also ordered myself a coconut ice cream milkshake which was absolutely delicious and very filling. The restaurant was very bright and clean, and I must also note that the café toilet was immaculately clean. The staff were extremely friendly and I noticed that there were quite a few regulars popping in for a coffee which is always a good sign. Will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Taunton!

I have not eaten here lately but I think they have an interesting menu by introducing other culture dishes. I have had coffee recently.

We have dined here for several years and like the atmoshpere along with the quality of the food which has always been great. We were in Taunton and popped in mid week to have lunch and whilst I was satisfied with my Ploughmans my wife left feeling unfulfilled after ordering the quiche.Whilst the quality of the quiche was good it was a small quite thin portion, and served with a side sald that left her still hungry. We would love to give this place a fantastic review and hopefully will after our next visit but would ask they review this dish.

My wife and i were made welcome right away.A dining chair was moved so she could sit at the table in her electric power chair.The menu looked good so we ordered and were served nicely.Soon after the drinks came,i had a yummy thick shake and she a pot of tea.The pot poured properly unlike many.The food was being cooked meanwhile.it not take long and was presented well on our plates.All tasted good and hot also...so well pleased.Paid our bill at the counter and off we went again around the town.Will remember this restaurant to return again on our 50 mile trip from North Devon.

Went into this Café for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We were welcomed by the friendly Staff. The Latte was the best one I have ever had. We sat on a very comfortable Sofa which made me relax. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to chill out.

We go to Taunton about 4 times a year and Cafe Culture is our first stop before shopping. Great coffee in a choice of 2 different size cups or a large mug. The teacakes are full of juicy sultanas and are a good size. Plenty of butter to go with it. We always receive a warm welcome before we sit at the comfortable settees. Cakes are on offer and plenty of savoury snacks.

This is a great little cafe. We went on a Saturday lunchtime and were fortunate to have a choice of tables. The menu was interesting, staff were helpful and the portions were very generous. The cost was very reasonable. We enjoyed the Ostrich Burgers in large bread roll with very tasty side salad and crisps.

Stopped in Taunton for breakfast and noticed this little cafe that looked very nice. We went in and had a very enjoyable full English breakfast.

Stopped by for lunch in this small modern cafe. Had a crocodile burger and springbok burger, both with a all salad and coleslaw. Salad dressing was very nice and made by themselves. Going to try the Ostrich next time. Very nice unusual meats and worth the try. Also had two milkshakes, with a dollop of ice cream. Made a comment about the strength of flavour in one and it was received well. Certainly will stop by again. Mainly a breakfast and lunch menu but caters for gluten free if required. Very polite, attentive ladies in charge.

This is a nice little cafe and great to enjoy a spot of lunch. I have recently enjoyed the panini and hot drink deal for £6.95. The food is carefully prepared and it comes with a good, mixed salad making it great value for money.

Visited for the first time last weekend for a coffee as other establishments had long queues. We were pleasantly surprised and so returned yesterday for lunch. The staff, all quite young, were very pleasant and efficient, obviously very well trained. We had a little wait for our food but the cafe was full so understandable. Excellent toasted sandwiches with delicious salad. Will definitely visit again.

After to chatting to the owners of the Monkton Inn they told us they have a coffee shop on Taunton high street. We decided to give it a go. We went for their exotics burgers followed by a yummy piece of rocky road cake. Again we were looked after extremely well by the staff and will be returning

Yummy choice of lunchtime dishes, the paninis are delicious, especially the bacon and Brie. The staff are friendly and even provided my noisy toddler with some marshmallows while he was waiting for his marmite sandwich. I will definitely be back again soon! Good work grannies and team.

I went in on a Saturday morning wasn't busy at 9.30am so got good service was very clean inside a staff were polite. The breakfast I had was hot and very tasty and just right amount to fill me up. The coffee was hotcaswell which is nice. Clean good staff and good breakfasts means il definatley return. Good value for money P

Popped in for lunch with my 5 year old daughter to get some relief from our house moving that was going on at the time, the staff made us feel very welcome and we had a great time. The food is good quality and the cafe has a nice feel to it!
